New York Times bestselling author Joanna Wylde returns to the “wild and raw”* world of the Reapers MC with the story of Gage and Tinker…

The club comes first.

I’ve lived by those words my whole life—assumed I’d die by them, too, and I never had a problem with that. My Reaper brothers took my back and I took theirs and it was enough. Then I met her. Tinker Garrett. She’s beautiful, she’s loyal, and she works so damned hard it scares me sometimes . . . She deserves a good man—one better than me. I can’t take her yet because the club still needs me. There’s another woman, another job, another fight just ahead.

Now she’ll learn I’ve been lying to her all along. None of it’s real. Not my name, not my job, not even the clothes I wear. She thinks I’m nice. She pretends we’re just friends, that I’ve still got a soul . . . Mine’s been dead for years. Now I’m on fire for this woman, and a man can only burn for so long before he destroys everything around him.

I’m coming for you, Tinker.

Soon.

My Review

“There’s a lot of ground to cover, so I’m gonna give you the short version of it now.”…”I haven’t been free since I got here. Now I am, which means I’m taking what’s mine.”

Reaper’s Fire is the sixth book in the Reapers MC series and follows the story of Tinker and Cooper. From the moment we meet Tinker, I am pulled in by her story. Her story kicks off with a heartbreaking start that will have you hoping she finds a HEA. Flash forward many months down the road, and you find Tinker trying to make the best out of the life that she has. She’s going through a difficult divorce with an ex that can’t understand what it’s over means. And to top it off, she’s having to take care of her father. The last thing on her mind was finding another man…that is until Cooper walks in. For Cooper, finding Tinker was the best thing that could have happened. You see, he was in town on club business, so working for Tinker provided the cover that he so desperately needed. What he didn’t plan on was falling for Tinker. In Cooper’s eyes, nothing means more to him than loyalty and his club. But, Tinker will have him wanting things that he never has before. Only time will tell if Tinker and Cooper will get the HEA they both want and deserve….

I am a huge fan of this series, so I can’t help but get sucked in right away. Before I know it, I’ve found myself devouring the entire book. I really liked Tinker from the very first moment I met her. She had been hurt in the past, but wasn’t afraid to stand up for herself. She was tough and loyal to those who deserved it. She accepted who she was and didn’t bother trying to change it. Cooper….I was a little conflicted about him. He spent a good 50% of the story involved with another woman, while trying to fight his attraction to Tinker. Yes, I know that his “relationship”-if you can even call it that, was a front, but I still wasn’t a fan of that. That being said, when all the stars aligned and Cooper and Tinker got their chance, I couldn’t stop myself from jumping up for joy and shouting “FINALLY!!!”. Cooper and Tinker had amazing chemistry from the very beginning. The pull between the two of them was undeniable. I mean anyone with eyes could see it.

Reaper’s Fire is a great addition to the Reaper’s MC series. It’s well written and told from dual points of view. The story if fun and entertaining.  You’ve got a sexy alpha male biker, who’s just waiting to make his move, and a strong female lead charcter that runs away with your heart from page one. With secrets, lies and terrible ex’s, there is plenty of drama to go around. There certainly was never a dull moment. Overall, it was a really enjoyable read.

“I can’t believe how late it is,” Tinker said, yawning, and I realized the movie had ended. Now she stretched upward, the blanket falling to her waist as her boobs pushed forward.

God, how much should a man be expected to take?

I should’ve stayed away from her completely—that’d been the plan—but something had snapped when I’d seen her out in the courtyard. Couldn’t remember the last time I’d met a woman like Tinker. She was smart and sexy and funny, and she worked damned hard to take care of her family and business. Sure, I wanted to fuck her—you’d have to be gay not to—but I respected her, too.

“I should probably get going,” she said, offering me a smile so sweet I wanted to bite her lips. “I like to check on Dad before going to sleep, and I’ve got to be up early in the morning. I’ve got to package orders for the courier tomorrow—if they aren’t ready by two p.m., I’m screwed.”

