Bittersweet Promises is the first book in the Montgomery Ink Legacy series and is a second-chance romance that is sure to capture readers’ hearts as they embark on Leif and Brooke’s unforgettable journey.

When we first meet up with Brooke, she’s returned home to Colorado, ready for a fresh start for herself and her son. The last thing she expected was to be reunited with a former flame. You see, Leif and Brooke fell hard and fast for one another when they were in Paris many years ago. But for reasons neither one of them could understand, they ended up parting ways. Fast forward to six years later and fate has once again intervened with this pair. A chance encounter between Brooke and Leif not only stirs up old feelings but also brings some long-awaited questions to the table. Will Leif and Brooke get a second chance at love? There’s only one way to find out….

Bittersweet Promises is a fabulous read from beginning to end. I was sucked into Leif and Brooke’s story from the very first page. I loved what a strong character Brooke was. She was a dedicated mother and had an exciting career. She loved big and loved hard. She wasn’t used to depending on anyone and when Leif stormed back into her world, he certainly gave her a run for her money. And lets talk about Leif. Talk about being a total catch. He was a complete family man and valued everything that he worked for. His life was anything but easy, but he wasn’t afraid of the hard work. And when fate brought Brooke back into his life, he couldn’t help but jump at a second chance. Together, these two were quite a force. I loved their chemistry and the ease of the two of them being together. Sure, they weren’t always perfect and had their share of issues to contend with, but in the end, these two totally grabbed onto my heart and ran away with it.

Bittersweet Promises is a second-chance romance filled with swoon-worthy moments and just enough drama to keep readers on their toes. The Montgomery Ink Legacy series is off to one heck of a start and I am super excited to see where this series will take us next.
