Frankie Aleen, a Doberman-shifter, has lived her life in and out of both foster homes and animal shelters. Things aren’t what they seem in Woodland Creek and he’s sure that Frankie is harboring a dark secret—a secret that may be the key to solving the entire case.

So, I’ve just finished Running Free and my first thought is “K. Webster, is there anything you can’t do?”!! I have to tell you, I’ve been really blown away by the novellas that I’ve read in the Woodland Creek series so far, and Running Free does not disappoint! Running Free is well written, captivating and is told from dual points of view. You are pulled in from the very first page and just have to know more about Frankie and Gun.
I’m not going to go into a ton of details because as this is a novella, I don’t want to spoil anything for you. Here’s what I will say: Frankie and Gun are a lot of fun. They pull you in from the moment you meet them and have you begging for more. The two of them have scorching chemistry and you can’t help yourself from rooting for them.
Running Free is a fantastic paranormal romance. I loved the shifter story-line. I loved the sexy alpha male, that was alpha, but not over the top alpha. This book had the perfect balance of sex, drama, suspense, intrigue and romance. And I enjoyed every second of it!
