Devney Perry is one of those auto-read authors for me, so when I saw that she had a new book coming out, it was a total no-brainer. I’m going to be 100% honest with you and tell you that I did not read the synopsis for this book before diving in. In fact, the first time I laid eyes on it was when I was including it in my review. Needless to say, I went into this story 100% blind and I’m glad that I did. There is so much more to this story than meets the eye and boy did it ever consume me.
Garnet Flats is the third book in the Edens series and it follows the story of Talia and Foster. Talia and Foster had one of those epic romances, ones that were written in the stars; until a series of unfortunate circumstances turned their worlds upside down. Now, seven years later, Foster has his sights set on Quincy, Montana, and winning back the only woman he’s ever loved. He knows it won’t be easy and is prepared to go the distance and fight for the woman he loves.
Garnet Flats captivated me from the very first page. From the first moment when Talia laid eyes on Foster after all those years, I knew I was a goner. So, I did what any romance lover would do. I settled in and let myself become completely immersed in their story. Without spoiling anything, I can tell you that Talia and Foster’s story is not what it seems. There is a lot of gray area in this story and the journey is 100% worth it.
If you were faced with an impossible situation, what would you do to protect those you love or care about? Filled with angst and regrets, secrets and revelations, Garnet Flats is everything you could possibly want in a second-chance romance. The characters are real and their flaws made them easy to connect with and fall hopelessly in love with.
Garnet Flats is an instant hit for this reader and I can’t wait to see what this author has in store for us next!
