Review: Broken Promise (Sons of Broad #3) by Tara Thomas

Posted on

In this next novel in the explosive, brand-new romantic suspense Sons of Broad series from Tara Thomas comes a novel of deadly secrets and hidden danger. In the sultry streets of Charleston, one family, ruled by its powerful, take-no-prisoners sons, has risen to the top. But a merciless enemy is out to destroy them…and everyone they hold close…

Charleston Police Officer Alyssa Adams made a promise years ago to protect innocent women from harm. Now, she won’t rest until she can reunite every lost daughter with her family. Bring closure to every grieving husband. And, most of all, find out what happened the night her own sister disappeared, more than ten years ago…

As the eldest of the Benedict brothers, Kipling will stop at nothing to protect his family from a threat that aims to destroy them once and for all. But when a long-lost sibling is kidnapped by a powerful adversary, Alyssa is the only one he can turn to to get her back.

As Alyssa and Kipling band together to find their lost siblings, a powerful attraction builds between them that they can’t ignore. As the truth comes to light, will one broken promise tear them apart?

My Review

What a fun, thrilling ride!!

Broken Promise is the third book in the Sons of Broad Series and can be read as a stand-alone novel. That being said, I highly recommend getting your hands on the previous books in this series and reading them first to have a better understanding of what has been going on in this series.

Just like the previous books in this series, Broken Promise hits the ground running and keeps you on the edge of your seat. Finally, all your burning questions will be answered and the identity of “The Gentleman” will be revealed.

Broken Promises is a great addition to the Sons of Broad Series. This story will suck you and keep you begging for more. I loved the pace of the story, the action and suspense. I loved trying to figure out what was going on and who the killer was. I loved all the twists along the way and the romance between Kipling and Alyssa. While their romance wasn’t the main focus of the story, I still couldn’t help but fall for these two. I thought they were great together. I think they had wonderful chemistry and just loved how these two challenged one another. They were a perfect balance and I think they made a solid team.

Overall, I thought this book was a really enjoyable read and I look forward to seeing what this author has in store for next!
