Synopsis

Lt. Grayson Masters is focused on graduating the Apache helicopter course, and the last thing he needs is his gorgeous new roommate Samantha Fitzgerald distracting him. While her smart mouth and free spirit are irresistibly irritating, he can’t deny their off-the-charts chemistry, no matter how hard he tries.

Having just been expelled from college, Sam has no business digging for Grayson’s secrets while she’s hiding her own, but that doesn’t stop her from trying to tear down his walls. Each barrier she busts through drops one of her own, though, and she’s not prepared for the truth: another woman laid claim to Grayson’s heart long ago.

Falling in love is something neither Grayson nor Sam can afford, and when that line is crossed and secrets are exposed, they’ll learn that sometimes it’s the answered prayers that will put you through hell.

Excerpt

“Samantha?” His eyes softened, revealing the give in him, and it cracked my own defenses.

“Have you ever made a mistake, Grayson? And I don’t mean the kind that costs you an apology. I mean one that destroys you? Where you lie awake at night, unable to sleep, because you’re terrified of what’s going to happen the next day, and the one after that? Where you’d give anything, and I do mean anything to go back and make a different a choice? Where you’re sick all the time at the thought of what you’ve done? Because I have. I’ve crumbled my entire future, shredded any hope of finishing college, and killed off who I used to be. And I don’t…I don’t know how to come back from something like that.”
“You don’t.”

I jerked back, but he held me immobile against him.

“Stop, and listen to me. I’m not going to belittle you by saying nothing is that bad, because some things are. Things happen that change who we are, and what we’re capable of. So you’re not going to ‘come back’ from that any more than you’re going to erase whatever you did. You have to decide if you’re going to try to keep patching yourself up or if you’re going to tear down and rebuild.”

“I don’t know how to do that.”

“You wade through the pain, and the guilt, and the excuses you make to yourself. Stop drowning in alcohol to numb the fear, and suck up the bitter taste of accountability. You move on with who you are now. It’s not easy. If you think you screwed up that badly, then maybe you did, but you also have to leave room for the chance that you didn’t. Have you talked about it?”

I shook my head. There were two of us who knew the whole truth, and that circle was big enough. “I’m not sure I’m ready to let go of everyone’s vision of who I am. It’s so much prettier than the truth.”

“Not even Ember?”

“Definitely not think-through-everything-twice Ember. She wouldn’t understand, and I’m not sure I could handle her reaction.”

He swallowed and broke our stare like it had become too much because we both knew the truth—it had. “That’s the hardest part, letting someone see who you really are—scars and all. I’m…” He cleared his throat. “You need to trust someone enough to tell them the truth. Make peace with it before it eats you alive. I listen really well if you don’t have anyone else.”
I scrambled to throw up a wall between us. It was safer when he was hurling snotty comments at me. That, I knew how to handle. But this Grayson? The one holding me carefully, keeping me warm while the storm raged outside, offering to help carry the crippling weight destroying me? I didn’t know what the hell to do with that one.

“Why would you even offer? Everything you know about me is a mess. I drink too much, wear too-little clothes, dance on bars, and impose on everyone around me because I can’t get my shit together.”

“You can get your shit together, you’ve just chosen not to up until now. You took that first step with Maggie. I’m offering because I’ve made that kind of mistake, Sam, the one you don’t come back from. I look at you, and I see what I went through. It’s too late for me.” He took a deep breath. “But you? You’re going to spring back, so yeah, I’m offering.”

“As friends?” I held my breath, needing to hear it. The push and pull, the attraction, it was all there on my side, but I wasn’t sure about his, and I wasn’t about to make an ass out of myself. We were roommates, and this could get complicated really quickly.

Our eyes locked, and heat skimmed down my limbs, leaving chills in its wake. “We’re both adults—”

“Well, trying to be,” I joked.

His lips quirked up at the corners. Almost a smile. “Right. I’m not going to say that I’m not insanely attracted to you. I don’t lie. Ever. Plus, I’d have to be dead not to realize the way you affect me. But I’m also not in any position to act on it, and let’s be honest—you’re not, either. But I think we can stop picking each other apart and be friends.”
“Friends that are insanely attracted to each other?”

He inhaled sharply, like my attraction to him had been some secret. Yeah right. I’m pretty sure my body threw out “screw me now” signals the minute he walked into a room, even when I was angry with him. Hell, perversely, especially when I was angry with him.

