Falling in love with a Bennet is not an option.

My mother has summoned me home to take my place at Bower Bouquets, and as the heiress, I’m expected to do as I’m told. I’m expected to sit by her side as she does her best to decimate the Bennet family and their flower shop, Longbourne. I’m expected to play by her rules, or she’ll ruin me too.

But the day I crash into Marcus Bennet changes everything. And the kiss seals the deal. If my mother finds out, I’ll lose everything—my family, my life, my security. Worse, she’ll make sure the Bennets pay for my mistakes.

Falling in love with a Bennet is not an option.

But I might not have a choice.

“It was a kiss thick with hello and desperate with goodbye. It was a long and languid meeting of two people who would never be, a tasting determined to mark every sensation, to commit to memory. We were a twist, his hands roaming my back, my face, my hair. My hands learned the shape of his jaw, as hard and sure as it appeared. They memorized the feeling of his hair, thick and lush, ruffling under my fingertips. For that brief and fluttering span of time, nothing mattered in the whole world except for his lips and mine.”
Mum’s The Word is the 3rd book in the Bennet Brothers Series, but can be read and enjoyed as a stand-alone novel. Mum’s The Word follows the story of Maise and Marcus. Maise and Marcus meet by chance and the sparks between them are instant. It was like kismet, fate. Their two souls finding their other half. They left their encounter feeling on top of the world…until life threw an unexpected curveball at them. You see, a romance between these two could never be. The Bower’s & Bennet’s are mortal enemies. Maise would love nothing more than to live a life, free of her own choosing. But, when you’re a Bower, there are certain expectations to uphold. Maise had every intention of biding her time, but then Marcus came into her world and turned everything upside down……
Mum’s The Word is a fantastic addition to the Bennett Brothers Series. I loved the humorous moments and the forbidden romance quality. Marcus and Maise were two star crossed lovers. Their romance was never meant to be, but the spark that burned between them was impossible to ignore. Despite their families, Marcus and Maise were the perfect match. Two lonely, lost souls, just looking for a piece of happiness. Family meant the world to Marcus, but he had such faith in Maise. Somehow he knew that she wasn’t like her mother and was willing to give their connection a chance. I loved watching these two stumble through the ups and downs life threw at them. The fight between the families and the unexpected betrayal, the undeniable chemistry and steamy moments…All of those moments kept me on my toes and left me begging for more. I absolutely adored Maise and Marcus and couldn’t wait to see how their story would play out.
Mum’s The Word is a fabulous read, from beginning to end. If you’re like me, then you’ll want to just devour this book in a single sitting. The characters are fun, easy to relate to and will keep you entertained. Mrs. Bennet is such a wonderful secondary character. She’s so real and honest and owns up to her mistakes. She loves hard and nothing is more important to her than family. I loved catching up with familiar faces and seeing how each of them played a part in Marcus and Maise’s story. Overall, I thought Mum’s The Word was a terrific read. I had a wonderful time getting swept away in Marcus and Maise’s story. It was filled with family, lots of heart and a romance that just makes you feel good and is guaranteed to leave you with a smile on your face!

Everyone hates parts of their job.

Maybe it’s the paperwork. Maybe it’s the day-to-day grind. Maybe it’s that client who never knows what they want, or the guy who always cooks fish in the microwave.

But not me. I love every corner of the Longbourne Flower Shop, every flower, every petal, every stem. I love the greenhouse, and I love Mrs. Bennet, my boss. I love creating, and I love being a florist. I don’t hate anything at all.

Except for Luke Bennet.

The Bennet brothers have come home to help their mom save the flower shop, and Luke is at the helm. His smile tells a tale of lust, loose and easy. He moves with the grace of a predator, feral and wild. A thing unbridled, without rules or constraint. When he comes home to save Longbourne, I almost can’t be mad at him. Almost.

He doesn’t remember that night I’ll never forget. That kiss, touched with whiskey and fire. It branded me like a red-hot iron. But it meant nothing to him.

Everyone hates part of their job, and I hate Luke Bennet.

Because if I don’t, I’ll fall in love with him.

They say there’s no such thing as perfect.

But I’ve built my life to perfection—the perfect boyfriend, the perfect apartment, the perfect career planning celebrity weddings. My job—my only job—is to make sure every event is absolutely and completely perfect.

What’s not perfect? Kash Bennet.

And I wish I didn’t find that so appealing.

I could have told you every perfectly imperfect thing about the gardener at Longbourne. Like his hair, lush and black and far too long. Or his nose, the flat bridge of a Greek god, bent a little like it’s been broken. Or his size. Beastly. Roped and corded with muscles, gleaming with sweat and peppered with dirt. There’s no escaping him, not if I’m going to use his family’s flower shop for my events.

But nothing is what it seems. And in the span of a heartbeat, my perfect life is turned inside out. They say the best way to get over somebody is to get under somebody new. When Kash offers his services to the cause, it sounds like the perfect plan.

What’s not part of the plan? Falling in love with the gardener.

But they were right—there’s no such thing as perfect.

And I’m the fool who finds out the hard way.

Staci has been a lot of things up to this point in her life — a graphic designer, an entrepreneur, a seamstress, a clothing and handbag designer, a waitress. Can’t forget that. She’s also been a mom, with three little girls who are sure to grow up to break a number of hearts. She’s been a wife, though she’s certainly not the cleanest, or the best cook. She’s also super, duper fun at a party, especially if she’s been drinking whiskey. When she’s not writing, she’s reading, sleeping, gaming, or designing graphics.
