Review: The Rebound by Kendall Ryan

Title: The Rebound

Series: Looking to Score

By Kendall Ryan

Release Day: September 14, 2021

A smokin’ hot new standalone romance from New York Times bestseller, Kendall Ryan.

My coach hates me, and our team captain now watches my every move, so that’s super fun.

Which is why I’m trying something new—being a good guy. It might not be what I’m known for, but I’ll try anything once.

The part of this that’s not an act? Helping out my new neighbor Kinley. She’s beautiful, funny and newly single. (Score!)

There’s just one problem. She’s also the team captain’s sister.

There are rules about this kind of thing. But rules were made to be broken.

Contents include: A dreamy AF hero, a bad boy trying to be good, a good girl who likes him naughty, oh, and a bun in the oven.

MY REVIEW

A reformed bad boy with a heart of gold?! Sign me up please!!

The Rebound was just the book I was looking to spend my morning curled up with. The characters were fun and engaging. From the moment I met Saint and Kinley, I was hooked. Saint is the quintessential bad boy. The media loves him and can’t get enough of his antics. But, his team has had enough and is left with no choice but to suspend him. Now, his every move is watched and laying low is his only option. What he didn’t plan on was his new neighbor, Kinley. Kinley makes Saint forget the man he was and now his only mission is to be a man Kinley would be proud of.

I have to say, it was a lot of fun watching Kinley and Saint together. I loved seeing how much Saint’s character grew and how the right woman made him want to be a better man. The road to happily ever after wasn’t an easy one for these two by any means. Saint had quite the reputation that left Kinley wondering which Saint is the real one and it definitely didn’t help that her brother hated Saint’s guts! But, no matter what life threw at these two, they never gave up and I had the best time watching their story play out.

If I had to make one critique about this book, it would be the back and forth between Saint and Kinley as far as their relationship was concerned. While I felt it was important to see Kinley’s struggles with Saint’s past, I felt like she didn’t really give him a chance to explain himself or prove that he was a changed man. Otherwise, I think The Rebound is a solid reformed bad boy romance and an overall enjoyable read.

If you enjoy sweet and sexy romances with a reformed bad boy, you won’t want to miss The Rebound by Kendall Ryan!
