Excerpt 

My name is Axel Reid and I’m a trained assassin. I know what you’re thinking, I’m a murderer, 

and I deserve to be put behind bars. The honest truth is that you’re probably right because well, 

I am a murder, but before you presume to judge me, know the reason I do what I do. I was 

sixteen when Hendricks found me. I owe this man my life, if it wasn’t for him, I would have 

probably ended up in a foster home. but I didn’t. I had a pretty stable teenage life after my family 

died. Heartbreaking and dark, yes, but stable. I watched my mother and little sister got brutally 

raped and murdered and my father was beaten to death. I watched as they cut my little sisters 

eyes out.  I watched as they cut off parts of  my father’s body off, laughing while doing it. Its 

burned into me, a memory I’ll never forget To  this day, I can’t remember how I escaped or even 

how I’m still alive, but since that day, I vowed to get justice for those who were wronged in the 

worst way. I take out the murderers, the rapist, the child molesters, the abusers; I do the job no 

one else can. I will never spill a drop of innocent blood, now yes, I’m a murderer, but I get the 

justice the police can’t. I might be a horrible excuse of a man, but at least I was made to be this 

way. What’s everyone’s else’s excuse to being what they are? 

Author bio 

I was born and raised in the small town of Newfield, New York. I started writing when I was just shy of 

the age of ten years old. Its been a part of me ever since. It started out as a coping mechanism, but It 

came to be so much more. Its everything and without it, I honestly don’t know who I am. I love starting 

from an idea and turning into a full length novel, it brings me so much joy and happiness.  I wrote my 

first ever book when I was sixteen years old, and to this day I’ve yet to share it with a single person. 

Writing brings a joy to me that nothing else ever can, I’m so proud to have been given the art of create a 

world from scratch.
