DIRTY TRICKS

RELEASING JANUARY 25, 2016

The sexiest, most mysterious Burke brother of all peels back his stage persona to reveal the real man—and the rock-hard body—behind the rockstar in the banging fourth book from New York Times bestselling author Emma Hart’s hot new adult series that began with Dirty Past, Dirty Secret, and Dirty Lies.

After witnessing an endless string of late nights, long tours, and eager groupies her world-famous father could never resist, Chelsey Young knows the dirty truth behind the glamorous façade of the rockstar life. Which is exactly why she takes hot as hell guitarist Kye Burke to bed when he decides he wants her.

One night. That’s how rockstars roll.

Unless your name is Kye Burke. The quietest of all his brothers, Kye’s style has never really been pumping and dumping, so pursuing Chelsey isn’t a hard choice for him. The hard part is keeping hold of the girl who’s hotter than the Sahara one minute then so cold even Antarctica wouldn’t touch her the next…despite the fact that they can’t stay away from each other.

The fact that he’s about to leave for L.A. to record the newest Dirty B. album doesn’t work in his favor, either. A long-distance relationship is the reason Chelsey’s parents divorced, and she’s sworn them off. Completely. Forever. No way.

Kye has two weeks to prove to Chelsey that he isn’t the kind of man her father is. She has two weeks to convince him that it’s never going to happen. But Kye didn’t get where he is by giving up…and even if it’s the fight of his life, there’s no way he’s giving Chelsey up.

My Review

“I’ve been to heaven and hell with those guys–all of them. They’re relentless, sure, but they’re respectful. They’re forceful but sweet. And, by God, they can be the biggest pains in the ass I’ve ever met, but when they love…””When Burke boys love, they love with everything they have and are. When the Burke boys love, they love forever.”

“I didn’t ask her to fall in love with me. I didn’t ask to fall in love with her. It just happened–like a fucking shooting star, we fell in love. Brightly, hotly, and so damn quickly that you’d miss it if you blinked.”

“Maybe real love doesn’t come from your heart at all–maybe real love comes from your soul, an inexplicable and unprovable part of the human existence that goes beyond all reason. After all, doesn’t love go beyond all reason? Isn’t love the greatest insanity anyone can experience? I think so. If love is insanity, then heartbreak is reality, and I’m strung between the two in a no-man’s-land, like I’m hovering on the edge of the cosmos.”

What can I say about Dirty Tricks? This book has so much heart and is so real. Kye and Chelsey are both so real and complex. Some may even say that Chelsey is unlikable. But that is not the case for me. Chelsey is tough and stubborn and so complex. Some may see her as a total bitch and that she is not worth Kye’s time. But, once you get to know Chelsey and you see who she really is, you understand why she is the way that she is. You being to understand why she is so closed off and has such high and guarded wall. It takes a special soul, a special type of person to be able to penetrate those walls, and that person is Kye. Kye is special in his own way. He is so unlike the other Burke brothers. He is softer and more thoughtful, but that doesn’t make him any less of an alpha male. Kye knew exactly what Chelsea needed even when she had no clue herself.

Dirty Tricks is the final book in The Burke Brothers series and I have to tell you, I am so sad to see them go. I have been a fan of this series ever since I got my hands on the very first book. With each book, I have managed to fall deeper and deeper in love with the characters and their stories. I fell in love with Kye and Chelsey immediately. I could just tell that their story was going to be special and it definitely was. Dirty Tricks had everything that I could have wanted and more. It had complex and intriguing characters. The story line was refreshing and filled with lots of heart. Chelsey’s character was frustrating and complicated, but ended up being the perfect match for Kye. Their road to HEA was not an easy one; they definitely had a lot of bumps along the way. But, seeing the two of them together…..you just knew. You knew that these two were meant to be. They challenged each other and didn’t let each other get away with anything. In the end, they were just perfect.

