Three weeks. One quirky small-town. The wedding of the year. What could go wrong?
Big-city wedding planner Ginny Austen has landed the job of a lifetime. Her new celebrity clients want a smash hit TV wedding, and they’ve got their hearts set on a quirky home-town wedding. Her home-town: Pelican Key Cove, Florida.
Ginny hasn’t been home since she high-tailed out of town the night before her high-school graduation with nothing but a vintage pink Camaro and a broken heart. She’s spent years building a life of her own, but now she’s got just three weeks to face her past and put together a dream wedding — in a town that makes ‘eccentric’ its middle name.
Ginny may be determined to stay professional, but the inhabitants of Pelican Cove have other ideas. And between her crazy aunts, a TV producer who puts Macciaveli to shame, and a downright sexy former flame, nothing about this wedding is going to plan. Can she pull off the big day with her sanity – and heart – intact? Or will her reputation go down in flames — on national TV?
My Review
“I can’t believe it. I thought this had been my second chance, that we’d mended the broken bridges of our past. I opened myself up again, I dared to dream I could have this love back in my life–build something real with him this time around. But Luke is looking at me like a stranger, as I’m someone he’s found in his bed the morning after a one-night stand who doesn’t understand the rules.”
What an absolutely amazing debut novel. Beach Wedding is a sweet and heartwarming read. It is a fantastic second chance romance that will leave you with a smile on your face and your heart swooning. The characters are real and easy to relate to. From the moment I opened this book, I couldn’t put it down. I just had to know more.
Luke and Ginny really took my heart on a roller-coaster ride. The two of them hurt so badly by past mistakes. And when they finally take that leap, they are once again struck with fears and worry that the past will again repeat itself. The two of them together had such great push and pull. I could really feel and understand their emotions. I found myself wanting to yell at my kindle at times; frustrated with how things were going. And in the next breathe, I would be smiling and just happy with Like and Ginny.
Beach Wedding was such an enjoyable read. I think Bella Cruise really knocked it out of the park with this one. The writing was flawless and entertaining. It reads as though Bella Cruise has been writing for years. I was really blown away.
Bella Cruise’s writing style is very similar to one of my favorite author’s, Melody Grace. The writing is captivating. The story flows well and is perfectly paced. Beach Wedding had just the right amount of angst, romance and drama. It was entertaining and have a few good twists thrown in along the way.
My only complaint, and it’s such a minor one was that I just wanted more at the ending. Please don’t get me wrong, I loved the way the story ended. It was perfect. I just wanted a little bit more. I wanted that little glimpse into the future.
Overall, I really enjoyed Beach Wedding. It’s definitely one of my top debut novel reads for this year. Bella Cruise is definitely an author to watch out for and I can not wait to read more from her in the future.
