About Boyfriend Maintenance

Emmy
My bad reputation is coming back to haunt me. Now, I need a date for my brother’s wedding just to
keep the vultures at bay. I’ve noticed Jake around the building and he’s the perfect man for the job.
The thing is, I don’t actually have what I promised in return for his help, but I don’t want this to end.

Jake
I’ve seen Emmy and she’s out of my league, but that doesn’t stop me from taking her up on her offer
and upping the ante. I have rules, however, the more time we spend together the more the lines get
blurred. Her lie made her more like me than I ever thought possible. Too bad liars don’t do it for me.

A little boyfriend maintenance goes a long way…
After all, 425 Madison Avenue is the perfect place to fall in love.

MY REVIEW

Boyfriend Maintenance is the 5th book in the 425 Madison Series, but can be read as a stand-alone novel. Told from dual points of view, Boyfriend Maintenance follows the story of Jake & Emmy. On the outside, Emmy appears to be the girl who has it all. She lives at the ideal address, dresses to impress and has the confidence to back it up. However, the reality couldn’t be more different. While Emmy appears to have it all, she isn’t quite the socialite everyone thinks she is. She walked away from it all and has worked hard for everything she has. Her family never approved of the path she decided to take, so with her brother’s upcoming wedding right around the corner, Emmy realizes she can’t face it alone. What she needs is a fake boyfriend. That’s where Jake comes into play. Even though Jake & Emmy come from two totally different worlds, he is exactly the man for the job. What started off as a lie, will quickly turn Emmy & Jake’s world upside down, leaving them both with more than they bargained for….

Boyfriend Maintenance was such a fun read. I am huge sucker for the fake relationship troupe and Lauren Helms does not disappoint. I loved the idea of this story. These two characters couldn’t be more different if they tried. But things aren’t always what they seem, and both Jake & Emmy will quickly realize that they are more alike than either one of them thought. The chemistry between Jake & Emmy was spot on. I loved watching them interact and find their way through their fake relationship. The lines quickly blurred between the two of them leading to some seriously steamy moments.

The road to happily ever after wasn’t an easy one for Jake & Emmy. Jake had some serious hangups that he needed to work through and move past. And while Emmy wasn’t perfect, she had her reasons for being the way that she was and for keeping certain aspects of her life a secret. Neither one of them saw the other coming and I just loved seeing the way their story played out. They kept me glued to the pages and I couldn’t help but just devour their story.

Overall, I thought this book was a terrific read. It was quick and easy; definitely a story that you can read in just a few short hours. I thought the story-line was a lot of fun and the characters were easy to relate to. Jake & Emmy easily steal your heart from the very beginning. And there are a few side characters that I would love to see get their own story.

If you’re looking for a book with family drama, genuine feelings, great friendships and some sexy good times, then look no further. Boyfriend Maintenance is a terrific read to spend your day getting lost in.