I considered rolling over on top of her. Pushing her down into the couch cushions, shoving my leg between hers, and showing her what a real man feels like.

“Cooper?” she asked, looking confused. I blinked a couple times, forcing myself to focus on her face.

“I’m going to watch another one,” I told her, because I’m a goddamn masochist. “You sure you’re ready to head out?”

She frowned, and I could almost read her thoughts. Yes, she should leave. But she wanted me as much as I wanted her. And yeah, I realize that makes me sound like an egotistical ass, but this wasn’t my first rodeo. I saw the lust in her eyes, and the way she licked her lips and stared at my mouth. This wasn’t a one-way street, not even close.

“I guess I could stay a little longer,” she whispered. Christ, she was so sweet and soft. I wanted to bite her even more now. Suck that pouty lower lip into my mouth and shove a finger up her ass.

Break her.

You’re one sick fuck.

Why yes. Yes, I am. Thanks for noticing.

I managed to control the urge, catching her hand instead, giving it a friendly squeeze like some kind of pathetic tool. Her fingers tightened on mine, then she pulled away and snuggled back down under the blanket, raising her feet to rest on the coffee table. I grabbed the remote and clicked through the menu.

Tomorrow I’d do my job. I’d fuck Talia and spy on Marsh and look for any kind of weakness that might end this situation, the faster the better. Tonight, though . . . Tonight I’d pretend this wasn’t a waste of time.

Goddamn, but my dick hurt.

The next hour was torture.

Tinker sat next to me, all cute and classy and absolutely refusing to make any kind of eye contact. I don’t know how she felt, but to me the sexual tension hanging in the air was thick and heavy. I kept thinking about her hand in mine—small, but strong. The hand of someone who knew how to work hard. So far as I knew, Talia had never held down a job, let alone supported herself.

The couch shifted, and I glanced over to find Tinker sliding deeper into the cushions, drawing the blanket up to her chin. Our legs were maybe six inches apart. She shifted again, and then her hand bumped mine under the blanket. She jerked it back quickly, and I caught the hint of a flush on her cheeks. That was another thing I liked about her—her skin was so pale that I could see every hint of arousal.

Grabbing her hand, I pulled it over to rest on my thigh. This was a really bad idea, so I pointedly refused to think it through. Her hand tensed at first, then relaxed into my strength. My cock swelled against the fabric of my jeans, just inches from her fingers—it’d be so easy to push her hand toward it, wrap it around my painfully swollen dick, and just go to town.

Tinker’s fingers gave a quick squeeze—almost more of a spasm—and I bit back a groan.

Yeah, okay. Really, really bad idea. I should get off the couch and shut this shit down right now, because I couldn’t afford to blow things with Talia just yet. Instead I found myself leaning toward Tinker, bumping shoulders.

God.

I’d grown a pussy. No other explanation, because I couldn’t figure out why the hell else an adult man would sit holding hands under a damned blanket like a kid.

Excerpt

Tinker

It was almost seven that evening when I felt the AC kick back on. I’d been lying on my back on the (relatively) cool tile floor behind the counter, staring up at the pressed-tin ceiling and trying to remember why I hadn’t already moved back to Seattle.

In Seattle it rained.

Cool breezes blew off the bay and the lush greenery covered everything with its shaded canopy. People didn’t really need air-conditioning, but if they happened to have it and it broke, there were lots of repair men available.

Of course, Seattle also had Brandon. Not only that, my dad didn’t want to move, and I’d come to realize I couldn’t leave him here alone. It wasn’t safe for him, not since Mom died.

Ugh.

At least the AC was working again, blowing down from the ceiling vent across my sweaty body, reminding me that while the world might not be crawling with perfect men, at least there were still a few useful ones running around. Cooper Romero was a keeper, and it had nothing to do with how sexy he was . . . although the fact that he was sex on a stick—make that sex with a stick—didn’t exactly diminish his appeal.

