Meet Dawn Robertson
Three times bestselling author Dawn Robertson was born and raised in Connecticut before relocating to Florida in 2013. The same year first novel, Hers debuted as an Amazon Best Seller. Replicating that success with two additional novels in the following years.
The Indie publishing world has grown to love her raw writing style depicting strong women in real life situations, topping the charts in erotica, romance, and romance-suspense. Robertson has even insinuated that the female character in her book mirror her real life.
But, that I’ll leave to speculation.
When Dawn Robertson is not writing, she is a full-time Real Estate professional in Florida, and mother of three amazing children.

EXCERPT

I sat in my office for the better part of the morning
yesterday, staring at a long list of things to do now that winter is upon us. There
was no way in hell I was going to be able to look it over if I didn’t pull my
head out of my ass. I have always taken every job I’ve had seriously. Pushed myself
to the limit. But when the woman you love is mere feet away from you after
years of you not being able to touch her, then your job goes down with it. At least
it has for me.
I’m anything but calm. I’m fucking seething.
I came home from seeing her in that window and beat the hell
out of my punching bag until my knuckles were raw. I thought about moving so I
would never have to see her again. Then quickly changed my mind because the
thought of her eventually finding someone else, another man touching what
belongs to me, made me want to put a bullet through my head. I’ll die if I find
out someone has. I had to call Hunter to calm me down. He laughed for all of
ten seconds. Then he sobered right up and started paddling in the opposite direction.
“You man the hell up, boy. Right your wrongs and fight for that girl. I can’t
imagine what she’s going through. Can you?” he said. My jaw dropped. His words
punched me in the gut. But to hear him say the words that have been rotting
away in my stomach had me falling back in a chair. My legs were no longer able
to hold me.
I wasn’t about to argue with him when what he said was
right. Not to mention, I respected the man. Adriana has and still is living in
hell. We both have.
Then I drank. My mind kept fading back to last night, how
she went from her playful, seductive way to a traumatized victim of life’s
cruelty. It was written all over her face, her body. She’s on the verge of
falling apart, and even though she held herself together well, when she turned
around her face gave it all away.mMy beautiful Adriana is barely keeping it
together. I could see right through her. She’s lost.
My mind goes back to this same day years ago. Burning blue orbs
watched my every move, sending blood straight to my dick. Those eyes needed to
be staring down at me while she rode him. I lifted my hand to reveal a sexy-as-hell
corset. My own blues traveled up and down her body. Fuck, this would look good
on her. It was purple. My favorite color next to the nude of her creamy-white
skin. She immediately looked away when her sister strolled in dressed in
clothes that looked like she’d slept in them. Hair a mess and eyes so red you
would have to get up close to see their true color. I went from being turned
the fuck on to royally fucking pissed. On our anniversary, no less.
I did my best to pay attention to what was happening between
the two of them as my fingers flexed around the silky material in anger.
Adriana loved the feel of silk. I loved the feel of her. But the sight of
Alexis being here was enough to make me sick. My ears were hurting as I tried
to pay attention to what they were saying.
“What on earth is she doing here looking like that, damn
her?” I grumbled. I knew what she was doing, and I hated her all the more for
it. She was trying to save her ass before I had the chance to try and set her
straight. To backpaddle. And the part of her that wasn’t high on whatever her
choice of the day was, was eating away at her. She knew she fucked up in the
worst possible way. Stupid bitch. I didn’t like her before. I hated her now,
and I had every reason to.
Adriana and Alexis argued for minutes. I knew Adriana wasn’t
buying her excuses. She had heard them all. All except the one I threatened
Alexis to keep hidden. I was ready to break the two of them apart when her
sister stormed out of the store and those once burning eyes quickly smoldered
out with tears. With the garment still in my hands, I made it to her just
before her legs gave out. I took her in my arms, cradled her to my chest, and
held on tight while she let it all out. All the time knowing this was our last
anniversary to be together and it was fucking ruined.
Everything about Adriana mirrors the same as that incident years
ago. She’s barely holding herself together. The sadness, the shame, the guilt.
Not a one of them is her fault. It’s fucking fate. The word so many people in this
fucked-up world we live in believe in.
“I don’t know what to do. I had every intention of telling
her everything last night. Fuck, I even brought the file with me so she could
read it, because I wasn’t sure I had it in me to tell her how my greed in
trying to give her the world nearly cost her life. She’s so fucking broken over
everything that has happened to her that I’m afraid she won’t be able to handle
this.” I’ve never believed in fate. Not until she moved here. What I used to
believe in was a love so powerful it can’t be stopped no matter how much a person
tries. No matter how many unmovable obstructions are thrown in its path. Love
always finds a way. I’m just not so sure of it anymore. This whole thing is a
riddle full of confusing. I just need to get her back.

