Review: Tossed Into Love (Fluke My Life #3) by Aurora Rose Reynolds

Posted on

Can the best of enemies become the hottest of lovers? New York Times bestselling author Aurora Rose Reynolds proves that opposites can be compatible—and twice as combustible…

Libby Reed is over it. Or that’s what she tells herself. She’s lusted after one of New York’s bravest for years, but firefighter Antonio Moretti has doused her interest for the last time. As much as she wants the arrogant jerk (in a bad, bad way), they can’t even be in the same room without setting each other off…which might be a problem now that she’s volunteered to help out in his family’s restaurant.

Antonio’s been burned before. Now he knows better than to trust a pretty face and follow another pair of long, beautiful legs into heartbreak. But while Libby might rub him the wrong way, he can’t deny the heat between them. And it only burns hotter when she steps up in his time of need. The closer they get, the more he realizes he may have misjudged her. Then again, he doesn’t know the secret Libby’s keeping that could send their relationship up in flames before it’s even begun.

My Review

“Love doesn’t always happen when we expect it to. It doesn’t always happen with fireworks and explosions. Sometimes it sneaks up on you silently, when you least expect it.”

Tossed Into Love is the third book in the Fluke My Life Series, but can be read as a stand-alone novel. Told from dual points of view, Tossed Into Love follows the story of Antonio and Libby. Libby has lusted over Antonio for years. She’s told herself time and time again that nothing will ever come of it, because while Libby may have the hots for Antonio, he is the biggest jerk that she’s ever met. And when his family is in crisis and Libby goes to help out, she is even more determined to keep things as they’ve always been….Antonio has been burned by love before and doesn’t trust anyone when it comes to his heart. He thinks he knows the kind of woman that Libby is, but he couldn’t be more wrong. But, when life throws an unexpected twist his way and Libby jumps into help, Antonio can no longer ignore the sparks between them. With tensions burning hotter than ever and a chemistry that can’t be denied, will Antonio and Libby finally have their chance?? There’s only one way to find out….

One thing I can always count on is Aurora Rose Reynolds giving me a swoon-worthy romance with delicious alpha goodness. And Tossed Into Love hit all those marks for me. It was sexy. It was sweet. It was swoon-worthy in one breath and frustrating in the next. I loved the enemies to lovers story line and found the chemistry between Antonio and Libby to be undeniable. I loved the push and pull between them. There was so much sexual tension, that I couldn’t wait for it to explode. I couldn’t wait for the moment when they would realize what has been in front of them the entire time.

Tossed Into Love is an insta-love, enemies to lovers romance that is perfect for spending the day getting lost in. I thought this book was well written and is definitely a story you can read in just one sitting. I really enjoyed the way this story played on romantic movies. I couldn’t help but smile at all the references. This story is light on the drama for the most part, but has just enough angst to keep this angst lover happy. And the characters are a lot of fun and easy to relate to. If you’re looking for an insta-love romance that’s a quick read and that will give you all the feels, look no further. I hope you’ll check out Tossed Into Love and fall in love with Libby and Antonio just as I did.