When I’d dragged him up to the black tar roof to show him the ancient AC, I’d expected him to make a run for it. Any sensible man would. Instead, he’d spent the whole afternoon busting his ass to save my chocolates—Oh God, I wish that were code for something more exciting—officially qualifying him as a superhero in my book.

As for me, there wasn’t much I could do once I got all the sweets safely downstairs into the basement. There weren’t any customers walking in off the street, and seeing as I couldn’t make or ship candy in a 102-degree shop, I’d alternated between attempting to read a book, looking over orders I couldn’t fulfill on my laptop, and bringing Cooper glasses of iced tea. I’d been nervous around him at first, but you can only stay nervous for so long when you’re sweating like a pig—there’s a certain freedom in knowing you look like hell and there’s no saving your hair. I’d thrown my arm across my eyes in a pathetic attempt to block out reality toward the end.

When cold air started flowing into the room, I could’ve cried with relief. He’d never had a chance to fill out the application form, and I’d long since decided it didn’t matter. Unless he was an ax murderer, I’d give him the apartment and the job.

Might give it to him even if he was, to be honest.

“It’s working again,” Cooper announced, and I jerked, startled. Shit, had I fallen asleep? Opening my eyes, I looked up to find him standing over me. Dear God in heaven—that was one hell of a bare chest.

Holy. Shit.

I’d taken note of his build when he first walked in the shop, but everything under his shirt had been theoretical. Now there was six-foot-plus of raw sex appeal right there, all sweaty and sculpted and . . . well, let’s just say I’d be stopping off on the way home to pick up some fresh batteries.

That’s when the situation hit me—Cooper Romero was the hottest man I’d met in forever, and he’d just found me lying on the floor in my own sweat and filth like a dog. Typical luck. I scrambled to my feet, pretending I wasn’t totally embarrassed (I was) and not in the least bit freaked out by how unspeakably attractive this guy was. Okay, “attractive” wasn’t quite the right word, because it implied a certain level of polish and class that just didn’t fit Cooper at all.

Brandon was attractive.

Cooper?

I’d lick him all over and massage his butt if he asked. He stared down at me, his eyes carefully blank, making it very clear he wasn’t asking. Story of my fucking life. Sitting up, I pushed myself to my feet without bothering to dust off. Lost cause at this point.

“Not sure how much life the AC has left,” he said slowly. “I managed to get it going, but fixing it right would cost more than it’s worth and then some.”

Of course it would.

“I just need to get through the summer,” I told him, wiping a finger under my eye. My perfectly applied, vintage-style makeup had melted, leaving me with a clown face. Fortunately I’d (mostly) given up on caring three hours ago, right around the time I’d discovered the floor tiles were cooler than the rest of the room. “After that, I’ll worry about the furnace and by next summer I might not even be here anymore.”

“Really?” he asked, cocking a brow. “You selling out?”

“Not sure,” I told him. “I’m not thinking that far ahead right now. Things are very iffy with my dad . . . I think he’s got some—”

No. I couldn’t say it. Saying it out loud made it too real, plus the last thing I needed were a bunch of rumors flying around town. So far we’d kept dad’s situation mostly to family and friends.

“Tinker?”

Shaking myself, I smiled at him. “Thank you so much for fixing that. I’m not even sure what I would’ve done—I can’t afford to miss a week’s worth of orders. Not only would it put me behind, it would burn my customers.”

He nodded, studying me thoughtfully. God, he really was beautiful . . . Nothing like Brandon’s polished sophistication. No, Cooper gave off more of a warrior-tossing-you-over-his-fearless-steed kind of vibe. Yeah, like that would end well, because my track record with men was so fucking perfect, right?

Pull your head out of the gutter. He probably has a girlfriend.

At least I could finally lock up this hellhole of a shop and get a shower.

“Thank you so much—you have no idea how much I appreciate it.”

