The room is pitch black, which is unusual. I prefer the blinds to be partially open so moonlight can seep through the windows at night, but maybe my housekeeper shut them while she dusted. It’s that time of year again! As you know, there is nothing more that I love than challenging myself when it comes to the books I read. 2022 has been another crazy and stressful year that has thankfully left us with a lot of good reads and hope for 2023. Despite all of the challenges 2022 brought us, it has been one heck of a year for amazing reads. This year, I read over 362 books, discovered lots of “new to me” authors, and trying to narrow that list down was tough. I have just read so many amazing, life-changing, blow-me-away, knock-my-socks-off books. Amazingly enough, this year, I was able to keep my list at 14. These 14 books have given me all the feels. They’ve made me laugh, cry, swoon, and taken me on some of the best journeys.

Hallie and Chris’s connection starts out rather unconventional, but somehow these two start to fall for one another one transmission at a time.
Overall, I thought this book was such a cute and unique read. I loved the way that Hallie and Chris’s story started out. It was refreshing and unconventional. I loved getting to know Chris and Hallie. They were perfectly imperfect, with flaws and real insecurities. Their family lives were far from perfect and they were both no strangers to life’s disappointments. I think both of these characters experienced a lot of growth and I loved following their journey to happily ever after.
If I had one complaint about this book it would be that it had a bit of a slow start to it. It seemed to take a bit to really get the flow going, but once it did, I couldn’t put it down.
In the end, Samantha Young delivered a sweet and fun romantic comedy that kept me entertained and unable to walk away.

Fox could charm the pants off of anyone, but Hannah refused to just be another notch on his bedpost. I really loved watching these two grow from friendship to more. I loved how much faith Hannah had in Fox, the way she built up his confidence, and showed him that even a player deserves more.
Hook, Line, and Sinker is a smartly written and entertaining romantic comedy. I loved being back in Westport and catching up with Piper and Brendan. Hannah and Fox’s story had me hooked from the first page and had me devouring their story in just a few short hours.
In the end, all that’s left to say is that I loved and adored this book. It checked off all of my boxes and was just the romantic comedy I was hoping it would be. Hook, Line, and Sinker is the perfect book to spend your day getting lost in. I hope you will fall head over heels for Hannah and Fox just as I have.