The siren wailed again, and I jumped, despite the exhaustion pummeling me.

“An hour to go,” I muttered, looking at my iPad.

“Relax and try to get some sleep.”

“Like there’s a chance of that.” But he tucked the comforter up to my chin and drew me closer, so my head rested on his chest.

“Just try. Some of us have to get up for work in the morning.” His tone was light and teasing, so I didn’t jump his case about giving me shit.

I yawned, feeling my body betray me and start to shut down like he’d flipped some magic Sam-sleep button. “I’m glad we can be friends.” Sleep slurred my words.

“Me, too.”

My Review

“Life is a gift.” I knew that now. I was proof. Buck was proof. We’d both been given a second chance. “Every minute I get to spend with you is a gift. I’m not going to waste it.”

Impossible Choice picks up right where Impossible Promise left off. Layna is finally free from her past and is finally ready to live her life with Buck. However, Buck is a military man and it’s time for him to go back off to war. Neither one of them were expecting Buck to return home early. So, when Buck returns home wounded, it completely destroys Layna. The reality really hitting home. The fear taking over and making her see that Buck can get hurt or worse die. Buck is not the same when he comes back home. He is distant and angry. Layna is desperately trying to hold things together when another tragedy strikes. Once again bringing the two of them together. Buck and Layna have been through so much. How much more can one person take? Layna will find herself asking that exact question. She thought her past was dead and buried. Only to find that one villain just won’t go away. Will Layna and Buck ever be free? Will the two of them get the happily ever after that they deserve?

Impossible Choice was a fantastic read. It picks up right where the last book left off and kept me begging for more. I did not want to put this book down. I devoured it one sitting. Impossible Choice is well-written and captivating. I easily got lost in the characters and their story. I loved the sort of, but not really love triangle. You have to read it for yourself to really understand what I mean. I loved the push and pull between these characters. Their emotions so real, so palpable. In the end, you knew who Layna was really in love with. There never was any real question.

I absolutely loved Buck. He was 100% alpha male. He knew what he wanted and wasn’t afraid to go after it. He was fiercely and I mean fiercely protective of Layna. I found it to be very entertaining. Layna did frustrate me at times. I wanted her to just trust in Buck and their relationship. That being said, I understood her actions and how real her fears were. And Talon. Boy do I just want him to be happy. He is the most amazing friend. He is funny and caring. And a great protector. He also has some ghosts that haunt him, but I’m really hopeful that he will get a chance to tell his story.

Impossible Choice will take you on a fantastic, emotional ride. Buck and Layna’s story will tug and really pull at your heart. Their story is filled with angst, romance, and action. There is never a dull moment.  I loved the twists and turns along the way; they really kept me guessing. I loved the anticipation and couldn’t wait to see how everything would play out in the end. My only complaint is that the story is over!!  Sybil Bartel is a new author to me, and let me just tell you: I am blown away by this series! I can not wait to read more. This is an author to definitely watch out for.

Review: Power Play by Tiffany Snow

Posted on

powerplayTHIS KIND OF BUSINESS CAN ONLY BE PERSONAL

Sage Reese lives for her job. More precisely, she lives for her debonair boss, Parker Andersen. Sage handles everything for Parker, even as she fantasizes about the one thing that isn’t in her job description: him. But when a high-stakes account crosses the line from shady to deadly, a tough cop starts giving Sage the attention she wishes Parker would . . .

Detective Dean Ryker couldn’t be more different from Parker. While Parker wears expensive suits like a second skin and drives a BMW, Ryker’s uniform is leather jackets and jeans . . . and his ride of choice is a Harley. While Parker’s sexiness is a reserved, slow burn, Ryker is completely upfront about what-and who-he’s after. And Sage tops his list.

Now, as Ryker digs deeper into the dark side of Parker’s business, Sage finds herself caught between two men: the one she’s always wanted-and the one who makes her feel wanted like never before . . .

My Review

Wow! What a fantastic read!! Usually I’m not a big fan of love triangles, but after reading the synopsis, I knew I had to give this one a try. And I am so glad that I did.