Dirty Tricks is a fabulous addition to The Burke Brothers series. This story will pull you and keep you captivated the entire time. Emma Hart has once again delivered an amazing read filled with lots of love, romance, and sexy good times. This book will frustrate you, pull at your heart and make you swoon all at the same time. There is just so much to love about Kye and Chelsey’s story. And the epilogue….It was absolute perfection. It may have even brought a few tears to my eyes. Fans of Emma Hart, this is a definite must read. It does not disappoint!

EXCERPT

“What,” Chelsey exclaims, “the hell is that?”

With a wide smile spreading across my face, I shove my hands in my pockets like a teenage boy and look at her. “A Christmas tree.”

“Are those . . . penises?”

“Technically, dildos.”

“Like real ones?” She jerks her alarmed gaze to me.

“No. Just plastic.”

She flicks her tongue across her lips. “Uh-huh. Why do you have penises across your Christmas tree?”

“Because he’s an immature little bastard,” Leila answers for me.

“You didn’t stop me,” I shoot back.

“Hell no I didn’t. I cannot wait to see Mom’s face when she sees this!”

“When she sees what?” Mom’s voice creeps through the house ominously, and the close of the door after her sounds like the signal that I should run away.

“Uh . . . I’m just gonna go . . .to the store. . . .” I shuffle toward the door that connects the front room with the kitchen.

Chelsey lifts her eyebrows in amusement, and Dad grabs the back of my shirt so I can’t escape.

You wouldn’t think I was twenty-four. For numerous reasons, obviously.

“Kye Burke, why are there tiny penises on my Christmas tree?”

Her voice is calm. Really calm. I’m even more convinced that I should run. “Merry Cock-mas?”

Mom’s expression is somewhere between insane amusement and extreme frustration.

“I’m just gonna come back later . . .” Chelsey whispers, edging toward the living room door. “When there are less . . . cocks.”

“Good idea! I’ll come with you.” I wrestle out of Dad’s grip and dart behind him, through the kitchen, and into the hall.

Chelsey laughs and grabs my arm, dragging me back into the room. “I said I was going. I didn’t say you were escaping this cock-up.”

“Great choice of words,” Dad chuckles.

Mom pinches the bridge of her nose. “I should have known that when three boys left, one boy would have to make the impression of three,” she says, mostly to herself. “I should have known that the one who never left his little peep alone at two would one day decorate my tree in cocks.”

“Mom! What the hell?” I sputter.

“I should have known that his ball-hoarding obsession at six was a sign of things to come,” she sighs heavily and drops her hand. “After all, there’s one in every boyband. I thought I was ready for this.” Then, she turns to me. “Kye, son, we love you anyway, but I have to ask. Are you gay?”

Chelsey lets go of me, and laughter rips from her. Leila laughs, too, her book falling to the floor. Dad covers his face with his hands, and Mom just stands there in the middle of the room, her eyes wide. Her hands are now clasped in front of her sympathetically, and the tiny upturn of the right side of her mouth explains it all.

“Well played, Mother,” I say reluctantly, walking back toward the front door. “Well. Played.”

Review: Wicked Reunion (Wicked White #2) by Michelle A. Valentine

Posted on

wickedreunion

College sweethearts London Uphill and Jared Kraft were inseparable. He was a rising baseball star with a promising future, and she seemed destined to become “Mrs. Kraft.” Then a tragic night and a series of devastating mistakes caused Jared to walk away from his life, leaving London without any explanation and tearing the couple apart.

Five years later, Jared has reinvented himself by putting down the bat and picking up a guitar to play for the red-hot band Wicked White. In all that time, London hasn’t gotten over her forever love—or the pain—despite seeking solace in the arms of the one man no one dreamed she’d run to.

When Wicked White’s lead singer goes MIA, Jared finds the time—and courage—to return to his hometown and face the mess he made. He’s shocked at how London’s life has changed, yet he’s determined to prove their love is worth fighting for. Is this breakup too big for any hope of a reunion tour? Or can London open her heart to Jared once again?

