He was my best friend, my best not-really-big-brother, and my best protector.
He was my best everything.
He was mine.
Coming home is hard for Lane. Hard because Harry, her beloved uncle, has died suddenly, but also because of him. Kale.
Kale Hunt has been her best friend since childhood. But it was never that simple. He was Lane’s reason for leaving home and moving to New York. Seeing him with someone else, in love with someone else, shouldn’t have hurt. But it did. It really, really did. So she upped sticks and left, started a new life and cut herself off from her past.
But now she’s back, and all the feelings are right there. As if she had never left.
Emotions are running high for everyone, and tragedy has a funny way of bringing people together. But is Lane reading the signs right? Are they still just friends, or is there something more?
“He called me his. Kale said I was his Lane. I shook my head at that because I wasn’t his. You could never belong to someone without owning a piece of him or her in return, and I’d learned the hard way that I didn’t own any part of Kale. I had a memory of what owning him was like, but that was it. And that memory was fading fast.”
“Life throws curve balls at you, Laney Baby. There will always be something unexpected. We just have to pick up the pieces the ball smashes and try to put them back together.”
This book….So. Many. Emotions right now. It has been a long time and I mean a very long time, since I have read such an angst filled story. And let me tell you, I LOVE angst. To me, there is nothing better than a well written, angst filled romance and Until Harry has totally blown me away.
From the moment I started reading Until Harry, I just knew I was in for a treat. My eyes were glued to the pages. My jaw sore from clenching it so tightly. My heart ached and was pulled into so many directions. The writing completely captivated me, leaving me no choice but to devour each word. I could not put this book down. I read until my eyes hurt and had to force myself to finish it the next day. This is one of those books that you will be still thinking about, long after THE END.
Until Harry is well written and heart-breaking. It is a story of pain and loss. It is a story about losing yourself and the lengths you go to put yourself back together again. This is a story of family and long lasting friendship. This is a story of love and missed chances. This is a story of being granted a second chance and not letting it go. Until Harry is everything and more. It has exceeded my expectations and has taken me on such an emotional ride…And, I loved every second of it. I loved every single angst filled, gut wrenching, pick up the broken pieces moment and could not have been happier with the way things turned out.
Until Harry was an amazing read and look forward to reading more from this author in the future.