“No, but the whole throwing yourself at my feet thing was a subtle hint,” he said, and I realized he was teasing me. Was he flirting? I couldn’t decide if that kicked ass or scared the shit out of me.

“Anyway, it’s getting late,” I told him, feeling suddenly awkward. “I’m going to grab some dinner down the street, and then I could take you over and show you the apartment.”

A small, knowing smile crossed his face, and I realized he thought I was hitting on him.

“No,” I said quickly, mortified. “I wasn’t asking you out. Omigod, this is weird.”

“What, you aren’t turned on by a man who smells like old socks?” he asked lightly, raising his arm and giving a sniff. He was joking, but the sweat wasn’t a turnoff. Nope. Not even a little bit. “If that’s not enough for you, the roof tar on my ass should be a big attraction.”

Closing my eyes, I bit back a groan. He started laughing. Not in a cruel way, but companionably, which I guess made sense because both of us were disgusting as hell. Of course, now I wanted to check out his ass, but I managed to keep my eyes on target (mostly) when I answered him.

“Well, it’s sexy but I’ll manage to control myself somehow. I do want to grab dinner, though, and we need to figure out the apartment details.”

“I’ll take the place, doesn’t matter what it is,” he replied. “I’m in a hotel and it’s getting old. I’d love to move in on Sunday, but I can’t go look at it right now—gotta get my ass cleaned up. Meeting up with someone later.”

Of course he was, because men who looked like Cooper didn’t spend Friday nights alone.

“Sounds great,” I told him, refusing to show any disappointment. “Just text me when you’re ready, and I’ll get you the key.”

He opened his mouth to say something, but a sudden pounding against the locked shop door caught us both off guard. I spun around to find Talia Jackson glaring at me through the glass. Talia and three of her skankier friends, including Sadie Baxter, a girl I used to babysit when I was in college.

A girl who was now twenty.

Damn.

“Cooper!” Talia shouted. “What the fuck are you doing?”

I glanced at my new handyman, startled. Talia Jackson and her brother, Marsh, were two of the nastiest people I’d ever met. Marsh was president of the local motorcycle gang, a group called the Nighthawk Raiders motorcycle club. The club had been around most of my life, but it was only in recent years that they’d turned really bad. I mean, they were never the kinder, gentler sort of bikers, but I’d never been actively afraid when I’d heard a motorcycle, either.

Now? Let’s just say we’d all gotten a little edgy.

“That’s my girl,” Cooper said, and something deep down inside of me died a little. Of course he’d go for someone like Talia. She might have the heart of a deranged circus clown—you know, the kind that survives by eating the souls of innocent children—but she was hot.

Really hot.

Not only that, she was slutty, and while I wasn’t into the whole slut-shaming thing (like I had room to judge after the bachelorette party debacle . . . ugh), I wasn’t naive enough to think he was attracted to her personality. Cooper Romero might have a sweet smile, and he’d fixed my AC, but now I had proof positive that he’d never be into a girl like me.

Specifically, a grown-up with curves.

All righty, then. Probably for the best anyway.

“Just a sec!” I called to her, determined to take the high road, then I grabbed my keys so I could open the door. She pushed inside with her posse, and I do mean pushed. Little bitch shoved me so hard I nearly knocked over the display of antique Russian teacups my mother had lovingly collected. (So far as I knew, she’d never sold a single one of them, but it’d made her happy.)

“Careful,” I warned, and Talia turned on me.

“What did you just say to me?”

“Babe, let’s talk,” Cooper said, catching her arm and pulling her into his body. She squealed, going from aggressive to flirty in an instant.

“You’re all sweaty. It’s sooo disgusting.”

I noted she wasn’t trying to get away. Cooper smiled down at her, a hint of something feral in his eyes. Yeah, okay—whatever smile he’d been giving me, it hadn’t held any of that kind of intensity.

Yours truly was officially chopped liver.

“I was just about to head out and grab a shower,” he told her. “Wanna come with me?”

