Book Blurb:

Evil is coming. A dark malevolence the likes of which this world has never seen, and it comes straight from the depths of Hell. Darkness meant to destroy. A prophecy I am fated to fulfill but will most likely not survive. Through it all, Carrick Byrne has stood strong by my side. Something has deeply changed between me and the man I once despised, and all it took was a kiss of provocation for both of us to feel it. I know deep in my soul we’re being guided by destiny, but I don’t know if I can trust it. Carrick is holding something back, and I fear the consequences could be deadly once his truth is revealed. We’re not ready, but calamity waits for no woman. I have discovered a power within myself I must learn to master. A new connection in the Underworld has been revealed to me, one that I hope is friend but is just as likely foe. We are in a race against time as we try to figure out how to stop the end of the world from occurring. The battle is coming, and I can only hope we’re prepared for what happens next. The Evolution of Fae and Gods is book three of the Chronicles of the Stone Veil series and is best enjoyed if read in series order.

“The Descent of the Drowned”

Author: Ana Lal Din

Pub date: March 15, 2021

Publisher: White Tigress Press

Genre: YA/Crossover Indo-Persian Fantasy

Book Synopsis

She is bound to serve. He is meant to kill. Survival is their prison. Choice is their weapon. Ana Lal Din showcases her storytelling skills in her young adult debut, weaving together a harrowing narrative that examines humankind at its darkest and brightest. Set in a colonised Indo-Persian world and inspired by Pre-Islamic Arabian mythology, “The Descent of the Drowned” weaves together tales of power, identity, redemption, and what it takes to hold on to one’s humanity in the face of devastation.

As the sacred slave of a goddess, Roma is of a lower caste that serves patrons to sustain the balance between gods and men. What she wants is her freedom, but deserters are hunted and hanged, and Roma only knows how to survive in her village where women are vessels without a voice. When her younger brother is condemned to the same wretched fate as hers, Roma must choose between silence and rebellion.

Leviathan is the bastard son of an immortal tyrant. Raised in a military city where everyone knows of his blood relation to the persecuted clans, Leviathan is considered casteless. Lowest of the low. Graduating as one of the deadliest soldiers, he executes in his father’s name, displaying his worth. When he faces judgement from his mother’s people — the clans — Leviathan must confront his demons and forge his own path, if he ever hopes to reclaim his soul.

But in the struggle to protect the people they love and rebuild their identities, Roma’s and Leviathan’s destinies interlock as the tyrant hunts an ancient treasure that will doom humankind should it come into his possession — a living treasure to which Roma and Leviathan are the ultimate key.

Excerpt from Chapter 27

Roma clutched the hairpin in her hand. The daunting frame of the Firawn’s son was shrouded in a black cloak, the curved-sword pendant tucked out of sight, but his hood was drawn back from his head. Shadows haunted the hollows of his face and obscured his emotions to anyone who might search beyond the surface. She met his unwavering stare with a cumulative numbness within her chest and the promise of blood in her eyes. She didn’t want to feel such despair, nor did she want darkness to swaddle her mind, but she had accepted that her auction would end with her death.

What did it matter if it were an executioner who took her life or if it were her?

When the Firawn’s son took a deliberate step toward her, the blood promise blazed like a fuelled torch, and she touched the tip of the blade to her throat.

“Don’t come near me,” she warned.

Every sound, smell, and taste overpowered her heightened senses. Her frantic pulse throbbed like drumbeats in her ears. She smelled the scattered rose petals and tasted the subtle vibration in the air at his slightest shift. It somehow reached her, pricking her sensitive nerves and exposing his invisible stealth. She shifted as he did. Her mirrored movement caught his attention, and he looked at her with a different awareness.

“You don’t want to do this, Roma.”

Tipping back her head, she pressed the point of the blade into her skin. A warm line of blood seeped down the side of her bared throat. His face hardened and his movement stilled.

“I don’t want you to touch me.”

“If I wanted to touch you,” he said, disturbingly calm, “you’d already be on the bed.”

Her knees trembled from exhaustion and her skin still burned from the fever. Fear had eroded her for hours, days, years. Now she came full circle. It would all end tonight. “Then why am I here?” she asked in no more than a whisper. He was silent. Because he didn’t have an answer that could convince her of his lies. “I’m not educated like you, Saheb, but I’m not stupid.”