About THE IMPOSSIBLE VASTNESS OF US:

“I know how to watch my back. I’m the only one that ever has.”

India Maxwell hasn’t just moved across the country—she’s plummeted to the bottom rung of the social ladder. It’s taken years to cover the mess of her home life with a veneer of popularity. Now she’s living in one of Boston’s wealthiest neighborhoods with her mom’s fiancé and his daughter, Eloise. Thanks to her soon-to-be stepsister’s clique of friends, including Eloise’s gorgeous, arrogant boyfriend Finn, India feels like the one thing she hoped never to be seen as again: trash.

But India’s not alone in struggling to control the secrets of her past. Eloise and Finn, the school’s golden couple, aren’t all they seem to be. In fact, everyone’s life is infinitely more complex than it first appears. And as India grows closer to Finn and befriends Eloise, threatening the facades that hold them together, what’s left are truths that are brutal, beautiful, and big enough to change them forever…

EXCERPT:

“India, I’m not using her. I mean, I am, but it’s not like that. Eloise is getting what she wants out of this relationship, as well.”

“Like what?”

“I can’t tell you.”

“You are using her.”

“I’m not.” His chair screeched as he pulled it closer so our knees touched. His dark eyes moved over my face and I sucked in my breath at the open appreciation I saw there. “I’m not using her…but we are in a relationship together. I guess it just never occurred to me that I might actually meet someone in high school. Someone I…”

That feeling in my chest, that thick, hot feeling, threatened to overwhelm me at all the things he wasn’t saying. “Finn, Eloise is going to be my family.”

He looked so forlorn it took everything within me not to reach for him.

“What is it you’re hiding?”

“I can’t tell you. Please, just trust me.”

Hurt and frustration swept through me in equal measure but I tamped it down. It wasn’t my place to demand his secrets.

My frustration was suddenly mirrored in his eyes as he looked up at me. “I wish things were different.”

But they weren’t different. And yet they were the same, history repeating itself. I cared about someone and they didn’t care enough about me back to be honest about what was really going on.

I didn’t know if I was angry at Finn or just angry that nothing ever seemed to be easy for me. Everything was always a fight.

It felt like I lived in a constant clusterfuck.

I gave a huff of laughter. “Story of my life.” I shook my head, grabbed up my bag and, unable to look at him, said, “Thank you for your help tonight.”

“You’re not leaving without me.”

His protectiveness confused and pissed me off even more. “I’m not? Funny, it looks like that’s exactly what I’m doing.”

His familiar scowl was back in place at my sarcasm. “You’re also not going home alone after what happened here. I’ll give you a ride.”

“Finn.” I slumped, suddenly feeling exhausted. “I don’t think that’s a good idea.”

Sadness flittered through his eyes before he managed a carefully blank expression. “I think I can handle driving you home.”

Still a trembling mess after everything that had happened, I gave in and followed Finn out to his car.

The tension that we’d shared before was nothing compared to how it was now. Now that Finn had in a roundabout way admitted he liked me and I’d realized that what I was feeling for him was attraction, the tension could not be mistaken for anything else but sexual.

I’d never felt anything like it before—it was the most frustrating, scary and exhilarating feeling in the world.

When we eventually pulled up outside the house, the guilt washed over me. I shouldn’t be feeling this way about Eloise’s boyfriend and he certainly shouldn’t be feeling this way about me.

I felt like we were to blame for the whole thing but I didn’t know why.

I hadn’t asked the universe to make Finn like me.

And I had definitely not intended to like him in return.

“India,” he said just as I moved to get out of his car. “I’ve never really cared what anybody thought of me before…but I really don’t want you to think I’m a bad person.”

I stared into his beautiful eyes. “I can’t imagine ever thinking you’re a bad person. I meant it earlier…thank you for coming for me tonight. I’ll never forget it.”

“This feels weirdly like a goodbye,” he said with a bitter twist to his gorgeous lips.

“Maybe it is. I guess we’re both just a complication the other doesn’t need.”

Slowly, so slowly my heart had time to increase in hard, steady thumps, Finn slid his hand over the center console between us and stroked his thumb along the side of my hand. I felt that simple touch in every nerve, my body reacting to it in a way it never had to the touches and deep kisses that had come before it.