“Oh, well … hello there, hot stuff.” Mrs. Jenkins stands in the open doorway of her apartment.
Her arm slides up the doorframe slightly awkwardly as she leans into the frame. She’s
attempting to look sexy in a Japanese silk kimono robe. It’s a red floral print that hangs
nearly to her ankles. She has surprisingly good posture for a seventy-year-old woman.
Her husky voice is seductive as she gestures for me to come in. I have to mentally prepare
myself every time I have a work order for unit 2007. Which is normally once a week.
Mrs. Jenkins is a retired Broadway actress. She hit her stride when she starred in the hit
musical Chicago in the mid-seventies. Dorthy Jenkins is a dramatic, wealthy retiree who just
happens to hit on me every time I’m here. She may be a tad lonely, so I deal with it.
“Good afternoon, Mrs. Jenkins. My work order says that you’ve got faulty smoke detectors.”
Honestly, that seems a bit suspicious since we worked through the entire building updating
the detectors less than six months ago.
“Dorthy, darling. Please, stop calling me Mrs. Jenkins. You make me feel like a cougar.”
I raise my eyebrow at that. More like a puma since she’s got to be at least forty years older than me.
I set down my toolbox and scan the living room for the unit’s central detector.
“All right, Dorthy. You’re having issues with the smoke detectors? Let’s just take a look.
I’ll get these fixed up in no time.” Really, I just want to get out of here. The longer I’m in this
apartment, the more cheek pinches I get. And I’m not just talking about pinches to my face.
She gets a little bolder with each visit. Not looking forward to the day she takes it too far.
Her flirting seems harmless though. She just really appreciates those “hot young thangs.”
Her words, not mine.
“Well, no rush. I’ll just pour us a little nightcap.” I don’t mention it’s only four in the afternoon.
“Will two fingers do, Jake? I’ve always preferred two.” She waggles her eyebrows.
I divert my eyes. The sexual reference catches me off guard and I feel my face heat.
Clearing my throat, I shake my head. “I’m sorry, Dorthy, but no drinking on the job.” I pull out my
step ladder so I can reach the smoke detector.
“You’re such a good boy, darling. I admire that. I’ll just have a nip and enjoy the show.”
Just like she normally does. Unfortunately, she isn’t the only 425 Madison resident to watch
me while I do my job. I’ve worked in this building for nearly three years now. Growing up, I
never had dreams of becoming a maintenance man, but I’ve always been good with my hands.

Blog Tour with Review: Getting Hot with the Scot by Melonie Johnson

Posted on

“Playful, passionate, and positively unputdownable!”—New York Times bestselling author Christina Lauren

IT’S TIME TO FLIRT WITH A MAN IN A KILT

Cassie Crow, a pop-culture reporter for a TV talk show, is focused on becoming a “serious” journalist. But when she stumbles into a kilted Highlander with a killer accent, Cassie decides that taking one night off from work and spending it with a sexy Scot couldn’t hurt. . .

Logan Reid has built a career on his charm, hosting a series of off-the-wall hijinks on the Web. But when the Scottish prankster meets the all-American, equal parts intelligent and irresistible Cassie, Logan realizes that one night of fun won’t be enough. Could it be that this career-focused, commitment-phobic couple is finally ready to take a chance at true and lasting love?

MY REVIEW

“Life is short, lass.” “When good things happen, try not to question it.”

Getting Hot with the Scot is a fun and entertaining romantic comedy from author Melonie Johnson. When I first laid eyes on the synopsis, I just knew I had to check this book out and I am so glad that I did! Now, I’ll be a 100% honest with you, when I first dove into this book, I wasn’t 100% sure about it. For some reason, I had the hardest time getting into the story. But, I gotta tell you, I am so glad I didn’t give up. I am so glad that I kept going and gave this book the chance that it deserved because I ended up totally loving it. Once you get to know Cassie and Logan, they are impossible to not fall in love with!

Cassie and Logan were such a fun pair. Logan was a riot and prankster. I’ll be straight with you, I didn’t know if his intentions were true in the beginning, but I soon discovered that there was a lot more to Logan than meets the eye. Not only is he sexy as ever, but add in his thick Scottish accent and I was a goner. I mean, I just loved hearing his character talk. I felt like I was right along in Scotland with the characters. Add in that the story-line is actually one of my top troupes, I was a goner. I mean, there is nothing better than a night of passion, that suddenly turns into more. Cassie and Logan had some intense sparks between them and I was so excited for the possibility of more between the two of them.  The road to happily ever after for these two definitely wasn’t an easy one. There were a lot of bumps along the way. But, I really enjoyed seeing Logan and Cassie’s relationship grow and I especially enjoyed seeing Logan come to terms with his past and taking a risk on a love of a lifetime.

Getting Hot with the Scot was a totally fun read. I loved getting lost in Cassie and Logan’s story. I thought the plot was a lot of fun and the characters were a riot. I loved the friendship that Cassie had with her girlfriends and loved the closeness that Logan had with his family. Together, Logan and Cassie were an undeniable match. Their sparks intense and the tension between the two of them left me begging for more. I loved the will they/won’t they moments along the way. I loved the angst between them and seeing them trying to figure things out. They weren’t perfect, but I loved that about them. They had lots of growing to do and I just couldn’t wait to see how their story would unravel in the end.

