Review: Lost in Between (Finding Me #1) by K.L. Kreig

lostinbetweenWe all have one.

A price.

That magic number that will get us to agree to do anything, be anything.

Don’t sit on your gold-plated high horse and say you don’t because you do. Everyone does. Each of us has something we covet enough that we’d sell ourselves to have it.

What’s my tipping point, you ask? Apparently a cool quarter mil will do the trick.

What does one do for 250 large, you wonder? Anything the infamous, gorgeous playboy of Seattle wants. For the next four months I’ll be Shaw Mercer’s arm candy, his beck and call girl, his faux girlfriend. I’ll be his to command, mold, push and pull in any direction he sees fit.

I’ll fight falling into bed with him. I’ll fight falling in love with him even harder. I’ll fail at both. And when my past and present collide in the most unexpected of ways, I’ll learn that while one man’s love for me has never died, the only man’s love I really want will never be mine.

*If dirty-talking, dominant alphas are not your thing, move along. Mature, 18+ only. Book 1 in a 2-part duet.

My Review

My words are simple but ruthless. Said with purpose. They are intended to would. Cut ties.”

“Shaw’s presence  is commanding, absolute. A force to be reckoned with. So, I expect him to claim, own, invade. But he doesn’t. He takes him time, imprinting me instead. Slowly branding me as promised, drawing my bottom lip between his before doing the same to the bottom.”

“This is not about the rush of finally getting something just out of reach. She is different from any other woman I’ve met. There is just something about her that whispers to me. It sounds suspiciously like mine.”

Oh, man! What a fantastic read. From the moment you pick up this book and read the prologue, you are sucked in. Your curiosity is peaked and questions are already forming. Flash forward to the present. Willow is trying to start over with her life and take care of her mother. She would do anything for her family, even taking jobs that she doesn’t want to. The one thing she never planned on or saw coming was Shaw. From the moment Shaw crashed into Willow’s car, their path was forever changed. Despite the damage to her car, Willow couldn’t deny the pull she felt towards Shaw. And when an opportunity of a life time presents itself to Willow and Shaw, everything these two though they knew or wanted will fly out of the window.

I have to say, one of the first things that drew me into this story was the Pretty Woman esq story-line. I love, love, love fake relationship romances and I could not help myself from devouring this one. Lost in Between was written and captivating. I thought the story-line was executed well and found myself unable to put this book down. The characters were a lot of fun. They were real, entertaining and easy to connect with. I couldn’t get enough of Shaw and Willow together. Their chemistry was amazing and completely off the charts. I thought they had great push and pull and I loved the alpha side that Willow brought out in Shaw. Seeing Shaw fall was pretty fascinating to me. I loved seeing him go through the motions and fight for what he wanted.

Lost in Between is the first book in the Finding Me Duet and if this book is any indication of what is to come, I can not wait for more. I loved everything about this book from start to finish. It was filled with lots of delicious, naughty and blush worthy sexy good times. There was also no shortage of swoon worthy and romantic moments. But there was also a great story-line and characters that you wanted to know more about. And I loved the air of mystery that surrounded the story in the end. I can not wait to get my hands on the conclusion of this story and see how this story unravels itself. I have a feeling it is going to take me on one crazy ride.

*I was provided an ARC copy of this book, in exchange for an honest review*