She pouted. “I can’t. The girls and I need to get fixed up. I’ll see you at the bar, though, right?”

He looked down at her, offering a sexy, indulgent smile. “Can’t wait.”

“Perfect,” she said, reaching around to grab his ass for a quick squeeze. Then she turned and strutted back out without a word to me, her gaggle of girls following like well-trained geese. Sadie gave a little finger wave on the way. The door closed behind them with a cheerful little jingle, and I wondered why the hell I even bothered with Hallies Falls.

I missed Seattle.

So what if it had Brandon? I could drown him in Lake Washington. Problem solved.

“Sorry about that—Talia is a little high-strung,” Cooper said.

“Oh, I know all about her,” I replied, hoping I didn’t sound as catty as I felt. Cooper didn’t seem to notice.

“I’m new to town, but she’s been showing me around,” Cooper continued, stepping over to stand in front of me, hands shoved deep in his front pockets. “I should get going.”

“Of course—don’t let me keep you. What time do you think you’ll be in touch tomorrow?”

“Afternoon work?”

“No problem. Looking forward to hearing from you.”

He nodded and pushed through the door, walking down the street without a second look back. I locked up behind him, wondering why all the hottest guys were douchebags. Not that Cooper had acted like a douche, but he had to be my age or older—late thirties—and Talia was the same age as Sadie. She was also a raging bitch. There was only one reason a man like him would date a girl like that, and it had nothing to do with personality or character.

Cooper Romero might be beautiful, but obviously he was shallow. Suppose it was too much to hope for a man who could fix an air conditioner and have a soul at the same time.

Pity

Horse is part of the Reapers Motorcycle Club, and when he wants something, he takes it. What is he wants is Marie, but she’s not interested in becoming some biker’s property.

Then her brother steals from the club. Now Marie can save him by giving Horse what he wants—at home, in public, on his bike… and if she’s a very, very good girl, he’ll let her brother live.

enough

She wanted nothing to do with me. Well, that’s too f*cking bad.

My MC brothers call me Dare for a reason. I never back down from a challenge. And Lila was the sweetest challenge I ever faced.

From the moment she walked into my tattoo shop, she was going to end up in my bed. Tied up, moaning my name and begging for more.

Her past was a nightmare and I couldn’t guarantee her a future. But I could promise her a good time.

I didn’t know what we would turn into, let alone how hard it’d be to stay away after my selfish ass sent her packing.

Problem is, my girl is hot, so the same men I call brothers tried to claim her.

There’s not enough bourbon in the world to help me forget the love we shared. But to get her back, to prove she’s more to me then a quick lay, I’ll have to tell her the secret I’ve been hiding from everyone.

Before she’s gone forever.

My Review

I enjoy mixing things up with a good biker romance every once in a while, so when I heard about Enough, I couldn’t wait to read more.

Enough is the debut novel by author Jade Chandler. Told from dual points of view, Enough follows the story of Dare and Lila. From the moment I was introduced to Lila, I wanted to know more about her. She always seemed like she was on the run from her past and working at The Marked Man was supposed to be her fresh start. What she didn’t plan on was Dare. The chemistry between Dare and Lila was instantaneous. Both of them tried to ignore it, knowing that they were bad for each other. However, sparks like these two had, could not be ignored. The road to HEA for these two will not be an easy one. They’ve both got baggage and secrets that they’re hiding. Will these two take a chance on what’s brewing between them? Or will they know when it’s enough and stop before they get in too deep?

Overall, I enjoyed Enough. I found the characters to be entertaining and I definitely wanted to know more about them. I love the sense of family, protectiveness and unity that the MC club had. I liked Lila and felt bad that she had such bad luck with men. I really wanted to see her get a HEA. Her relationship with Dare was a bit on the insta-love side; mostly on Lila’s part. But, I loved how Dare didn’t want a relationship, but couldn’t fight the pull he felt with Lila. And I enjoyed seeing his alpha, possessive side come out.

