“Witty, sexy as all hell, and addictive like no other, Staci Hart BRINGS IT with Bad Penny.”
-T.M. Frazier, USA Today Bestselling Author
Bad Penny, an all-new romantic comedy standalone from Staci Hart is now LIVE!
Nothing good comes after the third date.
See, date three is the crucial point when things get real, which is exactly why I bounce out the door, twiddling my fingers at whatever poor boy I’ve left behind. Because if I stick around, one of three things will happen: he’ll profess his undying love, he gets weird and stalky, or I’ll go crazy. Like, Sid and Nancy crazy. Like, chase-him-through-the-streets-begging-him-to-love-me crazy.
Seriously, it’s better for everyone this way.
So when I meet Bodie, I figure it’ll be the same as it ever was. It doesn’t matter that he doesn’t put a single string on me. Doesn’t matter that he’s funny and smart and jacked and can play my body like a grand piano. Because even though I’m built for love, love has only carved me up like a Christmas ham.
Resistance is something I can only hang on to for so long, and he has persistence in spades. But my heart isn’t as safe as I want to believe, and neither is his. And the second I ignore my cardinal rule is the second I stand to lose him forever.

“She’s got her own gravity, and it’s so hard not to want to know her, want to orbit her, even just for a minute. When she walks into a room, everyone turns to look.”
“Penny’s like a wild pony; she’s beautiful and untamed and completely free. Free from the tethers of judgement, free from being controlled, contained. She lives one day at a time, doing exactly what she wants, accepting her consequences without a single care for what anyone else thinks.”
“I wasn’t just hungry for his body. I was hungry for his heart and soul. I wanted all of him. I just hoped I could hold onto him without it breaking me.”
Bad Penny is beautifully written and is a story filled with humor and a lot of heart.
From the moment we are first introduced to Penny, you just know that you are in for a real treat. Penny is full of life, but afraid of love. Thanks to a horrible ex, Penny lives her life by the motto: “Nothing good happens after the third date.” She is strong, independent and has no plans to change her ways. She’s happy with the status quo. That is until one unforgettable trip to the ice cream parlor. She runs into a man that is going to completely turn her world upside down and make her want to throw all of her reservations out of the window. But, being Penny isn’t easy. She guards her heart and is afraid to let anyone get close, but if Bodie can play the game, he just might stand a chance and break down all of Penny’s walls….
Bad Penny had me from the very first page. I was sucked into Penny’s story and was dying to hear more. Penny is the girl that is impossible to not fall for. She’s an amazing and hilarious friend with an outgoing personality. She is a force to be reckoned with and it is impossible to not be pulled toward her gravity. I loved watching her character grow and attempt to navigate her way through life. She had a lot of relationship issues to overcome, but if anyone was up to the task, it was Bodie. Bodie…He was just perfection. So darn patient and understanding. He’s always known Penny was something special and would do anything to keep her. He is swoon worthy and not afraid to go after what he wants. The two of them together are just dynamite!
Staci Hart definitely hit it out of the park with Bad Penny. This book was a lot of fun, and entertaining. The characters were real and very easy to connect with. I loved all their interactions and honestly couldn’t get enough of Penny and Bodie. This book had just the right mix of romance, drama, laughs and of course sexy good times. A terrific read and one that I definitely recommend checking out.

About the Author
Staci has been a lot of things up to this point in her life — a graphic designer, an entrepreneur, a seamstress, a clothing and handbag designer, a waitress. Can’t forget that. She’s also been a mom, with three little girls who are sure to grow up to break a number of hearts. She’s been a wife, though she’s certainly not the cleanest, or the best cook. She’s also super, duper fun at a party, especially if she’s been drinking whiskey.
From roots in Houston to a seven year stint in Southern California, Staci and her family ended up settling somewhere in between and equally north, in Denver. They are new enough that snow is still magical. When she’s not writing, she’s reading, sleeping, gaming, or designing graphics.
