Review: Follow Me Back by A.L. Jackson

The next seductive, unforgettable stand-alone romance in the FIGHT FOR ME series from NYT & USA Today Bestselling Author A.L. Jackson . . .

Kale Bryant. Arrogant. Gorgeous. Commanding.

This ER doctor is married to his job. His only vice is one-night stands and short-lived flings. He learned a long time ago loving someone isn’t worth the risk.

Harley Hope Masterson. Beautiful. Brave. Sweet.

The owner of a small coffee shop knows what it’s like to struggle. Embroiled in a bitter divorce, she’s threatened with losing everything.

When Kale accepts a new position down the street from Hope’s shop, he begins to question every wall he’s built around his heart.

He wants her in a way he hasn’t wanted anyone.

One touch is fire.

One kiss, and he’s spinning out of control.

But taking her won’t come without consequences.

Hope is in for the fight of her life. One neither of them saw coming.

Now Kale must decide if loving her is worth risking it all.

She will fight with everything she has.

But sometimes even hope needs a hero . . .

My Review

“For a second, I lost my footing. Lost ground. Lost sanity. Because just looking at her felt like something profound.”

“Kale sent me one of those smiles that blasted through me with the power of a hurricane. Annihilating. Exhilarating. Because when Kale Bryant looked at me that way? I felt as if I were the only person in the world.”

“My insides clenched almost painfully. Something that beautiful was hard to take in. The bond they shared. How was it possible I was goddamned terrified of it and drawn to it at the same time?”

“My heart has always been hung on hope.”

OMG! That ending!!! That ending just gutted me. Gutted me in the best possible way. The tears will not stop. They just will not stop.  That was the best possible way to end a book!

Follow Me Back is so much more than a love story. It is story of hope. It is a story of family. It is a story of strength and devotion. It is a story of a mother’s love. A love so strong, there is nothing she wouldn’t do for her son. Nothing she wouldn’t hide. Nothing she would ever stop fighting for….

When we first meet Kale, he is the doctor who appears to have it all. He’s cocky, arrogant and sexy as ever. But, there is more to Kale than meets the eyes. Behind the cocky exterior is a man who is lost. A man who knows the love of a good one woman and is terrified to put his heart on the line again. Meeting Hope is a total game-changer for Kale. No matter how hard he tries to stay away, he can’t fight the pull…Hope is one of the most loving and devoted people you will ever meet. Nothing and I mean nothing means more to this one than her miracle little boy. Stuck in a never ending nightmare divorce, Hope prays that one day, her ex will sign those papers. What she never planned on though was meeting Kale. Kale makes her breathe easy. He makes her want things that she’s not ready to have; a life she can only dream of living. No matter how hard she tries, she can’t deny the pull she feels for Kale….

Follow Me Back is a breathtaking second chance romance. Follow Me Back is so incredibly well written. It is a story that will consume you. It will take your emotions through the ringer and leave you with all the feels. Follow Me Back is an emotional story of hope, faith, loss and love. It is a story that will consume you and have you devouring the pages. A.L. Jackson has once again delivered an unforgettable second chance romance that will tug at your heart, make you believe in happy endings and never stop fighting for what matters the most. This story was absolutely amazing and I loved every second of it.