My Review

When I heard about Wicked Reunion, I was super excited to read it. I loved Wicked White, so I was really stoked to be back in this rock-n-roll world. Wicked Reunion is told from dual points of view and follows the story of Jared and London. Jared and London had an amazing relationship. They had been together for years; through thick and thin. Nothing could break these two apart, or so they thought. When tragedy strikes, Jared’s life will spin out of control. He will make some big decisions that he will soon regret….London was devastated when Jared broke her heart. For years, she held onto hope that he would come back to  her. However, with each year that passed, she quickly realized that she needed to try to move on. And boy did she try. She tried so hard to move on and find happiness, but Jared was always on her mind. When the lead singer for Wicked White goes MIA, Jared finds himself returning home. However, he’s not prepared for how much life has changed without him. Will Jared be able to salvage the life he once knew or has too much time gone by to repair the damage that he caused??

Wicked Reunion was a quick and easy read for me. I am a huge fan of Second Chance Romances and I was really intrigued by Jared and London’s story. I enjoyed London’s character. I felt awful for the way things went down with her and Jared. I really wanted things to be better for her and I wanted her to find some happiness after all that happened.

I did have a few problems with Wicked Reunion. I felt like a lot of the story was rushed. Yes, it is a novella, so I do expect things to be fast paced, but I would have liked to have seen a little more development of Jared and London’s relationship. I felt like things progressed way too quickly for them. I didn’t like how quickly London forgave Jared. I mean, I don’t know about you guys, but if someone I’m desperately in love with destroys me and I’ve been pinning over him for a few years, I’m going to want this guy to grovel and prove himself worthy of me. I also didn’t like who London chose to move on with. I feel like there would have been a lot of conflict with her choice and that once again, there would be no way that Jared would accept that and if London really loved Jared the way that she claimed, there is no way she could try to move on with the person that she did.

Overall, Wicked Reunion was just an ok read. I think it had a ton of potential, but sadly, it missed the mark for me. I really wanted more from this story and these characters. There was so much that I didn’t agree with and wish that it would have been handled a lot differently. I honestly think that this is going to one of those stories that you’re either going to love or going to hate. And while it wasn’t a big hit for me, I’m still glad I checked this story out.

Excerpt

Prologue

“In the end, we are all just humans…drunk on the idea that love, and only love, can heal our brokenness.”

-F. Scott Fitzgerald

Gavin

“I need a Michelob Light, two Jack and Cokes, a bourbon on the rocks, and a Sex on the Beach,” a waitress calls to me over the crowded bar.

“Yes, ma’am,” I shout over the din while filling the order quickly, tossing an umbrella into the fruity drink and briefly wondering what the hell kind of group orders such random drinks. It’s an odd number, so probably not a double date.

Once her tray is full, she takes off into the crowd and I take a few more orders from patrons sitting at the bar. The house band announcing that they’re taking a break and I’m grateful that the bar is full enough to keep it from being quiet.

Silence has always been my enemy. Hence why I play the drums, the loudest most deafening musical instrument in existence. They’re the only things that drown out the sounds in my head. Once my customers and waitresses have been taken care of, I do a quick wipe down of the bar and restock the highball glasses.

It’s in the brief moment when the pool balls knocking together and the raucous chatter die down that I hear it.

Someone is playing the piano, the old Wurlitzer that sits abandoned in the back corner of the Tavern. It’s not the music itself that stops me where I stand. It’s the way it’s being played. Effortless yet meticulous, a combination that I’ve only known one musician in my entire life to be capable of.

Glancing in the direction where the melody is drifting from I notice I’m not the only one mesmerized by the sound. Half the bar has made their way to the back corner to get a closer listen. My boss, a perpetually red-faced man named Cal, is going to kill me, but I have to see. I have to know if it’s her. My body propels itself around the bar just as a voice from my right calls my name, startling me out of my trance.

Turning, I look directly into a pair of gleaming green eyes beneath a perfectly even bob of blond hair.

Ashley Weisman stands across from me in her pencil skirt and oxford dress shirt with two too-many buttons undone to be here for professional reasons.