Overall, I thought this book was a really enjoyable read. It was sweet. It was romantic. It had lots of humorous moments and others that just tugged at my heart. I had a great time getting to know these characters and had fun getting swept up in their story. This is my first book by this author and it certainly won’t be my last. I can’t wait to see what adventure this author has in store for us next.

Would you look at that? The man is wearing a kilt.

Note to self: Cassie Crow—be careful what you wish for.

The man groaned again and raised a hand to shield his eyes from the sunlight now cutting across the hidden al- cove.

“Are you all right?”

“I will be fine once ye douse that blasted light.” He squinted up at her. “Be ye a new chambermaid?”

Chambermaid? She eyed the wide sleeves and open neck of the old-fashioned piratey shirt he wore. “Not sure what kind of weird-ass stuff you’re into buddy, but I don’t do RPG.”

“Weird . . . ass?” His dark red brows drew together as he shaped his mouth around the letters. “Are pee gee?”

“Role playing games. You know, like cosplay or what- ever.” She pointed at him. “Look, you’re the one wearing that get-up and talking like a reject from Macbeth.”

He narrowed his eyes at her finger. “Be ye a witch?” “What did you call me?”

With another groan, he lurched forward. Oh God, what if he was hurt? For all she knew he was a member of some historic castle tour who got lost in a back passageway and hit his head. She leaned down to inspect him for bruises.

He threw a hand out, palm up, warding her off. “Back away, sorceress,” he hissed.

“Seriously?” She slapped his hand out of the way. “Here, let me help you out of there.” Cassie tugged gently on his shoulder. The voluminous shirt was loose, but she could feel—and appreciate—the thick spread of muscle beneath the soft fabric.

Just my luck, I finally run into a hot Highlander, and he’s delusional.

The man waved off her assistance and struggled to his feet, shaking a wild tousle of thick, red hair out of his eyes. Cassie never fancied herself to be a ginger girl, but it worked on him . . . or maybe that was the kilt talking. She eyed the swath of plaid fabric wrapped around his hips and wondered, like any female in her position would, what might or might not be under there. Reluctantly, she raised her gaze and caught him scrutinizing her in return.

“What be these strange breeks ye wear?” he asked, moving in a circle around her.

Cassie swore she could feel the weight of each of his eyeballs resting on her denim-clad backside. Fair enough. After a prolonged moment, she glanced over her shoulder. “Get a good look?”

“Aye.” He swallowed. “’Tis most unseemly, lass.” He shook his head, gaze still glued to her ass.

“They’re called jeans.” She pivoted to face him. “Are you for real?”

He met her gaze, his answer falling from his lips in a deep, rich brogue with trilling r’s that curled her toes, “Aye, lass, I’m real.”

Cassie’s heart hiccupped. Of course he’s real. Unless those shots were stronger than I thought. “Were you at the whisky tasting?”

“Whisky?” His green-gold eyes lit with interest. “Do ye have whisky for me, then? I could use a wee dram. Be a good lass and fetch it for me.”

“Ha! I think you’ve had enough, mister. Is that how you ended up stuck in there?” Even as she said this, Cassie doubted it. She didn’t smell a hint of alcohol on him, though she did pick up other pleasant smells. Mint and clove and man and . . . Stop being ridiculous.

His broad shoulders lifted and dropped. “I dinna ken.” “How long were you in there?”

Another shrug.

Cassie dragged her attention away from the wide curve of his shoulders and leaned past him, inspecting the dark, narrow space behind the bookshelf.

He grabbed her wrist and pulled her back, panic edg- ing his voice. “Nay, lass. Doona be going in there.”

“Why not?” She inched forward and tried to get a bet- ter look.

“It canna be safe.” He tugged on her wrist again, his fingers warm and firm.

Tiny butterflies danced along the path where his skin touched hers. She brushed away the tingling sensation and slipped out of his grip, careful not to snag her bracelet. “Well, you were in there, and you appear to have man- aged.”

“Are ye daft, wench? I was trapped!”