Power Play follows the story of Sage, Parker and Ryker. Sage lives and breathes work. She is completely devoted to her job as an Administrative Assistant for Parker Anderson.  She’s always had a harmless crush on Parker, but has never acted on it. I mean, he’s her boss after all….Enter Detective Ryker. Ryker is the complete opposite of Parker. Parker wears expensive suits and is committed to his job. Where as Ryker is more down to earth riding around on a motorcycle and a uniform of t-shirt and jeans. Parker is less obvious about his feelings, where as Ryker is not afraid to go after what he wants. And what Ryker wants is Sage. When Parker gets involved with a shady business deal, Sage will find herself caught in a deadly situation. Questions will be asked. You will be left wondering who is telling the truth? Which side is the right side? Who can Sage trust? As if that wasn’t enough, Sage finds herself caught between two men and will have choose between them, that is if she lives long enough to make that choice…..

I really enjoyed Power Play. I was hooked from the very first page. The story-line was interesting and well written. I couldn’t stop myself from devouring this book. I was hooked on the characters instantly. I loved the banter and connection between Parker, Sage and Ryker. I loved the back and forth, the push and pull, the will they won’t they. This is a book where I think the love triangle worked really well. I liked both of the men. I thought that they both could be good matches for Sage. I will say that even though I had hard time choosing which guy Sage should end up with, I do have a favorite in mind. I’m definitely looking forward to seeing how that will all play out.

I loved the danger and suspense aspect of Power Play. There was never a dull a moment. I loved trying to solve the mystery and figure out Parker’s real connection to the situation. I was on the edge of my seat and constantly asking questions. I admit that I was a little frustrated with Sage at times. I felt like some of the situations that she found herself in, could have been avoided, if she would just listen. But, at the same time, it added great entertainment to the story.

Overall, I thought Power Play was a fantastic read. It was captivating from start to finish. The story was perfectly balanced. I loved the angst, romance, action, suspense, and danger. There is a bit of resolution at the end, but it will definitely leave you begging for more. I can not wait to see what will happen next for Sage, Ryker and Parker. This is my first book by Tiffany Snow and this definitely will not be my last.

Review: Take The Fall by Marquita Valentine

Posted on

takethefallFans of Abbi Glines and Katy Evans will adore Take the Fall, the first spinoff novel from Marquita Valentine’s New York Times bestselling Boys of the South series. In this emotional new romance, passions run hot as a rugged, brooding Marine rekindles an old flame.

As a teenager, Seth O’Connor went to jail for a crime he had nothing to do with. He took the fall to protect the girl he loved, but the cruel realities of prison hardened him. After doing his time, Seth shuts her out and enlists in the Marines—until his grandmother’s funeral forces him to come home and face Rowan Simmons once again. The woman she’s become puts all his high-school memories to shame, and Seth wants her more than ever. Can he be honest about why he denied her for so long?

After Seth pushed her away, Rowan swore that no man would ever hurt her again. But the boy who broke her heart has become a sexy Marine, capable of fulfilling her every desire—and now that he’s back in town, old feelings are simmering to a boil. Rowan wants to stay strong, even as her body surrenders to his expert touch. She only hopes that by taking him back, she can finally help heal the wounds that drove them apart.

My Review

“You’re my compass, Rowan. I’ll always follow you back home.”

Take The Fall is a fantastic second chance romance. It follows the story of Rowan and Seth. Rowan and Seth had a love like no other. They couldn’t get enough of each other until one day, their worlds got turned upside down. Everything changed when Seth goes to jail for a crime he didn’t commit. He did it to protect the woman he loved, but had no idea how much it would change him. Pushing Rowan away seemed like the smartest decision at the time. When Seth gets out, he finds himself enlisted in the Marines. Not a single day went by that Seth didn’t think about Rowan. However, Seth had a lot of issues to work out. It isn’t until Seth’s grandma passes away, that he returns home….Rowan has worked hard to create something good out of her life. After Seth left her heartbroken, she vowed that she would never let someone hurt her again. All was going to plan, until Seth returns home. Feelings that were once forgotten, have suddenly come to surface. Will Rowan be able to fight the pull she feels towards Seth? Has too much time passed for these two to get their second chance? Will Rowan ever be able to forgive Seth?