However, I did have a few issues with the story. Pacing was an issue. For the most part, I thought it was on point. That being said, there were a few times, were it just felt off. Pacing is a big thing with me. When the pacing is off, it makes it hard for me to stay connected to the story. However, I did push forward and was glad that I did. Things definitely turned around at about 60% and I couldn’t stop reading!

Another issue for me and this is a tough one, is the writing. For the most part, I felt the writing was strong and it held my attention. However, there were certain parts of the story where it felt rushed and like it should have been fleshed out more. There were a couple of instances where the story felt like I was being told what was happening vs experiencing it happening.

Despite the issues that I had with the story, I am giving it 3 stars, because I think the overall bones of the story are good and the last 40% or so really made up for the most of the issues that I had. Enough is entertaining and has a good mix of angst, drama, romance and lots of sexy good times. I think this series and this author have a lot of great potential and I would definitely be interested in reading something else from this author in the future.

Review: Rake’s Redemption (Wind Dragons MC #4) by Chantal Fernando

rakesredemption

Rake is known for being up for anything, in and out of the bedroom. He’s wild, he’s deadly, yet quick with a joke or a stolen kiss. Known as the player of the WDMC, he loves women, the more the merrier. However, behind his womanizing façade, Rake hides the pain of losing his first love, Bailey. He hasn’t loved anyone since, and doesn’t think he ever will.

Seven years after their split, Rake and Bailey run into each other at the MC’s favorite club. Old wounds resurface, secrets are spilled…and passionate feelings are awakened. But they’ve each done things to hurt the other, hurt them too badly to get over it—haven’t they? Only when Bailey’s connection to Rake puts her in danger from another Club member does he realize that there’s nothing he won’t do to protect her—and claim her as his once again.

My Review

“Our past is messed-up, and our emotions are all over the place, yet there’s still something there, no matter how much we’ve both tried to deny it. Something, connecting us together. We can fight for it, to make it work, to strengthen the connection, or we can let it go and try to find it in someone else.”

“We didn’t have an easy road, but we’re both fighters, and we’re going to fuckin’ get through this. My past isn’t going to touch us, and neither is yours, because we aren’t going to let it. Nothing is going to touch us. Nothing else matters anymore baby. Nothing.”

As you know, I’m always on the look out for the next hot MC Romance and The Wind Dragons MC Series is quickly becoming one of my favorites. So, when I saw Rake’s Redemption was available, I didn’t even hesitate. I couldn’t wait to get my hands on Rake’s story and boy did it deliver.

Rake’s Redemption is just what I was looking for in a biker romance. It was hot. It was sexy. It was full of angst and drama. It had romance and just any old romance, it was a second chance romance. And if you know me, then you know that I am a sucker for a good second chance romance. So, if you combine the two, you’ve got the perfect recipe for an amazing read.

When we first meet up with Rake and Bailey, you can tell instantly that this story is going to consume you and boy does it ever. From the very first page, you are sucked into their story. The chemistry between Rake and Bailey is so intense that it will have you wondering what happened to these two and how can they get it all back. Rake was not at all thrilled to have Bailey back in his life. Things ended badly between the two of them and he was never able to move past them. Only thing is, their history isn’t quite what it seems. Soon enough Rake will learn that reality. He will learn that things aren’t always as they seem and that will leave him fighting like hell to win back the only woman that he ever loved.

I gotta say, I really loved Rake and Bailey. Their story was not an easy one. They had a painful history and a lot of heartache to move past. But, the feelings that they had were the real deal and nothing, not even time or distance could keep these two apart. They were meant to be….That is, if they could get move past their issues. Bailey was a great match for Rake. She was tough and wasn’t afraid to fight with Rake or tell him like it was. Despite all the changes and growing up she had to do, Bailey’s feelings for Rake never changed. And Rake….What to say about him? Well, he’s cocky. He’s a jerk. He’s passionate. He likes to be in control. He doesn’t forgive easily and is fiercely protective of those he loves. He is a 100% biker, alpha male. He can hold a grudge like no other, but when he’s wrong, he will do anything to make it right. The two of these together are as explosive as a stick of dynamite. No matter how much they want to deny it, they can’t stay away from one another. Their connection just oozes off the pages. And all you can do, is just sit back, watch how it all unfolds and just enjoy the ride.