She sniffed, not sure she liked being referred to as a wench, and frowned up at him. “What’s the last thing you remember?”

He closed his eyes and slumped against the shelf. “I canna recall anything afore the moment I woke to find my-self crammed within yonder wall.” He blinked and fo- cused intently on her. “The moment I found you, lass.”

Cassie decided she liked being called lass much better than wench, especially when he was looking at her like that. Gazes locked, her other senses sharpened, heighten- ing her awareness of his body and its proximity to hers. She cleared her throat. “Hm. I think it’d be more accurate to say I’m the one who found you.” Telling herself she was only searching for injuries, she reached up and tentatively skimmed her palms along his temples, her fingers trailing his scalp.

“Looking for devil’s horns?” The man cocked one wicked brow at her as he raised his arms to mirror her movements, running his hands over her head and shoul- ders before brushing his palms down her back. “Ye’ve naught got any fairy wings, so I’d say we’re even. In fact,” he whispered against her hair, standing so close the low burr of his voice became a purr in her own chest, “ye feel perfect to me.”

Like the migrating monarchs her dad studied, the but- terflies made a return trip, enveloping her in a fluttery haze. She shivered. Whether it was the Scot or the scotch or both, Cassie didn’t care. He was here and she was here, and damn it all, it was about time she skipped to the good stuff. With a forceful mental click, Cassie turned off her brain, tilted her chin up, and caught his mouth with hers.

He made a low sound in the back of his throat, of pro- test or surprise, she wasn’t sure. But then his hands settled at her waist, and he returned the kiss. His mouth was somehow soft and hard at the same time, and when he slipped his tongue between her lips, she felt more light- headed than if she’d downed every shot of whisky that had been on that tasting list.

Cassie rolled her tongue against his, savoring the deli- cious contact. He met her thrust for thrust, deepening the kiss until she was swept away on a tidal wave of desire. This. This is what I’ve been waiting for. She clung to him, hands gripping his shoulders, swimming in sensa- tion, drowning in it.

Review: Under the Northern Lights by S.C. Stephens

Posted on

From the number one New York Times bestselling author of the Thoughtless series comes a sweet, thoughtful romance set high in the Alaskan wilderness.

Mallory Reynolds is a driven woman fueled by her passion for photographing wild animals in remote locations. Every year she makes a trek deep into Alaska, but this time the unthinkable happens: she crash-lands after her plane stalls out in a storm. Injured, vulnerable, and threatened by the very creatures she loves, Mallory fears the worst—until she’s rescued by Michael Bradley, a mysterious mountain man living in self-imposed exile.

Mallory is grateful for Michael’s help but desperate to return home to let her family know she’s alive. Unfortunately, neither of them can leave Michael’s secluded cabin until spring. Mallory’s stuck with a stranger for months.

As Mallory recovers, a deep bond begins to form between the pair. Mallory is convinced that fate brought them together, but Michael is buried in his past, unable to move forward. Undaunted, Mallory tends to Michael’s heart as tenderly as he cared for her wounds—but will her love be enough to heal him?

MY REVIEW

Under the Northern Lights starts off with a bang and will keep you captivated from the very first page. Under the Northern Lights follows the story of Mallory and Michael. Mallory’s passion in life is her photography. She loves seeing nature and animals in their natural habitat. Every year she journeys deep into Alaska. Everything has always gone to plan until this last trip. The unexpected happens and causes her plane to crash. Mallory suddenly finds herself injured, alone and vulnerable to the Alaskan wilderness. Just as Mallory’s worst fears come to light, Michael enters the picture. This mysterious mountain man saves her life and gives her shelter until it’s safe for Mallory to return home. Mallory and Michael are stuck together and have to make the most of their situation. Fate put these Mallory and Michael together and soon an unforgettable bond forms. When Spring comes, will Mallory be able to return to the life she once knew or will she throw it all away for the mysterious mountain man, Michael??? There’s only one way to find out….

