Handcuffs aren’t just part of their job in this sizzling new standalone novel by USA
Today bestselling author, Stacey Kennedy.

Veteran cop, Maddox Hunt, is all about the job. Sure, there are women—lots of women,
truth be told—but there’s no one special. Until a one-night stand from his
past, rookie Joss O’Neil is assigned to his division. Suddenly, all he can
think about is her. The scent of her. The taste of her.

Fresh out of field training, Joss has thrown herself into her job, determined to
kick-start her career. And while police work has its thrills, her gorgeous new
boss is what really gets her pulse pounding. Too bad he’s nothing but a
distraction. Especially since he’s as devastatingly handsome as she remembers,
and his sexy smile arrests her heart.
Now that Joss is back in Maddox’s life, he has a plan: satisfy her fantasies and fulfill
his every dark desire. Nothing is off limits. Her pleasure is the endgame . . .
but even the best-laid plans have a way of falling apart. Despite his best
attempts to keep his distance and have things remain only about the pleasure,
Maddox soon finds himself breaking the only law he’s set for himself.
 Don’t fall in love.

My Review

“He wasn’t entirely sure what it is about this girl exactly, but she pushed at all of his basic instincts. Pursue. Claim. Protect.”

“This girl didn’t only make him want to break his rules. She made him want to abolish them.”

Heartbreaker was a quick, sexy and fun read. From the moment I met Joss and Maddox, I was pulled into their story. The two of them had amazing, explosive chemistry. The two of them burned up the pages together. Joss was the girl who had be wronged by love and was just looking for a little fun. Maddox was the guy who only gave a woman one night of his time. But when Maddox met Joss, something about her just clicked. One night would never be enough. Before Maddox even realizes it, Joss will become the girl that he is willing and wanting to break all of the rules for.

Heartbreaker is a scorching hot and entertaining read. I loved the relationship between Maddox and Joss. You just knew that the two of them would never be ok with a no-strings type of relationship, but I gotta tell you, I enjoyed watching the two of them fall. Seeing Maddox fall was the best for me. Despite all of his rules and fear of relationships, he couldn’t fight the pull that he felt for Joss. She not only challenged him, but she made him want things that terrified him. I loved seeing his alpha side come out and I loved seeing him push Joss’ boundaries.

Overall, I thought this was a really great read. It was sexy, fun and entertaining. This story was incredibly well written and a story that is impossible to put down. Simply put, I enjoyed the heck out of it and can not wait to read more in this series!