“No, you’re not,” he murmured.

“I know what you want. You want power. And it makes you feel powerful when you subdue me.” The blade burrowed deeper and the blood trail thickened. A surreptitious shadow of emotion came and went in the nadirs of his eyes. She didn’t care to define it. “I won’t be broken by your kind again.”

“My kind?”

“Your kind, Saheb. Men.”

“You’re a survivor.”

“This is my survival,” she whispered.

Drawing back her hand to stab her throat, she saw him close the distance in mere heartbeats. She should have killed herself, but an instinctual part of her—a part far too strong that always sought life over death—overwhelmed her, and she switched to sink the blade into him in the very last second.

It was a mistake.

Author Q&A

  1. How did you convey your own struggles with cultural identity through the two protagonists in the book?

Leviathan struggles with a physical sense of belonging in that the higher caste won’t accept him and neither will the clans. Roma struggles with a spiritual sense of belonging in that she feels disconnected from the belief system she has been raised with. Both characters have had society shape and force an identity on them that doesn’t harmonise with their nature, so they’re conflicted and rootless and have to dismantle their imposed identities, reconstruct them on their own terms, and carve out a place for themselves in the world — something that I feel I have had to do as well.

  1. How did you handle the identity crisis that came from being raised in three different cultures (Danish, Pakistani-Indian, Islamic)?

I didn’t handle it. I grew up confused, frustrated, conflicted. I still am. I think most people, if not all, experience an identity crisis at some point in their lives. Mine also came from the fact that I was the youngest child of immigrant parents from an Indian-Pakistani and Muslim background. Choosing to be Muslim over Danish, Pakistani or Indian, eased some of that frustration, but nothing has been resolved. I’m still attempting to understand who I am. I’m still sorting through the cultural baggage to uncover the things that hold value to me and discard those that don’t. It’s a process. A long, unstable process.

  1. How did you explore the theme of humanity versus depravity throughout the book?

Through the characters’ experiences, circumstances and choices. Some of the characters in the novel abandon human decency and become beasts. Others attempt to hold on to their humanity even in the darkest of times. I have tried to illustrate what happens when one crosses the line between humanity and depravity. When one chooses to oppress, violate, annihilate. And, also, when one chooses mercy, compassion and redemption.

  1. How do humans become a product of their social and cultural heritage?

Social and cultural heritage is the behaviour, values, social status and belief system which we inherit from our environment (i.e. the people who raise us and the milieu wherein we are raised). We become a product of this heritage when we’re brought up in a particular environment with a particular belief system and uphold/follow that system with or without question.

  1. What inspired you to start writing?

Stories. When I was a child, my older sisters would read the Arabian Nights and Danish fairy tales to me. I became so absorbed in the stories that I would enact them. If I didn’t like something, I changed the narrative or content. I discovered the power of words. That they can enlighten, manipulate, inspire, enrage. With this understanding, I wanted to use my own words to write something that might matter beyond just the entertainment value.

  1. How did you portray the current issues, catastrophes, and sufferings of the voiceless within this fantasy world?

I have woven previous and current social, cultural and political issues into the setting. Things such as caste system, rape culture, ethnic cleansing/genocide, colonisation and war crimes are all familiar aspects of our world. I have explored those issues (and others) through the characters’ circumstances and personal experiences in the novel.

  1. What is the connection between your background, the #ownvoices elements and the issues that are represented in the book?

Like most of the characters in the novel, I come from a multicultural background, and I have struggled to break out of the social and cultural heritage that shaped the world wherein I was raised. Moreover, I’m a woman with a mental illness, which made it harder for me in a culture where women are already considered a burden without much value, so a mental illness on top of that was like the final nail in the coffin. Caste is also a reality in my culture. The perception/oppression of women, multicultural identity, mental illness, social and cultural heritage, and caste system are subjects I have explored or engaged with throughout the novel.

  1. What are some of the sources that have inspired the story world in your book?

I have attempted to build a colonised Indo-Persian world and drawn inspiration from pre-Islamic Arabian mythology, Islam, and the social, cultural, religious, and political history of South Asia, West Asia, the Middle East, ancient Arabia and other places over time. Most of the incidents in the novel are authentic cases from our own world in some shape or form.

