There’s something utterly wonderful about having a Piper Rayne book appear on your Kindle. If you’re like me, you’ve been waiting with bated breath for Mr. Swoony to arrive, and let me tell you it does not disappoint!
Mr. Swoony follows the story of Conor and Eloise. Eloise has spent her entire life anticipating others’ needs and always doing what’s expected of her. But, as it gets closer to her wedding day, she can’t help but feel like something is amiss. The last thing she expected was to meet Conor on the night of her bachelorette party. Conor was completely unexpected and the instant connection she felt with him, left her reeling, wondering if she was making the right decision. Fast forward to her wedding day and Eloise still has doubts. As she’s standing at the altar, preparing to make a huge decision, in bursts Conor objecting to her wedding…
Man, oh, man was Mr. Swoony a delicious treat. This book was unexpectedly wonderful and left me with a huge smile on my face. They say when you meet the one, it’s life-changing and for Conor and Eloise truer words have never been spoken. The chemistry and connection between Conor and Eloise was instant and all-consuming. But, I loved how Conor took his time pursuing Eloise; not only because he didn’t want to scare her away, but he also didn’t want to be her rebound. I loved watching the two of them navigate their way through all the feelings and find their way to happily ever after.
Mr. Swoony wasn’t all hearts and flowers. There were definitely a few bumps along the way. This story had just the right amount of drama and the element of suspense definitely kept me on my toes. Conor and Eloise had a lot to learn if they were gonna go the distance and I couldn’t wait to see how it would all play out!
All in all, Mr. Swoony was an absolute treat to read. The characters and side characters are so much fun and easy to relate to. I adore their friendships and could see myself wanting to hang out with these people if they existed in real life. If the friendships weren’t enough to sell you, the romance is top-notch and not to be missed. I had the best time getting swept up in Conor and Eloise’s story and can not wait to see what The Nest series has in store for us readers next.