Take The Fall  pulled me in from the very first page. I couldn’t wait to read more. My heart ached for Seth and Rowan as they tried to navigate through their lives. Seth had so much anger and resentment towards Rowan. I couldn’t wait for the moment for Seth to realize that his feelings were misguided. And when he did come to his senses, it was game on. Seth would stop at nothing to win Rowan back. I just adored Rowan. She was so easy to relate to and such a strong and stubborn woman. She worked hard at making a life for herself after Seth broke her heart. And when Seth comes back into town and tries to win her back, she sure didn’t make it easy for him. I loved watching Seth and Rowan together. They had so many issues and insecurities to overcome. Their chemistry just oozed off the pages. I loved their push and pull, even if it did frustrate me at times.

Take The Fall is the exciting first book in the Take The Fall series. I think this series is off to a fantastic start. I know I am hooked.  I loved everything about this book: from the characters, to the plot, to the angst and romance. I couldn’t put it down put it down. Take The Fall is my first book by this author and I am really excited to read more from her in the future.

UP IN SMOKE TEASER FOR REVEAL 2

My Review

Wow! Just wow! No one does dirty talking alphas quite like Tessa Bailey. This book takes scorching hot to a whole other level!

Up In Smoke follows the story of Erin and Connor. Dishonorably discharged from the Navy SEALS, Connor finds himself working undercover in Chicago, trying to bust criminals. He will soon find that his control will be tested in ways that he’s unprepared for.

Erin is nothing like she appears to be. She always appears to be running and she hates authority. Not to mention, she also has a fear of being confined and always needs to be in control. The last thing she ever dreamed of was being involved with someone who needs control as much as the air he breathes. Will Erin be able to open up and face her fears? Will Erin ever be able to give Connor what he needs? Will the truth of what haunts Erin tear them apart?

You know, I’m just going to keep this review short and sweet. This is one of those books that speaks for it’s self. It’s fast paced. It’s hot. It’s sexy. And it’s got one dirty talking, possessive, dominate, alpha male. The characters are fun and the story line is entertaining. The characters have instant and electric chemistry. I liked that there was lots of sexy times in this book. That being said, I also really enjoyed the suspense and mystery factor to the story.

If you’re looking for a quick, hot, easy read, than look no forward. Tessa Bailey does not disappoint.

Excerpt

Connor broke away, allowing them both to suck in oxygen. “Stay. I’m sorry. Stay.” He bent his knees to bring them eye to eye. His spoke of torture, but he was trying to hide it. “Look at me. I can handle this. I want you here. Don’t leave.”

“I don’t know if I can handle it,” she whispered.

His heavy breaths ceased. “What do you mean?”

She drew out a lighter from her back pocket and ignited the flame. It cleared her head a little, allowing her to search for the right words. Words that wouldn’t sound crazy. “I like touching you. It makes me feel really…good. And there isn’t a whole lot that makes me feel good, you know?” Her throat closed up. “I wish you could touch me, too. I don’t think I can stay here knowing I’m hurting you by making myself feel good…and I don’t think I can stop touching you. It feels like a must.”

A flare of panic flashed across his face. “I shouldn’t have said what I did earlier. You just caught me off guard.” He massaged his forehead with four fingers. “Did I scare you? Is that why you’re really leaving?”

“No.” She shook her head. “No.”

“Okay. Jesus. Okay.” He was silent a moment, but gears were turning behind his eyes. “You need to touch me and I need you to stay. Let’s give each other what we need. All right?”

Why was this so damn confusing? She’d only met this man yesterday and they were already tangled up in her web of fucked-up issues. He should want to be clear of her, shouldn’t he? No one else had ever bothered with her this long before. “Why? Why do you need me to stay? I—”

“I won’t rest,” he growled. “I’ll think about you somewhere, scared like you were last night, and I’ll go fucking crazy.”

Her heart lurched, dislodging her pride. “I’ve been taking care of myself for a long time. If the only reason you want me here is to play nursemaid to the crazy girl, that’s not going to work for me.”

“You know there’s more to it. You know.” He visibly centered himself with a deep breath, appearing to debate with himself. “I’ve got my own skeletons, Erin. They don’t rattle so much when you’re around. Your touching me…it makes me hot. But it soothes elsewhere.”

She knew her expression was pathetically hopeful, but couldn’t find a single shit to give. “Yeah?”

“Yeah,” he repeated. “I’m not going to lie, Erin. Yes, I want to sleep with you like hell. But only if it’s healthy. Would you trust me enough to go slow? A little at a time?”

Her pulse hammered out of control. “You touching me?”

Connor watched her closely. “When you’re ready. Not before. Never before.”

