When Nathan Jackson’s world shattered, and fell out from under him, his two best friends were there to help pick up the pieces. There’s nothing that Nate wouldn’t do for them.
It’s been a few years since then, and Nate’s life seems pretty content between his friends, work, and his love of dirt bike racing. When Nate’s out on the track, he can let it all go, be free, and finally feel at peace.
But when it comes to relationships, Nate’s not looking for anything long-term. He swears that love isn’t worth the risk—until she walks through the doors of Texas Jack’s.
Charlotte Davenport knows that something has to give, or life will pass her by. It’s time to add a little excitement to her routine. Charlie isn’t expecting much, but with her friends at her side, she feels ready to break out of her shell. But something’s missing.
When she, and her friends, head out to Texas Jack’s for a night of fun, Charlie meets him — Nathan Jackson. He just might be the man to help Charlie overcome her shyness, and shake up her world.
But first, Nate must be willing to let his guard down and take a chance on Charlie. And if that happens, can Charlie open herself up enough to let him in?
“She’s a part of you now. She’s under your skin, and in your heart. You know it. Ever if you want to fight it.”
Nate: A Texas Jacks Novel is a sweet contemporary romance and follows the story of Charlie and Nate. Told from dual points of view, Nate pulls you in from the very beginning. From the moment you are introduced to the characters, you have to know more. They are real. They are down to earth. They are people that I can see myself hanging out with in real life. And as real as they are, they are in no way perfect; which almost makes them that much more lovable.
Nate and Charlie’s story invoked so many feelings in me. At times taking me on an emotional and crazy ride. This book made me laugh. It brought tears to my eyes. It made me swoon and fall in love. And it frustrated me too. When you meet Nate, you can’t help but fall for this broken man. He’s not perfect. He wants to be with Charlie, but his past keeps him from moving on. So, yes, at times I felt myself frustrated at Nate. One minute he would be so sweet and swoon-worthy and then the next, I just wanted to reach through my kindle and shake him for breaking my heart. But, as crazy as Nate made me, in the end, he won me over.
And Charile, she was the best girl next door. She loved her family and was a faithful and dependable friend. She had never been in love before and Nate was just the challenge that she needed in her life. And at the same time, she was exactly right for Nate. She brought him back to life and slowly broke down his walls…
And the ending….Gosh, that ending!!! It was so perfect, so sweet. After everything that Charlie and Nate had gone through on their journey to HEA, I couldn’t have imagined a better ending for the two them. It made me swoon and brought tears to my eyes. I just loved it.
JB Morgan has once again blown me away. She has once again showed me the beauty of sweet and clean romance. She has given me fun and entertaining characters. As well as side characters, I’m dying to know more about. And in the end, she has left me with such a special story, and a smile on my face.