Rake’s Redemption is a fantastic addition to the Wind Dragon’s MC series. The story is well written and will keep you captivated the entire time. The characters are real, easy to connect with and a whole lot of fun. The story-line is entertaining and will make you want to devour this book in just one sitting. I loved everything about this book; from the drama to the frustrating moments, to the angst and the will they/won’t they, to the romance and steamy moments. I just couldn’t get enough of this story.

I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a good MC Second Chance Romance!

Review: Chaos Bound (Sinner’s Tribe Motorcycle Club #4) by Sarah Castille

choasbound

LOVE IS A WILD RIDE.

After enduring months of torture at the hands of the Black Jacks MC, and betrayed by his own club, Holt “T-Rex” Savage, a junior member of the Sinner’s Tribe Motorcycle Club, will stop at nothing to get revenge. But falling for a beautiful woman with dangerous ties to his sworn enemy was never part of the plan…

Raised by the Black Jacks, Naiya Kelly grew up fast, furiously, and with little to lose. But now that she’s put her MC days behind her, she is free to do what she wants—until she meets a man who imprisons her, body and soul. She swore she’d never give her heart to a biker, but Holt is the most passionate, protective man she’s ever known. But will Holt be forced to betray his one true love to exact his revenge?

My Review

“He wanted her, wanted this woman with the broken soul, wanted to fix her, show her the beauty of surrender, open her up and fill her with joy.”

Sarah Castille has done it again. Once again, she has taken us on a wild and crazy ride. She has shown us just how ugly things can get in the MC world be and just how the need for revenge drives you. Chaos Bound gave me everything and I mean everything that I could ask for in a good MC read. The story-line was compelling, leaving me unable to put it down. The characters were gritty and intense; subjected to things that would forever change them.

Naiya is just trying to survive. She is one one tough leading lady. She’s not afraid to go it alone and isn’t afraid to stand up and protect those that she cares about….Holt has one thing and one thing only on his mind, and that’s revenge. He is living and breathing it. That is until Naiya comes into the picture. Naiya turned his world upside down and showed him that there is more to living than just revenge. She gave him something else to care about and believe in. And the chemistry between these two…scorching…hot…undeniable…The two of them together is just explosive!!

Overall, I really enjoyed Chaos Bound. It is a great story of brotherhood, family and getting a second chance in all the things. This story is about freedom and revenge. It’s about danger and regret. It’s about love and fighting for what you want. And I loved every second of it.

Chaos Bound is a great addition to The Sinner’s Tribe Motorcycle Club Series and I’m looking forward to seeing what adventure this author will take us on next!

Review: Relent (Sydney Storm MC #1) by Nina Levine

relent

Evie Bishop grew up loving Kick Hanson. He loved her, too. They were inseparable. Best friends who looked out for each other. Until the day scandal hit their families and ripped everything apart, changing the course of all their lives.

Kick follows a dangerous path that leads him to the Storm MC where he spends his days buried deep in a violent and lawless world that is slowly consuming his soul. Evie works hard to escape the hopelessness that threatens to swallow her after her family is ripped apart. She builds a stable life for herself, however it’s devoid of the one thing she has always longed for – Kick.

The love these two have for each other never wavers but sometimes in life, love isn’t enough. Even in the times they find each other again, they can never make it work. Kick fights against bringing Evie into his world and Evie refuses a life with Kick if he won’t fully commit to her. However, when circumstance throws them together again, Kick knows he must finally make her his. The trouble is, Evie’s done. She loves him but she believes their chance to be together has long passed.