Under the Northern Lights is an extremely well written tale of survival and hope. From the moment I met Mallory, I was hooked. Her story gripped me instantly. I felt like I was experiencing her pain and despair right along with her. I was on pins and needles, wondering how her story was going to play out. It was exciting and intense and definitely had me burning through the pages. Michael was also a very intriguing character. I wanted to know why he lived in isolation? Why did he choose to stay in Alaska? How did he learn to survive all on his own? He was complicated and guarded and I for one couldn’t wait to see his walls crumble.

I loved the slow burn and friendship between Mallory and Michael. I loved the feeling of hope despite the intense circumstances. I loved the sense of survival and seeing what you can accomplish when you really put your mind to it. My only complaint was that I felt like the ending of the story was a bit rushed. I would have liked to have seen more from Mallory’s return home and how she was adjusting to life back in civilization. I would have also enjoyed getting Michael’s point of view during the time that they were separated. Don’t get me wrong, I’m thrilled with the way things turned out, I just wanted a little more from the last few chapters of the book.

Overall, Under the Northern Lights was an enjoyable read.

MY REVIEW

“I’ve been dreaming of you every night, and if I’m still dreaming, I don’t want to wake up. I need you.”

The Perfect First is wonderful heartwarming opposites attract romance. Told from dual points of  view, The Perfect First follows the story of Seph & Reece. Seph and Reece couldn’t be more different if they tried. While Seph is young, she is smarter than her years; the total nerdy girl. And then you have Reece. Reece will quickly find that there is more to Seph than meets the eye and will do anything to continue on with this unexpected friendship…..

The Perfect First was such a fun and entertaining read. It was so fresh and so unexpected. I couldn’t help but read it in just a single sitting. Seph and Reece pulled me in from the very first page and left me hanging on every word. Reece & Seph had amazing chemistry. I loved how different they were and how they brought out the best in one another. I loved the slow burn and build toward their something more. The took the time to get to know one another and really let the tension build. And once the lines began to cross, all bets were off and I just couldn’t get enough.

The Perfect First is a really sweet story filled with fantastic humor and lots of great firsts. I laughed. I swooned. I totally fell in love with these characters and their story. The Perfect First was a joy to read, from beginning to end. I thoroughly enjoyed getting lost in these characters.

Marry the town pharmacist and have a nice, quiet life with our son? Check-check.

“Oh, I’m sorry. Did you say you were happy? LOLOLOLOL!” ~ Life

Ember Hastings never thought she’d be dragged away from White Timber and everything she loved, thrust in the middle of a big city she hated, or have her husband of nine years say, “I can’t do this anymore,” all within the span of three months, yet here she is.

She misses her family, she misses the farm, and she misses having a backbone and caring whether or not the stain on her shirt is chocolate or shit. She works from home doing transcription. Does she really need to shower or leave the house?

Baker Matthews has been bringing everyone down lately with his grouchy attitude. His job is stressful, and sometimes depressing, but he wouldn’t change anything about it. When a glitch with the transcription company he’s using mistakenly sends him notes he wasn’t supposed to see, Baker finds himself laughing out loud for the first time in months.

He’s never met a woman who says whatever she’s thinking and doesn’t fawn all over him when she finds out what he does for a living. Until Ember Hastings comes barreling into his life, calling him Shit Mouth and asking if he has any balls.

But she wants to keep this professional. She made him pinky swear, and you don’t mess around with pinky swears. Baker will have to get creative if he wants to prove to Ember that he’s just her type.

MY REVIEW

“As soon as our eyes locked back at Starbucks, I knew it was him. I don’t know how. I just felt it. Which sounds stupid as shit when I say it in my head. But God, the way he looked at me. Like he recognized me instantly, appreciated what he saw, and would chew off the arm of any man who tried to talk to me. It was possessive and hot. Something that should have had me running in the opposite direction, considering it was coming from some guy whose last name I didn’t even know, who I met on-line. I didn’t run away. I walked right toward him like he was a magnet pulling me in.”

“Seeing you in person for the first time, being in the same room with you, listening to you laugh, standing close to you, and watching your face when you put me in my place took my goddamn breath away.”

