RELEASE BLITZ: Undeniably Infatuated by J. Saman

Posted on

Undeniably Infatuated by J. Saman is now live!

A scorching hot, forbidden, forced proximity, billionaire bad boy/good girl, grumpy/sunshine romance from USA Today bestselling author J. Saman.

She wasn’t some random vacation fling like everyone thought. She was my brother’s ex-girlfriend. A forbidden addiction I knew better than to touch.

I was escaping my life, stuck at a crossroads, and needing some clarity.

She was on the run, hiding from the press and the world after everything crumbled around her.

It wasn’t planned, but we were inevitable like a runaway train. We couldn’t stop it even if we tried.

For ten days, she was mine.

But now everything is back to normal. I’m a doctor, she’s a Hollywood princess, and lucky for me, our paths rarely cross.

That is until her dark past comes roaring back and she needs my help.

Once again, I don’t know how to stay away. Every fiery word is a form of foreplay. Every stolen touch is a decadent dance with temptation.

I need her. I crave her. I can’t get enough of her.

Only now our secrets are multiplying. The lies we’re telling are getting out of control. And what initially felt right now feels like a complicated mess.

I may be undeniably infatuated with Tinsley Monroe, but she’ll never truly be mine.

UNDENIABLY INFATUATED is a STEAMY, swoony, funny and emotional forbidden, brother’s ex girlfriend, forced proximity romance with no third-act breakup, no cheating, and a guaranteed HEA.

Review: King of Nothing by Aurora Rose Reynolds

Posted on

I met him when my ship was sinking, and I clung to him through the storm. Little did I know he needed me as much as I needed him.

The first time I saw Roman Dante King, he stuck out like an odd puzzle piece that got mixed up in the wrong box. It wasn’t his blue eyes in the dim light of the bar, the tattoos that covered his arms and hands, or even his arrogant personality. It was something else—something I couldn’t see—that told me he didn’t belong in our small beach town on the Oregon coast.

Elora Mazie Barlow reminded me of a hummingbird zipping from one flower to another, never stopping, never allowing anyone more than a glimpse before she was gone. Never letting anyone in… until me. Then she gave me her smiles that were more valuable than anything I ever owned and wrapped me in her peace without asking for anything in return.

Her tragic story sounded achingly familiar to my own.

Our connection is knotted up in loss. The journey we’re on together will eventually come to an end. But will we be able to untangle the mess of strings that have tied us together?

Will we even want to?

MY REVIEW

Aurora Rose Reynolds never ceases to amaze me. The queen of unforgettable insta-love romances delivered a touching and emotional slow-burn romance.

Elora was a loving and devoted daughter whose life was turned upside down when her mother passed away. Determined to live each moment and finish seeing all the places her mom wanted to visit, Elora finds herself on a road trip none of her friends or family could understand. What she never planned on was meeting Roman. Their chance meeting sparked off a series of events and an unexplainable connection. You see, Roman was no stranger to loss and wasn’t ready to face the reality waiting for him back home. Roman and Elora set out on an unforgettable journey of healing and might just fall in love along the way….

King of Nothing is the kind of story that sneaks up on you and consumes you. The characters are so easy to connect and relate to. Roman and Elora are dealing with their own grief and tragedy, and find comfort in having someone who understands what they’re going through. The connection they form is deep, yet unexpected. I loved that their romance had a slow build to it. Roman and Elora were complete opposites and took the time to get to know one another but didn’t try to fight the pull they felt either. Roman was the alpha hero every girl wishes for. He knows what he wants and isn’t afraid to go after it. If there was something he can do to make Elora’s life even a smidgen easier, he’ll stop at nothing to make it happen. Being together was as easy as breathing for Elora and Roman; it was effortless.

King of Nothing is so much more than romance. It’s a beautiful and touching story filled with grief and healing. It’s a story of finding peace and your soulmate when you least expect it. With her signature writing style and ability to make you fall head over heels for her characters, Aurora Rose Reynolds knocked it out of the park with this book If you’re looking for an unforgettable love story with a deep connection and stubborn characters you won’t want to miss this King of Nothing.

Review: As You Turn Away by Molli Moran

Two hearts, one life-changing summer, and a long-awaited second chance…

When Quinnlan Reynolds left home at 18, she escaped her small, Georgia town and her suffocating upbringing. She started a new life as a ballerina, and tasted freedom for the first time. But four years later, her first visit home turns tragic. Reeling, Quinn tries to piece her life back together again. But doing so is easier said than done when sexy Jonah Walker saunters back into her life.

Quinn shattered Jonah’s heart once, so getting involved with her isn’t something he’s sure he’s ready to do again. He became someone he didn’t recognize when he left home. He’s spent the last years burying his pain by keeping everyone in his life at arm’s length. Now he needs to get to know his family again, and finally become who he wants to be.