“You’ve been avoiding my phone calls,” she says evenly.

“Been busy.” Huffing out a breath, I place my hand gently on her elbow and attempt to steer her toward the exit.

Stilettos planted firmly on the liquor-sticky floor, she purses her full red lips at me and glares into my eyes. “You can’t ignore me forever. I’m your attorney. Besides, what’s the rush, Gavin? Not even going to offer me a drink? What kind of bartender are you?”

“One who doesn’t have time for this right now. I’ll call you tomorrow.”

I can’t explain it, but deep in my soul—if I have one that is—I know exactly who’s playing the piano behind me. I don’t know why she’s here, I don’t know if she knows I work here, and I sure as hell don’t know if she’ll want to see me. What I do know is that she and Ashley cannot cross paths right now. Not yet. Not before I’ve told her everything.

“I think I’ll take the drink now, thank you very much.” Twisting out of my reach, she hops up onto a barstool and steadily ignores the scowl on my face.

The music continues swirling around us and all I know is right now, I need to know who is playing that damn piano.

Clenching my fists, I walk around behind the bar and wait for her to tell me what she wants.

“I’ll have a screaming orgasm, please.” Her eyes gleam and I meet her interested gaze with a dispassionate one. “Multiples, actually.”

I barely suppress a loud sigh and grab the Bailey’s and a top shelf bottle of vodka. Once her drink is mixed I set it down in front of her.

“On the house. Feel free to take it and go.”

A frown mars her attractive face. “I don’t think I’ve ever seen you in such a hurry to get rid of me. You have a hot date later?”

I can’t help it, I glance over toward the piano. The music speeds up and so does my heart rate. The notes call to me like a siren song and I know I won’t be able to keep myself from barreling over there for much longer.

“The piano player? I saw her when I came in. She’s pretty.”

“You done?” I nod to a newbie bar back named Jake to come get her empty glass and he does.

“Oh, I see,” she says evenly, watching me carefully. “It’s her, isn’t it? The one you’re so eager to get your shit together for, huh?”

“I need to get my shit together regardless, Ashley. You know that. How about helping me do that instead of causing more trouble?”

She frowns as if I’ve insulted her. “I’m not trying to cause trouble. I’m curious. Pretty sure curiosity isn’t a crime.”

Closing my eyes, I inhale through my nose and exhale out my mouth like the meetings have taught me. “You know what they say about curiosity.”

Cal walks by and I call out that I’m taking my break. Without waiting for his response or approval, I move out from behind the bar and make my way through the sea of bodies separating me from the girl behind the piano. Once I’ve navigated the treacherous waters, I see her.

It’s smoky in here tonight and several women I’m not familiar with are surrounding her but I see her sitting there—playing her heart out—and all I can do is watch.

She doesn’t make music, or create it. She is music. It flows through her as she plays and it’s an incredible sight to behold.

There she is. My beautiful bluebird.

My stomach tenses and my throat constricts.

She shouldn’t be here.

I shouldn’t be here.

Seeing me here will hurt her and there is nothing I wouldn’t give to prevent that.

Before I can even begin to formulate the words in my mind that I should say to make this okay, to make it somehow hurt her less, the music stops and she turns as if she can feel me standing there. Applause breaks out around us but it fades into background noise.

There isn’t a name for the emotion that crosses her face, darkening her eyes and causing the fire in them to flare at me. It’s part shock, part betrayal, and complete pain.

My jaw clenches and I force my eyes to remain on hers even though they’d prefer to close and block out the sight of her wounds deepening.

“Taking requests?” Ashley’s voice calls out from beside me. Her expression says she’s genuinely impressed by Dixie’s talent but I can guess what my temperamental Bluebird will see.

Dixie Leigh Lark arches an eyebrow at her and then shoots me a scowl of pure disgust before answering with a short, “not at the moment.”

“Too bad,” Ashley answers with a shrug.

I step closer to Dixie just as she shoves the piano bench backward, scarping it across the hardwood floor. Before I can blink, we’re face to face and if looks could kill, someone would be performing CPR on me in a matter of seconds.