“Baker’s foreplay is…him. Everything about him. He’s a goddamn weapon of mass sexual destruction.”

Tara Sivec has done it again! Just My Type is the kind of romantic comedy that everyone needs in their life. Baker & Ember are a total force to be reckoned with and their story is one that you are not going to want to miss out on!!!

Just My Type hooked me from the moment I dove into this book. From that very first encounter with Ember, I just knew this book was going to contain nothing but awesomness. You see, Ember’s life was turned upside down when her husband’s job forced them to move to Chicago. But, Ember didn’t let that get her down. She just rolled with the punches and tried her hardest to be the best wife and mother that she could be. Who knew that three short months later, her loser husband would be calling it quits after 9 years together??!! Turns out this change was the best thing that could have ever happened to her. Sure she missed her family and missed the home she grew up in. But, Ember was left with no choice but to just roll with the punches. And boy did she ever. While her life may not be what she was expecting, Ember was ok with that and just wanted to be the woman she was always destined to be. And Baker was the man she never saw coming and certainly wasn’t looking for. Baker & Ember were a match made in heaven and I just love, love, loved getting lost in their story!

When it comes to romantic comedies, Just My Type definitely lands at the top of my list. Not only was this book laugh out loud hilarious (my face hurt from laughing so much), but it also had some really wonderful, down to earth characters that just can’t help wanting to know more about. The banter and chemistry was off the charts. And speaking of banter, the banter between Ember & Baker was my favorite part of the whole story. I just loved how real Ember was with Baker. She didn’t sensor herself around him and just never held back. And Baker loved that about her. She didn’t treat him differently because of his past and what he was doing with his life. She just made him feel like a regular guy. And I just couldn’t get enough. I mean if the banter and interactions weren’t enough for you, the sparks between Ember & Baker were literally jumping off the pages. They just meshed so well together and made it look so easy and so effortless.

Just My Type wasn’t all sunshine and lollipops. There definitely were a few bumps along the way for Ember & Baker. Their story had a lot of heart and realness to it. And I just honestly loved watching them try to navigate their way though all the challenges that life brought to them. I just loved this couple so much that I could just read their story over and over again and never get bored. Ember & Baker are one of a kind and completely unforgettable.

Just My Type is the kind of story that just can’t help but totally immerse yourself in. The characters are one of a kind and totally unique. The story-line is a riot and will have you laughing out loud the entire time. Not only is this story filled with humor; but it’s smartly written, full of heart, has amazing friendships, and wonderful chemistry. It’s sexy and fun with just the right touch of drama. At the end of the day, Just My Type is the kind of story that you want to devour yet savor all at the same time.

n case you couldn’t tell, I absolutely adored this book. Just My Type was like sunshine on a cloudy day. It gave me all the feels, made my sides & face hurt from laughter and kept me dying for more. It was all of that and then some. I loved getting lost in these characters and never wanted their story to end. Tara Sivec has once again knocked me off of my feet and I for one can not wait to see what she has in store for us readers next!

Stay With Me, an all-new standalone contemporary romance by USA Today bestselling author K.L. Grayson is live!

Cover.jpg

Stay with me.

Three simple words.

One impossible request.

I’ve loved Allie McCallister for as long as I can remember. Her happiness and well-being mean more to me than anything else, which is why when the opportunity of a lifetime presented itself, I had to take it. Three months was such a short amount of time to be apart to provide the financial stability we needed to start our lives.

It wasn’t supposed to catapult my band to stardom, and it sure as hell wasn’t supposed to set off the chain of events that pushed my relationship with Allie to the brink. Our hearts were shattered, our love tested, and when everything fell apart she begged me to leave.

Eight years ago, tragedy broke us. Now we’re back in the same little town where we once dreamed of building our future.

She’s a divorced, single mom.

I’m a damaged country music star.

There are a hundred reasons for us to stay apart.

But all it takes is one look, one touch, one kiss to know our story isn’t over. Now I have to convince her to let me stay.

MY REVIEW

“There isn’t a rewind button in life, but every once in a while, we get a do-over. Sometimes, if we’re lucky, we get a chance to do right the second time that we got the first wrong.”