  1. What do you hope readers gain from your book?

I want to spread awareness. It reminds us that we as human beings have a responsibility toward each other. To know, to understand, to listen and to help. I want to provoke thought, and I want readers to feel. Whether that feeling is anger, discomfort, compassion, hope, curiosity or a conflicting combination of all. If I can encourage even one person to research about any of the issues, I would feel that I have achieved something valuable with this novel. That I have succeeded.

Author Bio

Ana Lal Din is an #ownvoices author who was born in a Danish southwestern city and raised in a small town outside Copenhagen. What drives her as a writer is developing characters that are psychologically and emotionally complex, reflecting human nature at its darkest and brightest — and everything in between. Life as I knew it ended the day I accepted my fate. In its place is an existence even the wildest imagination could never fathom. Strange creatures walk among us, plotting our demise, and I’ve come to find that the fate of our world rests squarely on my shoulders. We’re all in danger and I’m trying to figure out how to make it through each day. The key to my survival is a man I can’t figure out. As dangerous as the darkest fae, I have no choice but to work with him to stop the prophecy that’s foretold to be the ruination of mankind. Carrick Byrne continues to be my only source of information, but he doles it out as he sees fit. He intrigues and scares me in equal measure, yet I can’t help but be attracted to him. And the more I discover about him, the more it becomes clear he feels the same. As we travel to Faere in search of answers, we find that every piece of information leads to more questions, that every question leads to a new piece of the puzzle, and that, most importantly, no one can be trusted. The more secrets we uncover, one thing is certain— if we have any chance of saving the world, we have to do it together. “What are you up to?” I asked, turning my head to watch Raven as, grinning, he leapt up from the chair and hurried across the room.
“I said don’t look!” he replied, making shooing movements with his hands as he went to answer the door to the royal apartments.
One of the palace servants waited on the other side. The woman handed him something that he shielded with his body—clearly not wanting me to see it. Raven thanked the woman, sent her away and shut the door behind her, leaving us alone in the royal apartments. That was just fine by me. I didn’t get nearly enough alone time with Raven at the moment, with everything that was going on.
“Asha, will you do what I say? Close your eyes!” he growled. “It’s a surprise!”
I rolled my eyes, then screwed them tight shut. I felt rather than heard Raven cross the room. The bond allowed me to sense him acutely: where he was, what he was feeling. Right now, he was feeling a little smug.
What was he up to? He’d been cagey all morning, nipping off at regular intervals—even when we were in session with the rest of the council—to check how my ‘surprise’ was coming along. He’d refused to say a word about it other than all would be revealed when we were alone.
Well, here we were.
“Hold out your hand,” he said, kneeling in front of me.
I did as he asked. Raven placed a flat, rectangular object in my hand. A smell came from it that set my taste buds tingling and made the hairs in my nostrils do a little dance. No way! It couldn’t be! Could it?
I began to open my eyes, but Raven placed his hand over them. “No peeking! Take a bite.”
I raised the object to my lips, placed the tiniest corner in my mouth, and took a little bite. The taste that spread over my tongue was so sweet and so unexpected that I gasped. My eyes flew open and widened when I saw what sat on my palm.
“Chocolate!” I gasped. “It’s chocolate!”
Raven grinned triumphantly. “You like it?”
“Like it? Raven, I love it!”
I took a big bite of the chocolate and my eyes slid closed in ecstasy. In my old life in the mortal realm, I’d been something of a chocoholic. To my dismay, I’d soon learned that here in the Summerlands the Fae didn’t have chocolate. Or coffee. Or pizza. Or any one of a hundred little treats that I’d taken for granted back home. How long had it been since I’d eaten chocolate? I couldn’t remember.
It took me less than a minute to finish the bar. “Where did you find it?” I asked with my mouth full.
“I didn’t find it. I had Kalla—the head chef—recreate the recipe from your description and what I could remember of the taste from the mortal realm. He’s been experimenting all morning and, if that look on your face is anything to go by, it seems he might finally have gotten the recipe right.”
“So that’s why you’ve been disappearing all morning? To go check on his progress in the kitchen?”
A faint smile curled Raven’s lips. “Of course. And it made a perfect excuse for getting out of meeting with the council.”
He tried to make his tone light, but the bond was too strong for me to miss the sudden flare of disquiet that went through him. It had only been twenty-four hours since our confrontation with Eliana Rose, the woman who had once been the Spire, the spiritual leader of the Fae, and whom everyone had thought murdered at the hands of a mortal. It had only been twenty-four hours since she’d used the Orb of Tir to gain control over Raven and order him to kill me.
Since then, he’d been trying to make it up to me, even though I’d told him over and over again that I didn’t hold him responsible for what had happened. How could I? Nobody could withstand the Orb of Tir, a device that amplified the power of the Fae glamor a thousand times over.
It was now locked deep within the bowels of the palace, guarded by layer upon layer of protective magic. We all knew the Unseelie would be coming for it. The Orb was instrumental in their plans to invade the mortal realm because it had a second power: the ability to bring down the Veil that separated the two realms. Unease squirmed through me at the thought and I pushed it away, forcing myself to concentrate on my mate.
“You did this all for me?”
He grinned and his lavender eyes sparkled. “Of course I did all this for you. Well, technically Kalla did really, but I put him up to it, which is almost as good. And there’s plenty more where that came from.”
