Release Blitz with Review: Bro Code by Kendall Ryan

Posted on

From New York Times bestselling author Kendall Ryan comes a flirty new standalone about falling for your older brother’s best friend.

There’s pretty much only one rule when you’re a guy.

Don’t be a douche.

Turns out, the fastest way to break that rule is to fall for your best friend’s sister.

Ava’s brilliant, sharp-tongued, gorgeous, and five years younger than me.

She’s the sexual equivalent of running with scissors. In a word, she’s dangerous. And completely off-limits.

Falling for her could ruin everything.

Yet I can’t seem to stop, even when her company is threatened by a lawsuit, and my promotion hinges on representing the opposing client—and winning.

I can’t see a way out of this mess that doesn’t end in a broken friendship, a broken heart, or a ruined career.

I may have broken the bro code when I fell for Ava. But do I have the balls to handle what comes next?

My Review

“Absence makes the heart grow fonder, and apparently it also turns the cool, older guy I dreamed about having my first kiss with into the best-looking man I’ve ever seen.”

“He kisses just like he does everything else–confidently and with the skill of a man who knows exactly what he wants.”

I just loved everything about this book!! Bro Code is the ultimate friends to lovers/forbidden romance and was exactly the read I was looking for.

Told from dual points of view, Bro Code follows the story of Ava and Barrett. Family means everything to Ava, so when her father is unable to continuing working, she takes over the family business. And in doing so, Ava finds herself living back home. The one thing she never planned on when returning home, was running into Barrett. Barrett is the guy that has always been on her mind. She’s crushed on him for many years, but never acted on her feelings. So, when her brother invites Barrett to come stay at their house for a few days, Ava’s world is totally knocked off its axis. The tension between these two is hotter than ever. Sparks are literally flying all over the place. The only problem is, they are off limits to one another. Will Ava and Barrett give into to their overwhelming chemistry and will they let a little thing called the “bro code” keep them apart? There’s only one way to find out….

Man, oh man did I enjoy this book! I devoured it in just a few short hours. I fell head over heels for Ava and Barrett and couldn’t get enough of these two together. The tension and chemistry just oozed off the pages and kept me begging for more. I loved all the heated looks and chance moments. And the fact that they shouldn’t act on their feelings made their secret moments even hotter. From sexy and fun banter to hotter than ever moments, Ava and Barrett kept me on my toes and had me dying to see how their story would play out next.

Bro Code was a terrific read from beginning to end. The story-line was smart and sexy and filled with emotion. I loved all the little moments and angsty ones in between. The characters were real, flawed and easy to relate to. Their story was filled with just the right amount of drama, laughter, forbidden moments and sexy ones too. I loved the little angst filled moments and the ones that tugged at your heart too. There was so much to love and enjoy about this book. I couldn’t think of a better way to spend my morning than just devouring this book.