When Kick finally stakes his claim, will Evie relent and give their love another go, or has Kick left it too long to go after the woman who has owned his heart forever?

Relent is the first book in the Sydney Storm MC series. This is a spin off series to the Storm MC series. Readers do not have to read the Storm MC series to read this one.

My Review

“I see you, Evie. I’ve always seen you.”

“I wasn’t known for slow, but for Evie I would do anything. And she was wrong. We’d always be those kids who loved each other. Underneath all the shit that was me today, I still loved her.”

“Make it count. You two deserve happiness.”

What a fantastic start to the Sydney Storm MC series! This book had it all. From danger to romance, to drama and heartbreak. This book had it all.

From the moment I picked up this book, I was sucked into Evie and Kick’s story. Evie and Kick have been in love with one another for as long as they could remember. But, for one reason or another, they just couldn’t make things work. It takes the death of a life long friend to bring these ex’s back together. And when Kick lays eyes on Evie again, all bets are off. Nothing and no one is going to stand in the way of him claiming the woman he loves forever…..

Relent is not just an fantastic MC read, but it’s also a terrific second chance romance. When Evie and Kick are together, the two of them just light up the pages. Their connection has stayed strong throughout the years and is completely undeniable. You can’t help but find yourself rooting for these two characters. Kick totally knocked my socks off. Not only is he this hot biker, but he is also loyal. Dominate. Possessive. He is 100% alpha male. And Evie is exactly the right fit for him. And Evie…I loved how strong her characters was. She didn’t let Kick get away with anything and wasn’t afraid to stand her ground. And when she loved…when she loved, she loved with everything that she was. These two together, just explosive.

I really enjoyed Relent. The story was well written and entertaining. It made me laugh. It frustrated me. It made me swoon and fall in love. And it definitely kept me on my toes. I loved every second of it and can not wait for more!

Review: Ruthless (True Brothers MC #1) by Gillian Archer

ruthless

Every girl needs a guardian angel—even if he wears black leather. In the first novel of her scintillating True Brothers MC series, Gillian Archer introduces readers to a sexy-as-sin biker . . . and the woman wild enough to tame him.

After dinner with the most arrogant man in the world, Jessica Miller is shocked when her blind date tries to maul her in the parking lot. Enter “Zag”: the brooding, bruising alpha male who jumps off his motorcycle and teaches the jerk a lesson he won’t forget. After getting one taste of a bad boy who lives on the edge, Jessica’s hooked. Zag’s willing to give her the ride of her life. But she needs to wrap her arms around his powerful chest and hold on—tight.

Zag knows firsthand that the True Brothers MC isn’t for the faint of heart. He only intends to show beautiful, innocent Jessica a few cheap thrills to satisfy her curiosity. But the more he lets her in, the more Zag comes to depend on her gentle touch to help heal the wounds that he’s been denying for so long. Now, a rival gang has set its sights on Jessica, and Zag must step up once again. He just hopes he can go the distance to protect the woman he loves.

My Review

“What you see is what you get. You don’t get to pick and choose the pieces of me. This is who I am. All I’ll ever be.”

I’m just going to keep this review short and sweet. Ruthless was a quick and easy read for me. It had all the elements of a fun biker read. You had one sexy, alpha male biker and the woman who was the total game changer. I loved Zag and Jessica together. The two of them were just explosive. I loved how Jessica brought out the sweet, protective side in Zag. And I loved how Zag brought Jessica out of her shell and made her take chances and really live her life.

Now, I will say this, Ruthless is definitely on the more sweeter side of biker romances. Usually, I am a fan of the more darker and grittier tales. But, the sweet worked with this story. And there was a lot of hot and sexy moments. Yes, there was some drama, but it wasn’t really over the top. All in all, Ruthless is a good story with a lot of great elements. I think this series is off to a nice start and I’m looking forward to seeing where this series will go next.
