LIVING OUT LOUD, the next in Staci Hart’s Austen Series, is LIVE! I adored this modern love story inspired by Jane Austen’s Sense & Sensibility. Everything about this book had me smiling and swooning! Hart takes us back to the world of Wasted Words and gives us a love story you will not soon forget!
When Annie Daschle arrives in New York City, the only thing she can control is her list.
Not her father’s death or the loss of her home. Not the hole in her heart or the defective valve that’s dictated so much of her life. But she can put pen to paper to make a list of all the ways she can live out loud, just like her dad would have wanted.
See the city from the top of the Empire State Building: Check.
Eat hot dogs on the steps of The Met: Check.
Stand in the middle of Times Square: Check.
Get a job at Wasted Words: Check.
Two things not on her list: Greg Brandon and Will Bailey. And just like that, she finds herself caught in the middle of something she can’t find her way out of, with no clear answers and no rules.
List or no list, she realizes she can’t control anything at all, not even her heart.
Not the decisions it makes, and not the moment it stops.

“My life was just a single heartbeat in the life of the universe.”
“I was fucked, and in the moment, I didn’t even have the good sense to realize it.”
“Mine. It was stupid and archaic, savage even, but the instinct was deep and automatic. That single word sang unbidden from my heart at the mere thought of her with another man. Maybe it was because part of me was already hers. Any choice I had to the contrary had long passed, if there had ever been a choice.“
More Wasted Words?! Yes please! Ever since Greg’s character was introduced, I have been waiting for him to get his own story. He is one of the sweetest, best guys ever and I couldn’t wait to see him get his happily ever after. So, when Living Out Loud ended up on my kindle, I dropped everything and dove head first into Greg’s story.
Living Out Loud had me from page one. From the moment I dove into Annie and Greg’s story, I just knew it was going to special, I mean hello, it is a part of The Wasted Words Series!! Of course it was going to knock my socks off. And let me tell you, it totally did. Living Out Loud is a book of firsts and of second chances. It is a story of living and making most out of your time. It is a story of letting go of your fears and experiencing new things; of not being afraid to live out loud.
Annie is one of those characters that just steals your heart instantly. She is so fun and has the best outlook on life, despite the cards she has been handed. Her happiness is contagious and you can’t help but want to surround yourself with her light. You just want to try to make all of her dreams come true. And Greg….He didn’t stand a chance when Annie ran into him. He is one of the best guys you will ever meet and there isn’t anything he wouldn’t do for those he cares out. He tried to fight the feelings had for Annie, but a connection like theirs was meant to be explored. I adored their friendship and the burn between them. All the small and big moments made their story completely worth wild.
Living Out Loud was a fabulous read from beginning to end. Staci Hart is the queen of swoon worthy and unforgettable words. No one and I mean no one does romance and Jane Austen retellings quite like this author. And Living Out Loud is no exception. It was well written and entertaining. It is a story about putting others happiness ahead of your own. It is a story of love and friendship. It is a story of moments and how they have the power to change everything….
Living Out Loud is an amazing addition to the Wasted Words Series and was totally, 100% worth the wait!
*I was provided an ARC copy of this book, in exchange for an honest review*
Staci has been a lot of things up to this point in her life — a graphic designer, an entrepreneur, a seamstress, a clothing and handbag designer, a waitress. Can’t forget that. She’s also been a mom, with three little girls who are sure to grow up to break a number of hearts. She’s been a wife, though she’s certainly not the cleanest, or the best cook. She’s also super, duper fun at a party, especially if she’s been drinking whiskey. When she’s not writing, she’s reading, sleeping, gaming, or designing graphics.