He shifted to reveal the low table behind him. A large silver platter sat on it, piled high with chocolates in all shapes and sizes. There was white chocolate, milk chocolate, dark chocolate, chocolate that looked like it had nuts in it, chocolate dusted with icing sugar.
Oh my. Oh my, oh my, oh my.
My mouth formed a little O of surprise. Now all I needed was a skinny latte with cinnamon sprinkles, and I would really believe I’d died and gone to heaven. I plucked one of the chocolates off the plate and popped it into my mouth. Crunchy caramel. Divine.
“Aren’t you having any?” I asked Raven.
He pulled a face. “It’s a little too sweet for my liking.”
I scooted to the edge of my seat and put my arms around his neck. “Maybe I can find a way to show you my appreciation.”
I kissed him, pressing my lips against his and pulling him close. He kissed me back hungrily. His tongue slipped inside my mouth and his hands pressed into the small of my back, forcing my body against his hard, muscular frame. Heat shot to the space between my legs and I felt him grow hard in response. It was always like this. Raven’s slightest touch, the tiniest feel of his skin against mine, awoke a desire in me that I could barely control.
His big hand slid over my stomach and under the waistband of the loose pants I was wearing. He didn’t stop kissing me as his fingers slipped into that hot place between my legs and began to explore. I moaned against his lips, my eyes sliding shut. Raven was an expert at this. He’d explored every inch of my body many times and knew exactly what I needed.
The calloused pads of his fingers circled my nub, gently caressing. Shivers of pleasure rippled down my spine, and I couldn’t help the tiny gasps that escaped my throat. Sensing my need, Raven shifted position and slipped a finger inside me.
The shivers became a deluge. I threw back my head, panting, as Raven worked me, bringing my body to the brink of pleasure. I grabbed his shoulders, dug my fingers into his hard flesh. My climax took me. I shuddered, losing myself in the ecstasy that rocked my body.
“That was supposed to be the other way around,” I gasped. “I was going to show you my gratitude.”
He smiled wickedly, revealing his perfect white teeth. “You’re my mate, Asha. It’s my job to bring you pleasure, and I’ll keep doing it. Forever.”
Forever. That word ought to make me feel good, but something about it bothered me. It stirred up an issue that I’d been doing my best to ignore. Raven was a Fae, near immortal, but I was not. In seventy years or so, I’d be nearing the end of my life. I would be old, weak and infirm. Raven would have barely aged a day.
So, whilst it might be forever for me, it would not be for him.
Raven cocked his head. “Asha, what is it?”
I looked away. “Nothing. It’s nothing.”
He took hold of my chin and turned me to face him. “Something is bothering you; I can feel it. There are no secrets between us, remember? What’s wrong?”
I chewed my lip, trying to think of the right words. “It’s something Ffion said. About how long-lived your kind are—about how you’re practically immortal.”
“But you already knew that.”
“That’s not the problem. It’s me that’s the problem. I’m not like you, Raven. I’m human. Mortal. What happens when I get old? When I…die?”
He stared at me for a moment as if puzzled by the question. “There’s nothing to worry about, Asha. Fae mates share the same fate. The moment you became my mate, your life-force became that of the Fae. You are as immortal as I am, Asha.”
My jaw dropped and I gaped at him, stunned. You are as immortal as I am. Had he really just said that? Had he really just said that so matter-of-factly, as though it was the most normal thing in the world?
“I’m what?” I said incredulously. “What the hell are you talking about? I’m human, not a Fae!”
“That doesn’t matter. The bond sustains you now. You have the same life-force as I do.”
“And you didn’t think to tell me this?”
“I didn’t think it would be an issue.”
“You didn’t think it was an issue? Are you serious?”
I jumped to my feet. He had assumed I would be okay with becoming immortal? Without even discussing it with me first? Without even telling me?
“Asha, what’s wrong?”
“What’s wrong?” I snapped. “What’s wrong? You’ve just told me I’m going to live for what? Hundreds, thousands of years? Jeez, Raven! Why didn’t you discuss this with me?”
He blinked. “I assumed you knew.”
“Well, you assumed wrong! I’m human, Raven. I’m not meant to live that long. All that time…almost eternity.” The scale of the thought staggered me. It was too much for me to take in. I pressed a hand to my forehead. “Oh hell. Oh, holy hell.”
He reached out a hand but I stepped back.
“You should have told me! What else is there that I don’t know? What else have you been keeping from me?”
His lavender eyes flashed. “Sit down and we can talk about this—”
A sudden pounding on the door cut off his words. Hawk’s voice called, “Raven! Come on, we’re late! They’re all waiting!”
Raven cursed under his breath. “I have to go. We’ll talk about this later. Okay?”
I crossed my arms but didn’t reply. Raven looked as though he was about to say more, but then spun on his heel and strode to the door. He paused and glanced back at me on the threshold, then pulled open the door and left.
I sank onto the chair and blew out a long breath. Immortal. How could I be immortal? And how could Raven have thought it wouldn’t bother me? For the first time since I’d met him, our differences loomed like a chasm between us. He was Fae. I was human. No matter the bond that joined us, we remained so very different.
Immortality. My human brain struggled to comprehend the concept. For a Fae, it would have been as simple as breathing. For me? For me, the idea of all those years stretching out into eternity was utterly terrifying.
And Raven had not even asked me. Had not given me the choice. That stung more than anything. I suddenly felt very alone. I had nobody to discuss this with. I was the only human in a world of Fae. None of them would understand, not even, it seemed, my mate.
My gaze came to rest on the platter of chocolates. I scooped it onto my knee and began popping them into my mouth.