“Dixie, I—”

“Go to hell, Gavin,” is all that escapes her beautiful mouth. Her rage hits me with the force of a ten-foot plate glass window shattering over me.

I turn to watch her storm out, running a hand over my head and feeling the heat of several angry glares from other women around me.

Ashley smirks from behind her glass as she polishes off another drink I didn’t realize she was holding. “Well that escalated quickly.”

Yeah. It did.

I am so fucked.

My Review

“I felt comfort and surety in the choice we’d made. The jump we’d taken. And together, we fell. Fell into the song, our fingers finding their own rhythm on the strings. Fell into the words, our spirts and tounges coming together to tell our story. Fell further into beauty. Fell into a sea of stars that blinded my eyes. Where we floated in a high place that belonged only to us. A place that didn’t belong to the world”

I don’t know about you guys, but ever since I finished A Stone in the Sea, I have been waiting to get my hands on this book. We were left with one crazy, and I mean crazy cliffhanger and I just had to know what happened next.

Drowning to Breathe picks up right where A Stone in the Sea left off. Shea is left reeling after Martin takes Kallie away. Her connection to Martin nearly destroys Sebastian. Of all people for Shea to share a past with, why did it have to Martin? Shea is now in the fight of her life, having to not only get her daughter back, but to also salvage what is left of her relationship with Sebastian. Will Sebastian be able to move past the lies that were told? Will Shea be able to beat her past and finally be able to live she deserves?

Drowning to Breathe pulled me in from the very first page. I got lost in the brilliance of AL Jackson’s writing. Shea and Sebastian’s story consumed me. The pages begging to be read and their story to be told. This book reminded me of why I love AL Jackson’s writing. Her writing and emotions are so real. So much heart and soul went into this story. I have been dying for a good, angsty read lately, and AL Jackson does not disappoint. With lines like these: “This….this was my penance. The payment for my sins. Punishment for every naive choice I had made. For every deciet I had blindly swallowed. For every lie that had fallen from my lips. But every one of them I’d told for her. To keep her safe. To allow us a life he would never let her live. But we can run as hard and as fast as we want, and until we put our pasts to rest, they will always catch up to us. Now mine had us in its grip.” or “I gave you my fucking heart, Shea. All of it. Wanted to claim Kallie as my own. Wanted everything with you, and now it turns out I know nothing.” I was lost. I absolutely did not stand a chance. The angst and the pain just pulled at my heart and demanded to be felt.

I don’t want to say too much, because I don’t want to give anything away. However, I will say this: this book was everything that I was looking for and more. Drowning to Breathe is well written, flawless and spellbinding. This story will pull at your heart. It gave me soooooo many feels. I loved the angst, the romance, the drama and all the secrets and lies. I was consumed with the characters and their story. I fell more in love with Shea and Sebastian, if that’s even possible. And the side characters do not disappoint either.

I loved everything about this book from start to finish and can’t wait to read more from this author in the future.

EXCERPT

My heart slammed around in my chest and my sight narrowed on one singular goal.

Her.

It felt like a lifetime to get to her house, and there was nothing stopping me now. Unlocking her front door, I charged up the

stairs. I didn’t pause at her bedroom door. I threw it open. I needed to get to her.

With her back to me, Shea was curled around a pillow on the center of her bed. She startled with the sudden intrusion and jerked up to sitting. Caramel eyes blinked at me through the dim light, confusion and hurt and sorrow.

Motionless, I stood in the doorway as the silence hovered over all our uncertainties.

On all the questions.

But Shea was right.

None of that mattered.

And this was enough.

“Shea.” My voice broke on her name.

I took a step inside and latched the door shut behind me.

Shea’s chin quivered, and she lifted it because I knew this girl wanted to be brave. I knew she was playing through a million scenarios. Mentally going through all the ways I was going to let her go. How I was going to let her down. I knew the words she expected to spill from my mouth because for too long I’d been a coward and a fool, thinking sacrifice was the only way to make this right.

