Preppy finds himself back in a world he once loved, but no longer recognizes. His dim smile can’t hide his inner turmoil and the people he views as family all suddenly feel like polite strangers.
Except for one person. A girl with dark eyes and even darker hair.
A girl who isn’t even an option.
At least, not anymore.
Dre can’t decide who she’s going to listen to. Her heart, her head, or her body. Because two out of those three things have her heading right back to Logan’s Beach. Closure is what she tells herself she’s seeking, but when she unlocks doors that were never meant to be opened she soon discovers that when it comes to Samuel Clearwater, closure might NEVER be an option.
This is book six in the King Series and the second part of Preppy and Dre’s story.
“When faced with the fucking end of my life, I spit in the reaper’s face. Because my name is Samuel Clearwater, and I take orders from no one. Not even death.”
“I didn’t give a shit about the pain. Not anymore. Pain wasn’t exactly a new thing for me. However, freedom was. Feeling free from the anger. From the regret. Free from not caring if I could ever be the person I was before all the shit went down.”
What an exciting and thrilling addition to this series. I don’t know about you guys, but after the way the last book ended, I needed to know more. I had tons of questions and desperately needed all the answers. And let me tell you, this book does not disappoint. This book is dark. This book is complicated. This book will keep you guessing and wondering which end is up. If there is one character I can not get enough of, it is Samuel Clearwater.
Preppy: Part 2 gave me everything that I could have possibly wanted and more. I am purposely being vague because as a fan of this series, I can honestly tell you that this story, this series needs to be entered into blindly. I promise you won’t regret it. This book hooked me from beginning to end and after another crazy, crazy ending, I can imagine what Preppy: Part 3 is going to have in store for us!