Book Blurb:

A Discovery of Secrets and Fate is book two of the Chronicles of the Stone Veil series and is best enjoyed if read in series order.

Book Blurb:

I always knew I was different.

From a young age, my mind has been plagued with things only I could see. Some hauntingly beautiful, others completely terrifying. Never knowing if these visions were real or just hallucinations, I learned how to lock them down and ignore them. I learned to take solace in the relative anonymity of city life and find peace in the rainy days my city of Seattle is known for.

But just when I think my life is getting on track and my dreams are achievable, a moment of weakness causes me to learn a hard and fast lesson.

My entire existence has been a lie.

Now I’m faced with a new reality that’s as implausible as it is fantastical. Filled with realms and veils, light and dark, fae and daemons, gods and angels—things I don’t understand but am forced to acknowledge. It doesn’t help that the man teaching me about my unique gifts is the gorgeously handsome Carrick Byrne, one of Seattle’s richest and most powerful men. He intimidates, annoys, and intrigues me all at the same time. I don’t trust him and yet there’s no one else to help me.

No longer certain who to put my faith in, what to believe, or how I fit into it all, one revelation is clear…

The world as I know it will never be the same again. The Revelation of Light and Dark is book one of the Chronicles of the Stone Veil series and is best enjoyed if read in series order.

EXCERPT

The venue room is gorgeous, one entire side showcasing a curved floor-to-ceiling glass aquarium filled with colorful fish and amazing corals. There are a lot of people here already and after nabbing a flute of champagne from a passing waiter, I start to search for Carrick. Because of his height, it’s not difficult to rule people out, but after making one trip around the room, I still haven’t found him.

Rather than do it again, I decide to move off to a semi-quiet space so I can observe people as they mingle, drink, and move along the catered tables of posh food. While I wait for Carrick to make an appearance, I use the opportunity to check my abilities in such a large crowd, as there has to be easily four hundred people milling about.

As I had been practicing my abilities the last few weeks—learning to hone in on vibes first—I had also learned the reverse. In other words, I could lock my senses down if I wanted some peace and didn’t want to be assaulted by vibes just out of the blue. I mostly use it at work, choosing to be ignorant of what hides under my patrons’ faces so my workday isn’t ruined.

