Sage Mayson had Kimberly Cullen once, and the memory of that brief encounter has tortured him since the moment he pushed her away. He should have followed his gut, but he didn’t, and now he’s left watching the woman he wants more than anything from afar.

Kimberly vowed to protect her heart from Sage, but when her sister is murdered and her world starts to fall apart, he’s the one person she finds herself leaning on.

Getting a second chance is something Sage knows is rare. He’s not going to squander the one he’s been given, and he won’t take no for an answer when it comes to making Kim his.

But what Sage doesn’t know is Kim has a secret that could leave them both devastated and heartbroken.

My Review

“Science says it only takes four minutes to fall in love with someone. I didn’t believe that was true, until I met Sage Mayson.”

“I had forgotten what it’s like to have him kiss me. I forgot that it feels like the world around me has disappeared, leaving nothing but him and me.”

“We’re not friends, if you haven’t figured that out by now, I’ve still got work to do. It’s my job to take care of you. I didn’t do any of that shit out of kindness. I did it because I look out for mine. And make no mistake about it, baby, you are mine.”

“He has the ability to become the sun I so desperately need in order to survive, and I’m afraid if I allow myself to feel all that warmth, when he’s gone, I won’t be able to live in the shadows.”

I don’t know about you guys, but I can’t help but get excited when I hear that Aurora Rose Reynolds has a new book coming out. I am addicted to the BOOM. I want it. I crave it. I need it. So, when I got my hands on Until Sage, I couldn’t wait to dive in. I didn’t know what to expect, but I knew one thing for certain, I was ready for the BOOM!

Told from dual points of view, Until Sage follows the story of Sage and Kim. Sage and Kim had the connection that most people could only hope for. Sage thought the BOOM was a myth, but being around Kim for just one moment, had him second guessing everything. Yes, Sage and Kim’s connection was instant and hot. It was everything that Kim ever dreamed of until a most unfortunate misunderstanding happened. Sage refused to hear the truth and left Kim with a broken heart….Now many months late, Sage finally lets the truth sink in. He messed up…He messed up BIG. If he can get Kim to forgive him, he may finally have everything he never knew he wanted. Sage knows that second chances don’t come easy, but is prepared to do whatever it takes to win Kim’s heart. Will Kim and Sage get a second chance on love and the BOOM? Will Kim’s secret destroy everything that Kim and Sage have worked so hard for?? You are just going to have to pick this baby up and find out for yourself….

Until Sage was a fabulous read. It hit the ground running and kept at a steady and strong pace throughout. I loved the story-line and the characters. It’s no secret that I am addicted to the Mayson family and especially their alpha males. I loved watching Sage experience the BOOM and seeing the alpha male that he became. He fell in love with Kim quickly, but was totally devoted to her. Sure, he made some colossal mistakes along the way and could have handled a few situations better, but he’s a man. He’s not perfect. He’s going to screw up. It’s admitting that you’ve screwed up and working hard to fix it that counts. And I gotta tell you, Sage does not disappoint! And Kim! This poor girl! Life has dealt her some pretty tough hands, making her guard her heart fiercely. She loves deeply and really cares about those who are lucky enough to penetrate her walls. Seeing her fall in love with Sage was an amazing thing. He was just what she needed in her life and worship her beyond her wildest dreams.

I really enjoyed Until Sage. Aurora Rose Reynolds never disappoints with the BOOM and her alpha males. This story was well written and I greedily devoured it in just a few short hours. I loved the angst. I loved the drama. And I certainly loved the romance. Until Sage was a terrific read and I loved every single second of it. I look forward to seeing who gets claimed by the BOOM next!

EXCERPT

“He apologized. Don’t you think you should do the polite thing and at least hear him out?”
“I don’t know.”
“You don’t know, or you’re just too scared to find out what will happen if you do?”
“Do we have to do this right now?” I sigh, and he tosses his arm around my shoulders and pulls me into his side.
“We’ve been doing this for months now. I’ve seen the way you look at him when you think no one will notice, and I see the way he looks at you, not giving a fuck if everyone sees. Even when he thought you and I were a thing, he still made it perfectly clear to those who were watching that if by some chance he got a shot, you would be his.”
“I really think you are reading way too much into this.”
“Am I?”
