Every choice you make in life comes with a consequence.
I was once on top, I was the professional boxer to be afraid of. I had everything I could possibly hope for. I was happy, satisfied, content . . . until one night.
One off day.
One wrong reaction.
I killed a man. The sound, the blood, the stagnant air, it’s forever imprinted in my mind and now dictates the way I live my life.
Desolate with nothing but my penance to pay, I didn’t expect to have my world flipped upside down when Lyla seductively strutted into my life.
I want her. I need her. I crave her.
But I don’t deserve her.
People like to celebrate the day they were born, I like to celebrate the day my soul died.
This is my story of repentance.
To say I am completely addicted to this series would be a complete and total understatement. I have been captivated and intrigued by this series ever since I got my hands on Bourbon Sins. So when I finished that series and found out that Kace was finally getting his own book in Bourbon Truths, well, I just had to get my hands on his story. And boy! Kace’s story was everything that I wanted it to be.
I don’t know about you guys, but I have been waiting rather impatiently to get to know Kace. There was just something about his character that drew me in. I was so intrigued by him and wanted to know more about his past. My heart ached for him. I wanted to know what made him tick and I desperately wanted to see him have his happily ever after…
Bourbon Truths picks up right where Bourbon Kingdom left off, only this time the story follows Lyla and Kace. Kace was such a complex and wounded man. And Lyla totally gave him a run for his money. I loved the banter between the two of them. The push and pull was just fantastic. I was excited to see what Lyla would bring out in him. I knew that if he could find a woman who could handle him and love him the way that he needed, that it would just be amazing…
Bourbon Truths was a fantastic addition to this series. I enjoyed every minute of Kace and Lyla’s story and could not be more thrilled to have finally been able to experience it. What a fantastic read!