But neither Quinn or Jonah can stay away from each other, especially when old feelings resurface. Something is pulling them back together, and they can’t deny their chemistry for long. One Georgia summer could change both their lives forever, if they can work through their past to have a future together

My Review

“Happiness isn’t in being strong or alone or angry. Happiness isn’t in the past. Happiness is found as you turn away from the past and toward the future you make”

As You Turn Away was an intense, emotional read for me. This book follows the story of Quinn and Jonah.  Quinn left home at the age of 18 after years of trying ,but failing to be the perfection her mother demanded.  She was suffocating, lost and couldn’t stay home a moment longer. Her decision to leave home was anything but easy. Quinn’s now in New York, living her own life and living her dream. Years have passed, and Quinn finally returns home for a visit. She knows that the visit is not going to go well, but had no idea her visit would play out the way that it did.  Quinn is left trying to cope with the tragedy that has struck her and to put the pieces of her life back together. The last thing she expected, was for Jonah to suddenly reappear……. When Jonah left home with his heartbroken, he cut ties with everyone. He became someone he didn’t even recognize anymore. But, the time has come for him to come home and make things right. It’s time to repair the damage with his family and be the man that he knows he can be……Meanwhile, Fate has plans of her own. Try as they might, Quinn and Jonah can’t seem to stay away from one another.  They still feel that pull, that connection to one another that refuses to be denied. Their lives have been forever changed. But will they be able to put the past behind them? Will Quinn and Jonah finally have a future together??

As You Turn Away took me on one heck of a roller-coaster ride. I felt that it was well written and pulled me in from the very first page.  It was a great story of first love, heartbreak and that second chance at love:

“What we have…is something most folks wait a lifetime for, and only touch for a heartbeat. They let go too quickly, or they’re too scared to hold on, or they never see what’s right in front of them. But we’re going to hold on as tight as we can.”

“Quinn, the Walker boys were raised right-to love, serve, and respect women. To treat us as equals. They’re a rare breed, and once you’ve loved one of them, you’re ruined for anyone else”

This story also handled some tough subject matter with loss and grief. I think the author did an amazing job of dealing with the loss and the struggle to get help. As well as the struggle to admit that things are not okay and the path that you have to take to fix yourself.

This summer had been about finding herself, and learning to accept love in its various forms — and to give love.”

I really enjoyed the characters in this story as well. I felt that they were all very easy to connect with and the Walker boys were very entertaining.  And I hope that they will get their own stories in the future!

Jonah….What can I say about Jonah. I felt so bad for him. Quinn broke his heart. Completely destroyed him. But Quinn wasn’t the only one who said or did something hurtful. Jonah played his part and had to live with the regret of his decisions. He tried to deny that he still had feelings for Quinn, but as they saying goes “true love never dies” and once he realizes that his feelings aren’t going anywhere, he starts focusing on how to repair what was lost.

“He hadn’t believed it was possible when his brother’s told him the past could be the past, but now the seconds between them stretched full of infinite possibilities. Infinite moments full of laughter and hope and love. Infinite days, strung together into a future that was their own. He had to be the man he’d spent so long waiting to be.”

And that was one of things that I admired so much about Jonah, was that he never gave up. Even when things looked terrible and all hope was lost, he refused to give up on his love.

I found this book to be a very enjoyable read.  I was captivated and got lost in Quinn and Jonah’s story. As You Turn Away is going to be one those books that stays with me for a long time. It’s beautiful, heartbreaking and full of hope all at the same time. I can’t wait for the next book and see what happens next!

Book Review – Finding Eden by Mia Sheridan

“This life feels so damn long”

I have so many things I want to say. I have so many FEELINGS about this book that I just want to let out but I want this review to be as spoiler free as possible for those that haven’t read this story yet. Becoming Calder and Finding Eden are the types of books that need to experienced, rather than read about.

Finding Eden is the follow up to Becoming Calder, and the epic conclusion to Calder and Eden’s story. After the life changing events of Becoming Calder, we get to see the rest of their story unfold in it’s entirety and discover how their journey will end.

“I know all the dreadful sorrow inside of you. I live it, too. I know. I know. But I also believe we are going to be okay – we are going to love so hard and with so much intensity, that it’s going to melt away all the pain.”

I was curious about the separation of this story into two parts but after reading Finding Eden I can absolutely see why the author chose to do this. Each story is different in it’s own unique and exceptional way. Separately they are amazing, but together…there are hardly words. This is an intensely emotional story of enduring love and it is the best series I have read this year.

Mia Sheridan’s writing is absolutely flawless and utterly captivating in both Becoming Calder and Finding Eden. At times I felt like my heart was going to burst out of my chest. She has managed to capture the emotions involved in Calder and Edens situation so perfectly that I felt like I was there, alongside the characters, experiencing everything that they were.

Because this was such an emotional story I’m sure there are many curious readers out there who are wondering if this story ends well. All I can say is that while this is an intense read, it was also a beautiful, EPIC love story that has left a mark on my soul. I will not be forgetting this story anytime soon.

“It felt like a miracle. It felt like destiny.”

**I’d like to say a huge THANK YOU to Mia Sheridan for providing me with an ARC of both Becoming Calder and Finding Eden. I ❤ you for life.