“That look is everything I need.”

“Two bodies, two hearts, two souls, raw and vulnerable as they reunite and become one.”

Stay with Me….3 simple words that have the power to make or break you. One moment. One outcome that has the power to turn your life upside down. But, sometimes, if you’re lucky fate will intervene and offer up a second chance. If that should happen, if fate should offer you that second chance, one would be stupid to not go after it with everything they’ve got……

Allie and Jackson fell hard and fast for one another. But life took them both on unexpected roads. Eight years would pass before before these two would cross paths again. Jackson’s had a lot of time to reflect on his past and now that his path has once again crossed with Allie, he will do anything to keep her.

The road to happily ever after for Jackson and Allie won’t be an easy one. They both have pain and heartache to work past. But, if there is one thing that I’ve learned while immersing myself in Jackson and Allie’s story is that these two have an unforgettable and powerful love. What they once shared is real, and worth fighting for. Sure, they’re both different people than they once were. But, a love like they have is a love that can withstand anything…..

Stay with Me is a heartbreaking and beautiful second chance romance. This story pulled me in from the first page and had me holding my breath until the very last page. From pain and love to heartbreak and second chances. This story was beautifully written and was everything that I could ever want or need in a book by K.L. Grayson.

Release Blitz with Review: Junk Mail by Kendall Ryan

Posted on

Junk Mail, a hilariously sexy standalone by New York Times bestselling author is live and available everywhere.

It all started with a sexy selfie. 🍆

A deliciously naughty, tell-everyone-you-know read!

About Junk Mail

It all started with a sexy selfie.

Texted to the wrong number.

Oops.

Not my finest moment—but I have nothing to be ashamed of.

She thought I was no better, and I quote, than the knuckle-dragging douche-bags she was never dating again.

It was a stupid dare from a girl I’d met online, but since she’d given me a fake number, I didn’t feel bad that my interests were suddenly focused elsewhere—on the fiery and sharp-tongued, Peyton that I found myself sparring with over text for the rest of the evening.

The following day, my case of mistaken identity came back to bite me in the banana.

When I strolled into the office, I was introduced to Peyton as the new client I needed to win over. The Peyton , in case you’re not tracking.

And let’s just say she had my full attention.

Brains? Check.

Beauty? Oh yeah.

And the best part? She hated me on sight.

Dear God, do I love a challenge.

Let the games begin.

MY REVIEW

“Ordinary is the last word I’d use to describe what just went down between the two of us. Not unless you tack an extra in front of it. Because, goddamn, Peyton is extraordinary in every possible way.”

Who would have known that a sexy text sent to the wrong person, would turn your entire world upside down, leaving you chasing the most epic love of all….

Words can not even begin to express how much I adored Peyton and Josh!! Their story hooked me from the very first page and I was honestly powerless in devouring it. I couldn’t put Junk Mail down. Junk Mail is everything that I’m looking for in an office style romantic comedy. The story-line was fresh and entertaining. I couldn’t help but laugh at the initial meeting between Peyton & Josh. Their start was definitely unconventional and once they realized who the other was, well, all bets were off. The pull between Peyton & Josh led to some fantastic will they/won’t they moments that just left me desperate for more. These two tried super hard to keep things strictly business, but their attraction would prove too hard to ignore…

Junk Mail was exactly the book I was looking for. It captivated me from the very first page and Josh totally stole my heart. From embarrassing moments to ones that had you laughing out loud. To moments of flirtation, undeniable chemistry, and steamy encounters. To men being men and not realizing that it’s the little details that matter and can lead to terrible miscommunication. This book had it all and had just the right amount of drama, steam, humor and angst. I even adored the side story of Gram & Duncan. Gram was a total hoot and I loved her meddling. I was happy to see her find some love as well.

Bottom line: I LOVED Junk Mail. I loved every single moment of this story from beginning to end. I laughed. I swooned. I got annoyed. And in the end, I was left with the biggest smile on my face. Junk Mail was the perfect read to spend my day getting lost in and is definitely a top read from this author.
