War is only the beginning…
From the desperation of golden crowns…
Casteel Da’Neer knows all too well that very few are as cunning or vicious as the Blood Queen, but no one, not even him, could’ve prepared for the staggering revelations. The magnitude of what the Blood Queen has done is almost unthinkable.
And born of mortal flesh…
Nothing will stop Poppy from freeing her King and destroying everything the Blood Crown stands for. With the strength of the Primal of Life’s guards behind her, and the support of the wolven, Poppy must convince the Atlantian generals to make war her way—because there can be no retreat this time. Not if she has any hope of building a future where both kingdoms can reside in peace.
A great primal power rises…
Together, Poppy and Casteel must embrace traditions old and new to safeguard those they hold dear—to protect those who cannot defend themselves. But war is only the beginning. Ancient primal powers have already stirred, revealing the horror of what began eons ago. To end what the Blood Queen has begun, Poppy might have to become what she has been prophesied to be—what she fears the most.
As the Harbinger of Death and Destruction.
MY REVIEW
The War of Two Queens is the highly and much anticipated fourth book in the Blood and Ash series by Jennifer Armentrout. War is coming and the stakes for Casteel and Poppy have never been higher. All I can say is get ready. Casteel and Poppy’s story is about to take you on a fantastical journey that will leave no stone unturned and is certain to put your emotions through the wringer.
There is so much I wish I could say about this book, but I’m keeping this review 100% spoiler-free. The War of Two Queens is best enjoyed if you dive into it blind and experience the wild ride for yourself.
This book was everything I had hoped it would be and then some. The War of Two Queens picks up right where The Crown of Guilded Bones left off and sucked me in from the very first page. Wild horses couldn’t stop me from reading this book. I devoured it in just two short days and with a book that sits at 626 pages, you know that is no easy task. I was utterly consumed by this story.
From completely unexpected twists and turns to shocking revelations, an unforgettable love, and ride-or-die friendships, this book had it all. I had no clue what direction this story was going to take and it was definitely fun trying to figure it all out. The complex world this author has created kept me on my toes and just keeps getting better and better. It is so unique and intriguing. I love all the fantasy elements and the amazing characters that fill the pages.
The War of Two Queens has left me completely and utterly spent. My emotions are all over the place in the best possible way and all I can think of is what an incredible ride this story has just taken me on. With each book, I fall deeper and deeper in love with Casteel and Poppy. Their story continues to leave me breathless with anticipation and feeling so much love. And while The War of Two Queens answered so many of my questions, in true fashion, it left me with a whole lot more.
The War of Two Queens is a heart-pounding and epic thrill ride that will leave readers glued to the pages and desperate for more. I can’t wait to see what this author has in store next for Poppy, Casteel, and friends.
