Release Blitz with Review: If Love Was Fair by Savannah Stewart

Title: If Love Was Fair
Author: Savannah Stewart
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Release Date: December 12, 2017

Life wasn’t fair…and I’d learned that on far too many occasions.

Arbor Kenton had one goal, to flee the toxicity of her hometown. She’d thrown a dart at a map and decided wherever it landed she would move without hesitation.

One night was all she had left before she’d hit the road and never look back. But little did she know just how life altering that night would be.

I know I can’t ask you to stay, and you wouldn’t ask me to leave.

Colin Banks was an aspiring musician traveling from town to town looking for his big break.

One night in a new town would end up shaking the once firm foundation of his dreams. What he didn’t foresee is what that night would end up meaning to him.

If love was fair, so much would be different.

My Review

“Losing someone is a heartache that flairs up whenever it wants. You can’t stop it, you can’t pretend it isn’t there; you have to allow it to run its course or drown out the pain with medication.”

“We were two messy souls standing in that empty room. Two souls that needed mending.”

If Love Was Fair was a heartwarming second chance romance.

When we first meet up with Arbor, she wants nothing more than to leave the small town life behind her. On her last night in town, she meets the handsome Colin and he totally turns her whole world upside down. That one incredible night made her wish for things and for a different path. But, her mind was made up, she would leave the small town life behind….Many years later, Arbor has an amazing job and a terrific roommate. She’s making the most out of her life, but has never truly been able to move past Colin. When fate offers Arbor another chance, only time will tell if she will think with her heart this time and not with her head…

Overall, I thought this book was a quick and enjoyable read. Definitely one that you can finish in just one sitting. I thought this story was well written and enjoyed the plot. The characters were fun and real and very easy to connect with. My heart went out to Arbor as she went on her journey. Not only did she have to find herself, but she also had a lot of baggage to deal with. Her journey wasn’t an easy one and at times frustrated me, but her journey was totally worth it in the end.

If Love Was Fair is a great second chance romance that will warm and touch your heart. This story will entertain you with the lovable characters and playful banter. It will pull at your heart with the heartbreaking and tough moments. It will make you swoon and fall in love and most of all, believe in second chances. I loved the message behind the story; that love isn’t easy. At times it’s messy and complicated and makes your heart ache. And that in the end, real love is always worth the fight… This is my first book by this author and I’m excited to check out more from her in the future.