Because every time I turned around, I lost someone I loved.

Not this time.

I swallowed hard. “You want to know what I see when I look at you?”

When the intensity in my voice hit her, Shea choked out a tiny sob.

I took one step closer as I began to speak. “I see someone who’s so fucking sweet and kind that every time I look at her it just about knocks me from my feet, because I’ve had so much bad in my life I don’t know how to stand in her presence. I see

someone who I know I don’t deserve, so every time I turn around, I’m runnin’ scared because I’m terrified of ruining everything she is.”

Slowly, I approached her, and she watched me in the shadows. Her hands trembled in her lap as I neared.

“I see someone who deserves the greatest kind of joy.”

Another step closer, and Shea crept toward the side of the bed. She drew a single leg up to her chest. Clinging to it as if it could protect her from any more pain. Everything she felt and wanted and feared was exposed in the expression on her face.

I stopped at the edge of the bed and dropped to my knees.

A small cry escaped her mouth.

Reaching out, I gripped her face in my hands, my fingers burrowing in soft, soft hair.

“I see someone, who even though there’s not a chance in this world I could ever be good enough to have her…good enough to hold her…that’s all I want to do. I see someone I want to protect and love and fight for.”

Tears streamed down her cheeks. She edged even closer and let her legs slip over the side.

I settled myself between her knees and met the storm in her eyes.

“I see beauty and light.”

Those eyes flashed, and emotion crushed my ribs. This girl had me twisted up in every way possible.

Shea gasped when I grabbed her by the waist and pulled her to me. I shifted so I sat on the floor with my back propped against the bed.

Shea was straddling my lap.

Warmth enveloped me. Her heart was pounding, all tucked up against me, right where she belonged.

Her skin felt so soft. Mine lit on fire.

She searched my face and I kept on.

“I see the most fucking gorgeous girl I’ve ever had the pleasure to lay my eyes on.” My voice dropped as I leaned up so I could brush my mouth across her ear. “The pleasure to touch.”

A shiver rolled through her, and I gathered one of her hands between us, threading our fingers. I studied them as I struggled to form the words.

I lifted my gaze and spoke with the most honesty I’d ever allowed myself.

“When I look at you, I see a future I never thought existed, Shea.”

Excerpt

Those bitches were gonna die.

That was a horrible thing to say about my so-called ‘friends’—and I used the word friends loosely, because true friends wouldn’t ditch you the day of your scheduled road trip because they’d rather be sunbathing in the Hamptons.

The fucking Hamptons.

Ew.

I mean, how clichéd could you get.

This was why I hated rich people.

It also sucked that I was one of those rich people.

Well, I wasn’t, but my dad was.

So by extension so was I.

When you grew up with a rock star for a dad, cameras and eyes followed you everywhere. It was exhausting.

I couldn’t just be Willow.

I was Willow Wade.

The daughter of the famous drummer Maddox Wade.

People expected greatness from me.

I just wanted to graduate college without slitting my wrists.

The New York Times bestselling author of Slow

Burn turns up the heat when a sexy bet turns into so much more….

Hawkin Play, the bad boy rock star with a good guy heart, has lived a lifetime of cleaning up after his twin brother’s mistakes. Hunter’s most recent screwup could land Hawke in jail and risk the band’s future. Hawke agrees to guest lecture at a local college to stay in the judge’s good graces—and a bet with his bandmate to seduce his sexy teaching assistant is icing on the cake.

Quinlan Westin is harder to bed than Hawke imagined. She knows his type and is determined to avoid the rocker at all costs—even if their attraction runs deeper than simple lust.

Just as Hawke might finally be winning over the girl, his brother has other plans. When Hunter realizes his twin finally has a weakness, he’ll stop at nothing to take advantage….

EXCERPT

Hawkin

Well, shit. Guess there’s not going to be any calm before the next storm. I look at my brother and sigh.

I hit the road, drive for what feels like hours. I don’t know where I’m going or what I’m looking to find, but as long as I keep moving, my past can’t catch up to me.