I stared at our hands for a moment, wondering how different my life could be if Finn wasn’t Eloise’s boyfriend, if we’d just met as strangers at school, felt the inexplicable bond between us and were free to do something about it.

Suddenly very aware of how long I’d been sitting outside the house in his car, I fumbled for the door handle. “See you around, Finn.”

EXCERPT

Dr. Finn Gallagher found himself at the clinic on Primrose Lane, wondering what the hell he’d gotten himself into.

In the seven and half hours he’d been there, he’d seen forty-five patients. Only five of whom actually had something physically wrong with them. All five were female and under the age of sixteen. As far as he could tell, not one of them was interested in marrying him.

The other forty had nothing wrong with them. And, as far as he could tell, were very interested in marrying him. If they weren’t, their grandmothers and mothers were. Interested in him marrying their daughters and granddaughters, that is.

At the beginning of the day, it was kind of amusing, even a little flattering. But by 10:45 it had gotten old and annoying. It didn’t help that he kept thinking of the patients he saw while working with Doctors Without Borders. Those people needed him, desperately. They weren’t fake coughing or complaining about phantom chest pains. They were sick and hungry, wounded and scared. They weren’t spoiled and whiny and ungrateful.

He winced at his unflattering characterizations and intolerance. While there was some truth to his observations, the throbbing ache in his leg injury was making him grumpy. Knowing his father had been right and Finn wasn’t ready to go back to the Congo wasn’t doing much to improve his mood.

Sherry, Doc Bishop’s nurse and a woman Finn had dated in high school, opened the door to the closet-sized office. “Pain hasn’t let up, has it?” she asked with a compassionate smile.

“I’m good. Just had to return a couple of phone calls.” He set down the cold cup of coffee he hadn’t had a chance to drink, removed the ice pack from his knee, and surreptitiously hid it behind the welcome-to-the-clinic plant from the staff, which Finn now mentally referred to as the matchmaking clinic from hell. He pushed to his feet with a closed-mouth smile that hopefully hid his clenched his teeth from Sherry’s observant gaze.

“Really? I rescheduled Molly, Sally, and Karen’s physicals to tomorrow, but if you’re okay to see—”

“No, tomorrow’s good. On second thought, why don’t you schedule them with Doc Bishop? They’ve been going to him for twenty years. I’m sure they’d be more comfortable—”

“They would be or you would?” she said with a laugh, and then proceeded to share way too much information about all three women before adding, “Dr. Bishop won’t be in tomorrow. Mrs. Fitzgerald invited him to make up a foursome, remember?”

Finn rubbed his jaw. “I’m not sure that’s something you should share—”

She made a ha-snort sound and then cuffed him on the shoulder. “Not that kind of foursome, silly. They’re playing golf.” She ha-snorted again. “It’s no wonder that’s where your mind went after the offers you’ve had today. Kerry will get a good laugh over that one.”

If Sherry had her master’s in gossip, Kerry, the receptionist, had her PhD. Finn figured he’d provided them with enough to talk about for a month at least. He lifted his chin in the direction of the examination rooms. There were five. “Who’s next?”

“I cleared out the waiting room of all but legit complaints, so you only have four. Patient number one won’t take long. She just needs her script renewed.” She handed him a file.

He looked at the name and handed it back. “Might be better if Doc Bishop sees Ms. Templeton.”

“He left early. Mrs. DiRossi invited him for dinner, and I think he wanted to get spiffed up.” Sherry frowned and looked from Finn to examination room number one. “Is there a reason you don’t want to see Dana?”

My name is Lucy Tucker, and my life…it was perfect.

I worked the dream job. I had the most incredible family and friends. My
home, Whispering Willows, a ranch in Montana, was everything I could ever
wish for. My adoring fiancé, Samuel Stone, loved me unconditionally.

I had everything a girl could ever want.

But one fateful event shattered my perfect life. It’s unimaginable how
simple, ordinary words can change a person’s life forever. For me those
words were, “There’s been an accident.”

I thought Sam was my forever, but that forever came to a close the day
Saxon Stone, Sam’s identical twin brother, came back. Saxon returned to
Montana to help save Sam, however, the moment he entered my life, he turned
my world upside down. But through chaos I somehow found clarity—clarity of
who I was meant to be.

As time progressed, as seasons changed, and as a fire began to burn, I soon
realized that Saxon was there for another reason…he was there to help save
me.
