When we first meet up with Rush and Kira, they’re both looking for a no-strings-attached fling. Rush and Kira’s story is nothing short of a wild and emotional ride. From the moment you meet these two, their chemistry just oozes off the pages and no matter how stubborn or how hard they try to fight it, they can’t deny the feelings they have for one another. Too scared to face the intensity of their feelings, mistakes are made and devastating words are said. All of this leads Rush to spiral and do the unthinkable. Before he knows it, he hits rock bottom. Hitting rock bottom was ultimately the best thing that could have happened to Rush and Kira. At the time, it didn’t seem that way. Both Kira and Rush were stubborn and thought they could handle everything that life threw at them. But it wasn’t just about the two of them anymore. They had a lot of growing up to do and they had to face their pasts. Their journey to happily ever after definitely wasn’t an easy one. It was frustrating and filled with lots of bumps and heartaches. Despite their mistakes, I loved watching Rush and Kira evolve as characters and wild horses couldn’t stop me from rooting for them to find their way back to one another.
Rising is a beautiful story of grief, love when you least expect it, overcoming your past, and second chances. This story deals with tough moments that will tug at your heartstrings and leave you with all the feels. Rising is a fabulous addition to the Wild series and I can not wait to get my hands on the next book in this series!
