You know that group of people in school that everyone fears? Popular. Beautiful. The in-crowd?
That was my family. Kind of.
We were above that group. We held court over everyone else. We were the best looking. We were the mysterious and elusive ones. Most of the girls wanted to (and did) date the guys, but they didn’t want to be one of us. They couldn’t be. They were our prey.
We were the feared.
But like every family, nothing is as it seems. That was my truth.
Kellan was in his own league. He was our leader and he was the one no one messed with. No one dared. He was ruthless, powerful, and no one could match him…
Except for me.
I was about to find out just how different I was from my family.
**Evil is a full-length paranormal romance stand-alone.
“You don’t have to be scared of what’s coming in the future. You’re my family.” The way he said ‘my family’ sparked something powerful in me. It was as if he laid claim to me or would die protecting me. I wasn’t sure what he meant, but I wasn’t brave enough to ask. A part of me was scared of his answer to that question, so I remained silent with my hands curled in the blanket.
Evil was a fantastic read. I’ve been a fan of Tijan’s books for quiet some time and haven’t had the pleasure of reading any of her paranormal books. That is something I will be changing very soon. Evil reminded me of exactly why I enjoy the paranormal genre so much. And I loved Tijan’s take on the paranormal genre.
Evil sucks you in from the very first page and will keep you intrigued the entire time. It is so well written, that you will find yourself unable to put the book down. You have no choice, but to keep on reading. The characters and their story, sucking you in and making you ask questions. It’s not just as simple as good vs evil. No, this book will have you walking that fine line of what is good and what is not. I loved the connection between Kellan and Shay. I loved the bond that they shared and just how deep their love went. You couldn’t help but find yourself rooting for these two and hope that all will be right with their world in the end.
In true Tijan fashion, Evil will totally consume you. There is a little something for everyone in this story. There is the age old battle of good vs evil. There is drama. There is intrigue. There is mystery. There are secrets and lies. Amazing paranormal aspects. And of course, a love that will last a lifetime. I loved everything about Evil. I couldn’t read the pages quick enough. My only complaint is that the story is over.
*I was provided an ARC copy of this book, in exchange for an honest review*
I didn’t begin writing until after undergraduate college. There’d been storylines and characters in my head all my life, but it came to a boiling point one day and I HAD to get them out of me. So the computer was booted up and I FINALLY felt it click. Writing is what I needed to do. After that, I had to teach myself how to write. I can’t blame my teachers for not teaching me all those years in school. It was my fault. I was one of the students that was wishing I was anywhere but at school! So after that day, it took me lots of work until I was able to put together something that resembled a novel. I’m hoping I got it right since someone must be reading this profile! And I hope you keep enjoying my future stories.