At least it’s a good idea in theory because I can’t outrun this shit. The stuff I want to and the stuff I don’t want to.

I end up the one place I used to go to be alone, to think, and as I stare at the Hollywood sign from my seat on the grass at the Griffith Park Observatory, I love the feeling that I’m this little person in this big world. The idea comforts me some. The notion that on the grand scale of things my problems are minute. Someone out there has it way worse.

And no one expects a rock star to be here so with my hat pulled low on my head, I’m able to disappear.

I stare down below to the city where as a little boy, scared and traumatized, I wondered how all of the dreams inside my head could ever see the light of day when I felt like I had the responsibility of the world on my small shoulders. But I did. And I made it.

So why do I feel like I’m still not enough? For my brother? To make my mother better? For Quinlan to even want me beyond the killer sex we have? For the fans who scream and sing my lyrics like they live them when they have no fucking clue the meaning behind the words?

I scrub my hands over my face, needing a drink, craving an ice cream cone, and wanting the feeling of Quinlan’s arms wrapped around me as she silently sits there and just is with me.

My mind veers to Hunter. I push the guilt away, hold on to my gut check rationalization that he deserved it, and realize that’s the trouble I’m having here. Going with my gut versus going with the bullshit promises I’ve lived by forever.

My stomach churns and my head feels like Gizmo’s banging the hell out of it with his sticks. I shove up off the grass, needing to get the fuck out of here, my heart and head in conflict and for the first time in forever I dare to think what could happen if my heart finally won for once.

K. lives in Southern California with her husband and three children. When she needs a break from the daily chaos of her life, you can most likely find her on the treadmill or with Kindle in hand, devouring the pages of a good, saucy book.

On a whim, K. Bromberg decided to try her hand at this writing thing. Her debut novels, Driven, Fueled, and Crashed of The Driven Trilogy were well received and went on to become multi-platform bestsellers as well as landing on the New York Times and USA Today lists. Her other works include a short story, UnRaveled, and a companion piece to The Driven Trilogy titled Raced. She is currently working on three stand alone Driven novels, Slow Burn, Sweet Ache, and Hard Beat. She also plans to release a novel addressing the 10 year gap at the ending of Crashed in late fall 2015

Review: All Your Reasons (The Crave Series #1) by Nina Levine

BOOK ONE IN THE NEW ROCKSTAR SERIES FROM USA TODAY BESTSELLING AUTHOR NINA LEVINE

When heartbreaker meets ball breaker, sparks will fly.

Rockstar, Jett Vaughn, isn’t against settling down, but no woman has ever held his attention long enough for a relationship to develop. That is until he meets Presley Hart. She’s confident, opinionated and headstrong. She drives him to the edge of crazy, but he can’t deny how she makes him feel.

He wants her heart, but she only wants his body.

Presley’s not against giving her heart to a man, but she has too many reasons why he’s not the one to give it to. Jett isn’t a man who will take no for an answer though. He’s about to declare war on her reasons and take what he wants.

** Please note this is a novella of approximately 25000 words that introduces you to Jett & Presley. Their story is not finished yet. **

My Review

I’m just going to keep this review short and sweet. All Your Reasons was a quick and easy read for me. Although this story might be a novella, it packs quiet a punch. It’s got rock-stars. It’s hot. It’s sexy. An overall fun read. I was sucked into the story-line right away. Presley is this strong independent woman. She works hard and is trying to put the past behind her. Jett may seem like the typical bad boy rocker, but there is so much more to him. He’s got a big heart and is compassionate. He doesn’t want to settle for just one night with Presley. I loved the two of them together. Their chemistry was instant and off the charts. However, Presley is keeping one secret from Jett. She’s married. They’ve been separated for 6 months and now, Presley’s husband is back in the picture and suddenly wants his wife back. Presley is now caught between two men that want her and won’t stop until they get what they want. I can’t wait to see where the story will go next and who will win over Presley’s heart.