This is where she should climb down the fire escape and vamoose toward the street. A weight pressed down on her rib cage, making it difficult to draw a breath. It felt like the point of no return. But Connor’s eyes grounded her.

Safe. He’s safe

“Okay, baby. Slow.”

His body drained of tension. “Thank you.” He leaned in and brushed their lips together, gently, reverently. “First, we talk.”     UP IN SMOKE TEASER FOR REVEALAbout the Author:

Thank you for your interest in my books! I’m Tessa and I live in the crazy, loud, overcrowded borough of Brooklyn, New York. I love it here. This city is a constant source of inspiration, which is why I’ve decided to set my most recent books in the Line of Duty Series here.

I moved to New York when I was eighteen, the day after I graduated high school. Threw my suitcase in the back of a Chevrolet Cavalier and drove across the country to find my adventure. I’m still finding it, little by little.Thank you for being a part of it.

My Review

“I look at them both and they stand there. I want to throw something, scream, cry, and loose it for once. I’m always the one holding it together. Trying to make our lives easy. I’m a mother, a friend, daughter, and lastly I get to be a woman. Well, this time…I’m a woman first. I have to give myself a chance to come through this”

After the way things left off at the end of Consolation, I have been waiting in anticipation to get my hands on this book. I needed this book. I remember being shocked and stunned by how Consolation ended. I didn’t want to accept that what I read, what had happened. I had so many questions that I desperately needed answers to.

Conviction picks up right where Consolation left off. To say my heart broke for the reality that Natalie was now facing is an understatement. She had finally moved on with her life and found happiness, only to have the rug ripped out from underneath her…..

Natalie is such a strong character. I can not imagine how hard this was for her to go through. The feelings that she must have had and the decisions that she had to make. Liam…god love him. Such a stand up guy. So desperately in love with Natalie. Wanting to do the right thing, even if the right thing would end up breaking his heart. Ugh…And Aaron…This is tricky. I want to loathe him so much. I want to hate him for destroying his family, for making such a dumb mistake. But, he’s human and now he has to let the cards fall and deal with the aftermath of his mistake….

“The strings that tied us together will be snipped by our own choice.”

I know, I’m being super vague here with this review, but this is one story that you need to read without spoilers. Natalie’s journey is a tough one. It’s emotional. It’s exhausting. It’s real, but it’s beautiful. It shows the true reality of love and how love shifts and changes. Being in love is not always sunshine and roses, there are hard times. Times when things seem so bleak that you don’t know how to move past them. You have to find the strength to see things for how they truly are and do what’s best for you.

I devoured every word while reading Conviction. So lost in the story that is Natalie, Liam, and Aaron. Conviction was the prefect follow up to Consolation. All your questions will be answered. This book will make you angry. You will laugh, cry, swoon and fall in love. Your emotions will go on one heck of a roller-coaster ride as you follow Natalie on this journey. And what a great journey it is….

Excerpt

Time isn’t something I ever thought much about.

It ebbs and flows, but it never changes. I can’t make it stop—no matter how much I want to. There’s no way to rewind the clock or halt it. In this moment, all I want is to make the world stop and go back to when I was happy and ready to tackle the world. Just two short minutes ago, there was no worry about how my day would go. I was going away with the man I love, the one who healed me. But time isn’t my friend. It slaps me in the face and laughs as I stand here wondering how the hell any of this is happening. I don’t want to move forward, and I sure as hell don’t want to slow it down.

Can be read as a standalone

Genre: Contemporary Romance

Release Day: January 29

Marry me.

Two words Kalli Montgomery never expected to say out loud to Xavier Cruz, even though she’s been in love with the sexy, single father for as long as she can remember. Unfortunately, she hasn’t just been friend-zoned for the past ten years. No, even worse, he’s treated her like a little sister, no matter how hard she tried to prove she could be so much more. When she agrees to spend the summer as the caregiver for his daughter, Lily, she knows it’s her last chance to finally make him take notice.

As unexpected circumstances threaten to disrupt his home life, Xavier’s desperate to keep his family together. He’ll do whatever it takes, even if it means marrying a woman he doesn’t love. For Xavier and Lily, Kalli will do just about anything, even at the risk of getting her heart broken in the process.

Little does she know, sometimes love isn’t quite as unrequited as one may think. Xavier sees her-he always has. And the vow he made all those years ago never to go there with his best friend’s little sister is wavering, and it’s wavering fast. When they come up with a plan that leads to wedding bells, it’s a no brainer.

