tellmewhen

One night can transform everything.

Pierce Kelly has a good life. He’s the owner of a successful business and also has a wonderful family. But there’s a piece to his puzzle that has yet to fall into place. Disheartened, he takes a trip to Vegas, hoping it will help him clear his mind. When the legendary bright lights of the city do nothing but frustrate him further, he goes off on his own and unknowingly finds what he didn’t even know he was missing.

Ruby Russo’s life is a nightmare. She’s the only daughter of one of the most influential men in Las Vegas. It comes with a price… constantly being forced to be a pawn in her father’s game. Just when she thinks she’s about to be free of his wrath, Ruby finds that her personal hell is far from over; in fact, it’s just begun. She escapes for the evening to the only place she’s ever found solace but learns that she’s not alone.

Neither believes in love at first sight, but Pierce and Ruby bond on a level unimaginable the moment their eyes connect. Their optimism is quickly shattered when Ruby is forced to leave Pierce without an explanation. He returns home alone, where he continues living with a void that only she can fill.

When they finally find each other after years of loneliness, they discover that their lives are entwined deeper than just love.

My Review

“I want her. I want to be her boyfriend, her protector, her man. I want to be her everything. I’ve never believed in any of that love at first sight stuff because I’ve never experienced it until now. Until her. I don’t let myself question it’ I just know I’m not walking away from her.”

Tell Me When is the fourth book in the It’s Kind of Personal Series, but can totally be read as a stand-alone. Tell Me When follows the story of Pierce and Ruby and is told from dual points of view. Pierce has everything in life that one could wish for: an amazing job and an amazing family. But, he still feels like there’s something missing. So, he decides to take a trip to Vegas; hoping that will make things more clear to him. What he never planned on, was meeting Ruby. From the moment he saw Ruby, he felt an instant connection; it was love at first sight. He’s never felt like this before, but he knows that he has to be Ruby. There’s just one problem, he’s only in town for a few days…..Ruby’s life is a mess. She’s the daughter of one of Las Vegas’ most powerful men and can not live a life of her own. Meeting Pierce gives her hope. For once she has something of her own and feels freedom. Only life has other plans and thanks to her father, she won’t see Pierce again for 3 years…..Even though some time has passed, Ruby has never forgotten about Pierce and when these two are reunited, it’s as though no time has passed. Their connection is stronger than ever and this time, Pierce will stop at nothing to keep Ruby his….

Tell Me When was a quick and easy read for me. It definitely is an insta-love type of story. Usually I’m not the biggest fan of those types of stories. However, I think it worked really well in this instance. There was just something about Pierce and Ruby.Their chemistry was so scorching. The pages just melted with the sexiness that oozed between these two. Even thought they only knew each other for a short amount of time, you couldn’t help but find yourself rooting for the two of them and hoping that they would find their HEA. I love, love, loved Pierce. He was everything that Ruby never knew she needed. He was fierce and determined. He was sexy and dominate. He was a 100%, dirty mouthed alpha male and I could not get enough of him. I loved how possessive he was of Ruby and how sure he was of his feelings for her. And Ruby…She was pretty great too. I loved seeing her fight for Pierce. She loved him with everything that she had and wouldn’t let time come between them. I loved watching her battle her heart and mind and seeing her realize just how right Pierce was for her.

Overall, I really enjoyed Tell Me When. This book was very entertaining and held my interest the entire time. I enjoyed the characters and loved watching Ruby and Pierce fall. Even though Ruby and Pierce were separated for three years, their love proved to be stronger than ever and I honestly enjoyed watching the two of them fight for their HEA. This is my first book by Anna Brooks and I gotta tell you, I can not wait to go back and read the first three books in this series. This is definitely an author I am keeping my eyes on!

*I was provided an ARC copy of this book, in exchange for an honest review*