Inhaling through my nose, I imagine my chest opening as I exhale and give a silent invitation for the slightest omen to come in. The minute I do, I get a tingly feeling in my belly and then immediately look to the source… a pretty brunette woman five feet to my right. Based on feeling alone, I’m confident she’s a Light Fae or daemon because of the pleasant vibe. Still, as Carrick has said, we’ve not yet proven if my intuitions can truly distinguish Light from Dark. I mean, personally… I think my gut and sight match up, but I’m willing to continue experimenting so we can be sure.

Opening my senses fully, I peel her glamour away, realizing immediately she’s fae because she has no aura. I try not to stare as she’s quite beautiful and not all that inhuman looking. Her skin is much paler and appears as if it’s been dusted with crushed diamonds. Her eyes remain the same shape, tilting upward at the outer corner just a tad too much, but they’re filled with what looks like liquid silver where the whites of human eyes would be. She has definitive irises of verdant green. Her hair is as black as midnight, and it falls almost to the middle of her back. She’s thin and delicate, and I almost laugh in delight when she tucks a lock of hair behind her ear to find that it’s pointed at the top.

Is she an elf? Is that even a thing?

Mesmerized, I watch as she talks to a human male companion, wondering if fae and humans have love affairs. I haven’t thought about that until now, but I suppose it’s a possibility. Her companion says something to make her laugh, and my romantic side is fully invested in this couple until she laughs, and razor-sharp teeth are revealed. Not just where her canines are, but every single tooth is conical and pointy, graying slightly at the gum line.

“Better close your mouth before something flies in it.” It’s a deep, sophisticated voice I’ve come to recognize and with dismay, I realize it sometimes causes my skin to tingle.

Twisting, I see Carrick standing there looking unbelievably dashing in a black tuxedo with a white tie. His eyes flick to the fae I’d been looking at and then back to me. “She’s not the type to bite people, but she does eat raw meat and thus the reason for the sharp teeth.”

I can’t help whipping my head her way. It’s such a sudden move that it catches her attention. She gives me a tentative smile, and I force myself not to stare at her teeth. Instead, I motion to her gown. “I was just telling my date how much I love your dress.”

The woman tilts her head, her smile now warm. “Oh, thank you. It’s Givenchy.”

“Just stunning,” I assure her with a nod before turning back to Carrick. Leaning slightly into him, I whisper, “Will I ever stop being stunned at what I see?”

To my surprise, he chuckles, and I soak in the sound of natural laughter from him. It’s the first time I’ve heard him laugh in a way that wasn’t forced or didn’t have some condescension in it. It’s one of the most human things he’s done, and it’s disconcerting to say the least.

He shakes his head. “Sorry… but you’ve not seen a lot of Dark Fae. There are some pretty hideous creatures out there. You need to work on your poker face.”

Ellie Pond has revealed the cover for Wicked Water!

Releasing March 12, 2021

There’s a lot of fish in the sea . . .

I’m lucky. I know I’ve had it good. I have a loving mother and three loving fathers. And I’m the crown princess of Skyrothasia, the Caribbean gem hidden from humans and shifters. Someday I’ll replace my mother and become Queen Melody. I’ve learned languages, political strategy, and how to fight as if I was a merman, not a mermaid.

And although I haven’t started my own royal pod, I will, eventually. The mermen are swarming for my attention, and it gives me apprehension at picking the right ones–the males who want me for me and not only to be one of our four kings.

When danger arises, I’m sent away with Harrison, my BFF’s cousin and the merman everyone, including me, thinks will be my first pod mate.

She’s the siren I want . . .
I’ve wanted to be part of Melody’s pod since I was old enough to think about her as more than my cousin’s best friend.

Now we’re racing towards Boston, assassins on our tails. We’re being followed by a pushy dragon body guard, hired by her parental pod. In the last six years of university I’ve made a lot friends, I’ll miss them when my dissertation is done. Until then, I’m hoping my best friends, a wolf shifter and another merman, can help us out.

Wicked Water is a reverse harem, why choose book, in which the heroine gets to have all of her guys. It has explicit content and language, a cliffhanger, and no cheating. This four-book series takes place in the Dark Wing world with a HEA.