This marriage of convenience has one rule: absolutely no falling in love.

Easier said than done. Throw together a girl who believes rules are meant to be broken, and a man whose whole career revolves around following orders and you get a recipe for disaster. What could possibly go wrong?

My Review

What a fantastic read! Intoxicate starts off with quite the bang. Two words are spoken: Marry Me. From the moment those words are uttered, you know you are in for quite a ride.

Intoxicate follows the story of Kalli and Xavier. Kalli has been in love with Xavier for the past 10 years, but has always been in the dreaded friend zone. No matter how hard she tried to prove that she should be seen as more than just a friend or little sister type, Xavier never noticed…..That is until now. Kalli is presented with an opportunity of a lifetime and is hoping that now Xavier will finally open his eyes and see what’s always been in front of him.

Unbeknownst to Kalli, Xavier has always liked her, but the timing was never right. Now, that Kalli will spending the entire summer taking care of Lily, Xavier’s daughter, things will get even more interesting. Try as he might, he can no longer deny the feelings that he’s been keeping at bay for so long…..Everything seems perfect, until one day Xavier receives some news that turns his entire world upside down. He will do anything to keep his world from falling apart, even if that means accepting an unexpected proposal. There is only one rule to this “marriage”: Don’t Fall In Love! Sounds easy enough, right? What could possibly go wrong??

I loved the idea of this story. It’s fun and exciting: two friends who are sorta dating, end up getting married to protect ones family…what could possibly go wrong?? Boy, was it ever fun finding out. I enjoyed every second of this book. I loved the push and pull between Xavier and Kalli. Xavier frustrated me so many times with his hot and cold tendencies, but I understand why. He’s a good man and has been hurt before. He’s been out of the game for such a long time and wants to do right by his daughter

Kalli….What an amazing woman. She was so patient and understanding. She never once gave up on Xavier, even when it seemed hopeless. She knew just when to give him the push that he needed. The chemistry between the two of them was explosive and I just couldn’t wait for the two of them to give in to what everyone already knew. And the anticipation was totally worth it.

This book had the perfect amount of steam, romance, angst and anticipation. Intoxicate is another great hit for author Tessa Teevan. The characters were enjoyable and easy to relate to. I loved that we got to spend a little more time with Kale and Lucy as well. If you’re looking for a sweet quick read that is light on the drama, but will make you laugh, swoon and frustrate you, look no further. I’m a big fan of this series and look forward to reading more in the future.

Shooting a glare at him, I throw my hands up in exasperation. “Are you telling me that this whole anticipation thing is one-sided? Is it that easy for you to resist? I really need to step up my game.”

Xavier’s eyes fall to my lips for a quick moment before he looks back up at me. I see the desire in his expression, and without him even saying a word, I know he wants this, too. So why is he making me wait?

“You have no idea how much I want to kiss you right now. How many times I’ve thought of doing just that. Every time you were curled up against me on the couch, I wanted to kiss you.  Every morning when you showed up, I wanted to kiss you. Every time you said goodnight to Lily and then slipped out my door? I wanted to kiss you before you left. It’s not a new development. The first time I ever saw you, Kalli, I wanted to kiss you. And I’ve wanted to ever since.”

His admission floors me. He’s told me before that he “saw” me, but I had no clue it was from the very beginning. I’m not really sure how to process it. In fact, he beats me to the punch.

“So now you know. This will be just as hard for me, but it will be so damn worth it. Because when you’ve wanted something for as long as I’ve wanted you? It’ll be the best feeling in the world when I finally get it.”

“Our first kiss will be that epic?”

“A first kiss to rival them all,” he quips, grinning at me. He holds his arms out wide. “Now, we’ll start with a hug and work our way up.”

“I feel like I’m sixteen again,” I tell him as I wrap my arms around his waist.

His hands come down to my back and he gives me a big squeeze, my head pressing against his firm chest. I love this feeling of being in his arms, him holding me close. There’s nowhere on the planet I’d rather be than right here with him. As much as I want him, I know he’s right. I don’t care when it comes. Because when it does, our first kiss will be unforgettable.

His chest rumbles as he chuckles. He squeezes me tight one last time before letting me go. “And it’s only just the beginning,” he tells me. “Have a good night, crazy girl.”
