My Review

What a fabulous read! This is my first book by this author and I am really looking forward to reading more from her in the future!

Protecting His Heart is told from dual points of view and follows the story of Felix and Arabella. Felix and Arabella haven’t spoken to one another in years. The last thing that Arabella wants to do, is go to Felix for help. You see, Arabella and Felix’s past is more complicated than anyone realizes. The two of them share a secret that no one and I mean no one knows about….they’re married! So, when a situation gets out of control, how do you ask your husband for help when you haven’t spoken to him in years?? Felix thought he’d put his past behind him. The last thing he expected was for Arabella to show up at his door. She comes to him with the guise of an impending threat against his life, but experience has taught him that there is more to what she’s saying than meets the eye. When the truth comes out and Felix realizes whats at stake, he wants to help Arabella out, however trust doesn’t come easy to him. Can Felix and Arabella put their feelings aside and work together? You’ll just have to read, to find out what happens next!

Protecting His Heart was a quick and easy read for me. I was intrigued by Felix and Arabella instantly. I wanted to know more about the two of them and how things could go so terribly wrong for them. They shared such intense chemistry. You could feel the love and passion just oozing off the two of them. I loved how the two of them were brought together and forced to be around one another. I think it really opened both of their eyes and made them see why they were together in the first place….if only they could work past their issues. I gotta tell you, I really enjoyed watching them try to find out.

Protecting His Heart was such a fun ride. I loved the story-line. I thought it was a great second chance romance with an exciting game of cat and mouse. This book was filled with danger, suspense and lots of action. There was also lots of romance, sexy good times and some angst to top it all off. This is my first read by this author and I can not wait to read more from her in the future.

*I was provided an ARC copy of this book, in exchange for an honest review*

Dana Volney Bio:

Dana Volney lets her imagination roam free in Wyoming, where she writes romances and helps local businesses succeed with her marketing consulting company. Surrounding herself with good friends and family, and boating on the lake whenever she can, she thrives on moments and memories created with loved ones, especially on sun-filled days. That’s when Wyoming’s charm really sinks in. Dana is bold, adventurous, and—by her own admission—good with plants, having kept a coral cactus alive for more than one year.
