Donnie’s story…..I could not have been more excited to find out that Donnie was getting his own story. He has been one of my favorite characters since I started reading this series. There was always just something about him that made we want to know more. And the story that I got, was better than I could have imagined!
Rock Bottom follows the story of Donnie and Nora. Donnie has it all: Money, Fame, Women…or so it seems. Deep down Donnie is lost. He sees his band-mates and friends moving on with their lives and starting families of their own. They are so consumed with their own lives that they don’t even see that Donnie is slipping, loosing himself to drugs and alcohol. No one seems to care, until he meets Nora….
A chance encounter or maybe it’s fate, brings Nora and Donnie together. Their connection is instant and undeniable. They can’t fight the pull they have to one another. But sometimes that pull can hurt more than it can help. Nora finds herself on a mission to save Donnie before he truly hits Rock Bottom. Will she be able to save him in time? Will Donnie get the happily ever after that he deserves??
Rock Bottom took me on one heck of a roller-coaster ride. My heart went out to Donnie as I watched him slip away. I just wanted to give him a hug and make it all better. I couldn’t have been happier when Nora entered his life. Nora was one tough chick. She didn’t want to live in the shadow of her father’s life or use his fame/money. She just wanted to make it on her own. The compassion and love that she showed for Donnie, even before she knew him, was amazing. She never gave up on him, even when things were at their worst…

This story broke my heart at times, but I had faith that K. Webster wouldn’t keep me feeling that way for long. She gave a different, more serious side to Donnie. One that people rarely saw. A side so lost and full of pain and made me love this character more than I thought possible. We finally get to see Donnie for who he really is and watch him fight for life, love and his happily ever after.
K. Webster gave me everything that I wanted in Donnie’s story and more. This was one of those books for me that I tried very hard to read slowly, all because I didn’t want it to end. But, let me tell you, by the time I got to the epilogue, I had the biggest smile on my face!! Why? You’ll have to read it yourself and see………..
