I’ve always been lost . . .
Abandoned by a father who didn’t want me. Cherished by a stepfather, though I wasn’t his. Shattered by a boy who swore he loved me.
But I belonged nowhere, to no one.
Then I met Owen, the sweet-talking hockey player who made me love him. He gave me the courage to trust in someone besides myself. He showed me a love I longed for.
When an unwanted ghost comes knocking on my door, my heartbreaking history threatens to repeat itself. But where do I turn if I lose everyone? And how do I find where I belong, when I’m still Finding Me?
Finding Me is a spinoff from the Second Chances series and can be read as a standalone.

“All I saw–all I wanted–was Bella. She consumed me that much. What the hell was happening to me? My need for her was primal, blinding and frightening as hell. Ethan was right, I was never like this with anyone else.”
“I’m not going anywhere. I’m yours, whether or not you choose to believe that right now. And you will. I don’t quit easily, and when it comes to you, I don’t quit at all.”
This is one of the toughest reviews that I’ve had to write because I am speechless. I am an emotional mess and am just at such a loss of words. This story hit really close to home for me. I can totally relate to Bella and her story touched my heart so deeply. I can only hope that my words and thoughts can show you just how much this book has affected me….
It’s no secret that I love Stephanie Rose’s writing. I have been a fan of her books for quite some time now and I have to tell you that she is one of those one-click, I don’t need to read the synopsis, auto-buy authors for me. Her books and her words always find a way to burrow and climb inside my heart. They find a way to absolutely captivate me and become a part of me. And Finding Me was no exception…..
Told from dual points of view, Finding Me follows the story of Bella and Owen. When I first found out that Bella was getting her own story, I was over the moon. Bella captured my heart, over a year ago when I first met her in Always You. So, to see her grown up and getting to tell her story and discover life….well, I couldn’t have been more excited for it. And Bella’s story did not let me down. Her story was filled with heartache and frustration. Her story made me laugh and believe in second chances. Her story showed me that biology doesn’t always mean everything. That sometimes there are people in your life, who maybe aren’t your blood, that can make all the difference and mold you into the person you are meant to be. But, most of all, Bella’s story made me fall in love. When you meet Owen, you will understand. There was no way that you could not fall in love with him. He’s sweet and caring and not afraid to go after what he wants. He’s got a dash of alpha and just what Bella needs in her life.
Finding Me is not just a second chance romance. It is so much more. This is a story about family–the family that you choose to make and call your own. Lucas may not have been Bella’s father by blood, but he was her father in every single way that counts. There’s a part in the ending where Bella tells Lucas that he’s still her superman and it reminded me of a quote from Always You—“Superheros need a girl they can save, so she can save them right back.” It reminded me of everything that Bella’s mom and Lucas fought for in Always You and how Lucas will always be there for Bella and ready to save her, when she needs saving.
Finding Me is also a story about finding yourself and grabbing onto life and love with both hands. This is a story about letting go of the past and the people from it that cause you nothing but heartache. This is a story about the purest kind of love. The kind of love that you know can weather any storm; that can overcome any obstacle thrown your way. The kind of love that you will fight for with everything that you have. The kind of love that will leave you with a smile on your face and tears in your eyes, because you are just so damn happy with the way things have worked out.
There is nothing left for me to say, other than I loved this book. Finding You exceeded my expectations and I know that Bella and Owen’s story will be staying with me for a long time to come. I can not wait to see what journey Stephanie Rose will take me on next. I highly recommend checking out this book/this series. It is one that should not be missed.

I couldn’t quite make eye contact with Ethan since the last time I came back to the apartment with Owen before Thanksgiving break. We caught Ethan naked in the hallway—on a date and thinking they had the place to themselves for a night. I was no prude, but seeing junk not belonging to my boyfriend turned me three shades of red. I hadn’t even seen Owen’s, but I . . . felt it . . . a lot. On my leg, against my stomach, sometimes rubbing my back if he was holding me from behind. Why I was so bashful I couldn’t say, especially since I didn’t have a cherry to pop. But it was only one guy and only one time, shortly before he shredded my heart and then stomped all over it. Even though I couldn’t make my virginity grow back, I wasn’t quite ready to go there again. However, not being ready for sex had absolutely nothing to do with wanting it. Our time together always ended with a scorching kiss and groping against the nearest wall. Owen’s Southern gentility was probably wearing thin these past few weeks.
“Owen? The movie starts in a half hour!” I called as I strolled down the hallway.
“Hey, City. Give me a minute, practice ran late.” Owen had just stepped out of the shower and was dripping freaking wet. The V on his hips disappeared into a towel cinched around his tapered waist. Water traveled from the stray tangled locks at his neck and trickled down over his ripped chest and his abs before disappearing into the bunched up material at his waist. I licked my parched lips and tried to remember how to speak. How many damn abs did he have? Six? Eight? I was gaping at a wet, half naked Owen while the corner of the bastard’s mouth turned up in a smirk. I didn’t have the faculties to scowl back. My tongue didn’t want to work unless it was tracing the water trails across Owen’s body.
“Keep looking at me like that, baby. We won’t be going anywhere tonight.”
