Blog Tour with Review: I Flipping Love You by Helena Hunting

Posted on

From New York Times bestselling author Helena Hunting comes I Flipping Love You, a love story about flipping houses, taking risks, and landing that special someone who’s move-in ready.

Rian Sutter grew up with the finer things in life. Spending summers in the Hamptons was a normal occurrence for her until her parents lost everything years ago. Now Rian and her sister are getting their life, and finances, back on track through real estate. Not only do they buy and sell houses to the rich and famous but they finally have the capital to flip their very own beachfront property. But when she catches the attention of a sexy stranger who snaps up every house from under her, all bets are off…

Pierce Whitfield doesn’t normally demo kitchens, install dry wall, or tear apart a beautiful woman’s dreams. He’s just a down-on-his-luck lawyer who needed a break from the city and agreed to help his brother work on a few homes in the Hamptons. When he first meets Rian, the attraction is undeniable. But when they start competing for the same pieces of prime real estate, the early sparks turn into full-blown fireworks. Can these passionate rivals turn up the heat on their budding romance—without burning down the house?

My Review

“I want to fucking consume you,” he groans into my mouth.

“The desire is visceral, a shimmer in the air, a heat in my veins, and a fire in his eyes. That is what wanting someone is. This is the pinnacle of desperate attraction. This is the chemical reaction that ignites and burns until there’s nothing left but ash. This insatiable craving is why people ignore a two out of ten on a compatibility test.”

“We’re like two trains on the same track, heading for each other. A collision is imminent. But I can’t find it in me to care.”

I Flipping Love You is a sexy and fun read. From the moment I picked it up, I was 100% hooked. I could not put it down. The meet cute between Rian and Pierce had me laughing so much. Who knew that a case of mistaken identity would take you on one of the best rides. From exciting banter to explosive and insane chemistry, I just couldn’t get enough. The push and pull between Pierce and Rian was one of the most intense that I have experienced. Fate just kept bringing this unlikely pair together and left me begging for more. I mean, these two were the perfect match whether they wanted to admit it or not. The tension was so real, so palpable that I couldn’t help but burn through the pages to see how things would turn out between the two of them.

Not only was the chemistry great, but I loved the side characters as well. I would love to see more of Marley and Lawson. They both intrigued me and added some great tension to the overall story. I loved how real both Rian and Pierce were. I found them both easy to connect with and I loved that despite how much money Pierce had, he was never over the top about it. And I loved seeing how far Rian had come. She didn’t let her past ruin her.

I Flipping Love You was a fun and laugh out loud romantic comedy. From hilarious banter to embarrassing moments, to moments that made your heart swoon; I Flipping Love You was a total hit for me and I enjoyed every single moment of it.
